Thank you Kim for providing the key to a perfect wedding weekend! I rented this home for my wedding weekend and it provided the ultimate comfort, convenient location and plain out enjoyment that completed a stress free event. A lot of it I owe to the ability to relax and have my vendors come to my location instead of running around all day. We had 5 stay comfortably in the main house and two in the loft. The home is beautiful, comfortable and clean. The loft is stunning, just gorgeous! Both have phenomenal views and fantastic ways to enjoy them on large decks. From the home you can easily walk to downtown Hood River and enjoy the breweries, wineries and great restaurants. If you are looking for the complete package, look no further. Brides - this is the best option for a stress free perfect weekend. We had all of our vendors (make-up, hair, photographer) come to the house where we relaxed with coffee and views. It is an easy walk to many locations in Hood River and a great location to meet with groups through out your stay. Don't even think about a hotel, it simply can offer the amenities this house does.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

This property is fantastic. Great craftsman home with lots of beautiful details and lots of updates. The front porch has amazing views of Kite Beach and beautiful mountains in Washington State. My son lived in the hammock on the porch! The location is excellent - just a few walkable blocks into town. Hood River has great restaurants, shopping, bars with local craft beers and galleries. We loved Kite Beach. The kids swam, kayaked, and tried stand up paddle boarding. It was so cool watching all the kite surfers. Hood River is within a short drive of many hikes that lead to waterfalls and great views. White water rafting and biking are also close by. Kim was a great source of information and was very helpful during our stay.We all had a great time and will return again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

What a trip...what home! This was our first trip to the Columbia Gorge area and Hood River. It won't be our last. The best way to describe the area is that there is something for everyone. If you are an outdoor person or family at different levels of endurance or activity , this area offers incredible hikes, walks, bike rides, shopping, and dining to satisfy all levels. This house was a big part of our trips' success. Warm, inviting, clean, roomy and close proximity to all Hood River offers. So close to town that driving is a waste of time- you can be to your location by the time you park. I cannot recommend this house enough...the owner was very accommadating, and gracious with her time and home. Do not even consider a hotel...this home offers it all and more.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

We just returned from our week-long stay, and it was simply wonderful! The home is beautiful, welcoming and comfortable for all 3 generations of us in Hood River for a family wedding. The rooms are generous, the kitchen and baths well stocked and the house furnished for every activity from full family breakfasts to evening card games. The porch is lovely, with chairs, hammock and a fantastic view. The landscaping is beautiful, and the backyard is comfortable for lounging (out of the wind) and evening barbecues. The garage is useful and secure. The Tree House is just gorgeous, with its own deck and an incredible view. Even with the great vista, we were close enough to easily walk to town whenever we wished. We hope to stay there the next time we are in Hood River!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Dear Kim, June, 2009 was our first time to Hood River "The Gorge" and we found staying in your home made for a wonderful experience. The beautiful craftsman style lead to it's charm and the location is convenient to all amenities in the area. Entering your home, the outside world ceased to exist. You have indeed made it a perfect oasis in the bustle of the community. Sitting on the porch with family or friends made for a relaxing spot to catch up on news, have our tea or enjoy the night sky! My guests who live in the area were amazed by how comfortable and warm being in your home made them feel. The most amazing aspect, however was that I could sit on the porch and pick out my son from the throngs on the water while he kite surfed! Good for those days when I needed to just rest. Kim, We were also extremely pleased at the the way you saw to every detail to ensure our comfort. From the flowers on the table which welcomed us to the baskets of soaps & toiletries, fluffy towels & library; you made us feel welcome and at home. It was very special. Your home is a great spot for the active guest on the go or the one who wishes to stay home on occasion and just read a book. Book selection is fantastic! The back yard was very private and filled with flowers and cozy areas to sunbathe, sit, barbeque or simply meditate. The separate laundry room came in handy and again you saw to our having what we needed. We definitely look forward to returning and appreciate your sharing your home with us. We had a great time and love love love your home and it's original leaded glass windows which were gorgeous. Many Thanks. Priscilla in Canada.Did you find this review helpful? Our family spent three wonderful nights and days in this charming home. We had come to Hood River for my son's wedding so it was wonderful to have such a warm and delightful place to spend time & gather together. We enjoyed the many wonderful shops & restruants w/in walking distances but for me, sitting on the front porch w/ my grand-daughters taking in the grand view together, was priceless!Did you find this review helpful? This is a wonderful vacation spot! You couldn't ask for a better location...centrally located in the middle of town but up one street above the traffic of Oak street. This was a great home for families. Its a short walk to the town aquatic center and Mike's Ice Cream. The owner was great and we look forward to vacationing here again next summer!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

This is a great house - comfortably furnished and perfectly located... you have box seats for the vibrant Hood River Gorge experience just sitting on the front porch with your coffee taking in the view while considering the days possibilities. A short walk to pretty much everything. Room to enjoy yourself inside and out. A very positive and attentive owner. Highly recommended!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1
