Loved the view, Loved the apartment, Loved the neighborhood and absolutely LOVED San Francisco. We lived like locals, the apartment had every conceivable thing you would need, Parking, Laundry, very comfy bed, totally equipped kitchen, TV with lots of channels and even an umbrella for rainy days. We have already recommended this apartment to all our friends and we can’t wait to come back for another stay here. Cindy and James Lee, Singapore

We lived in San Francisco for 8 years and love coming back to visit friends and family. We were thrilled with the location, parking (what a luxury with two small children), furnishings and cleanliness of the apartment. The kitchen was stock with all appliances, pots, pans, dishes and utensils needed to cook. We were in close proximity to Safeway, Molly Stones, Starbucks, etc. Having stayed in several rentals in the Bay Area over the past four years, no VRBO owner has matched Paul in terms of provided detailed information to ensure we knew how to use the T.V., access the internet, find places of interest and nearby restaurants. We will absolutely return!!! Thank-you for such a wonderful stay.

I had the good fortune to rent this unit for two-and-a-half weeks in March. The place is clean, comfortable, very well equipped, has an excellent bed (double with memory foam mattress). The sheets are lovely, soft . There are lots of towels and a terrific shower. The floor-to-ceiling glass doors offer a wide-focus view of downtown San Francisco, the Bay Bridge, the Oakland hills. It is a dramatic and dynamic view -- one that I could -- and did -- spend hours admiring. A short 10-minute walk down (and back up) steep hills takes you to the shops and many restaurants of Noe Valley. There's a bus outside the door that connects to the excellent transportation system the city offers. Paul provides a very useful guide to the local area. And for extra points he had a space for my car in the garage. I would definitely stay here on a return visit. It's quite a nice find.

This was our first trip to the USA, we stayed in Hotels in NYC, LA and Las Vegas, we booked this apartment for our last 5 days in San Francisco. This apartment was so nice, that we now wish we had booked apartments in the other cities instead of cold hotels. The apartment was a pleasure to come home to after a hard days sightseeing. The owner has a policy of leaving food from previous guests, there was ample amounts of Tea, Coffee, sugar, Olive oil, salt, pepper etc, there was even a big bag of pancake mix, we made pancakes every morning for breakfast. The view was to die for, you can see the whole city and Bay. There was a laptop computer that came in very handy for planning our sightseeing trips. Also a laundry room with detergent supplied. We parked our rental car in the garage and only really used it to go to the supermarket and to restaurants. Great Holiday, we would love to stay here again.

My wife and I have been to San Francisco several times and we have stayed in a number of hotels. However, we believe that renting this apartment gave us the most relaxing and inviting experience we have had yet in this great city. We were made to feel very welcome and having a garage to park in and our very own amazing view of the city (one I have yet to have from a hotel window) made us feel as though we were locals. The apartment is very comfortable and at the end of the stay I did not have to add up all of the extra expenses: tips, parking, wi-fi, you name it. One price, great experience, hospitable proprietor... and can't say enough, try it for yourselves.

Paul's apartment was exactly what was described in the listing and in the reviews we read before our trip. The location was great - very easy access to lots of spots in the city and the garage parking was really nice to have after a day hauling 3 kids around. The apartment was clean, modern and well cared for. Internet access was a plus and Starbucks just down the road was a nice way to start the day. Our boys slept great on the futon and one of their favorite days of the whole trip was when we came back "home" after a day of sights and watched a movie and ordered pizza and chinese from two of places Paul had listed in his book of recommended restaurants. Great place for a wonderful family vacation - would definitely stay here again on a future trip.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It has a great view (when there wasn't fog)and a parking spot which was important to us since we had a rental car. It's just minutes from the airport. The kitchen has the items needed for a stay away from home. The elevator made bringing bags up and down easier. Also, good for those who have trouble using stairs. The bedding was very, very comfortable. We always seemed to get up late and I think it was the bed. Paul was great to deal with. I would definitely stay here again.

I lived in San Francisco a long time ago, and every trip back is a chance to visit old neighborhoods and explore new ones. This time I decided to stay at Paul's place in Twin Peaks for a weekend, and was not disappointed. The apartment was quiet, very comfortable, and conveniently located. I loved the fact that there were no hassles with finding a parking space (always a challenge in San Francisco) for my rental car.The restaurants and shops along West Portal made for a vibrant neighborhood. And it's pretty easy to venture beyond the immediate area into The Castro, The Mission District, Cole Valley, and just about anywhere else in the city you care to see. I discovered Glen Canyon Park for the first time, and recommend it as an alternative to Golden Gate Park if you want a really challenging morning run.The apartment has all the amenities you could need, and is a much better bargain than any San Francisco hotels. I would stay there again on any return trip. Hope that's soon.

We stayed in the apartment for a week and absolutely loved it. It had everything we needed and a truly spectacular view. It was very handy for public transport and we just caught the bus every morning to head out for the day. We walked around to get groceries etc and it felt like a very safe neighbourhood. We have a 3 year old and it was a very friendly apartment for her as well.

We stayed at Paul's unit from March 21-24, 2010. Paul's place is a great alternative to the pricey hotels, especially with the $45/night parking fees that the hotels charge. Paul's place has ample parking and is a 15-min bus/train ride to the center of downtown at Powell Station. The place is perfectly stocked with everything you need and has a laptop for use, cable, DVDs, and Netflix on demand all for free. Paul is the perfect vacation landlord; he is available for any questions and any assistance anytime, but he doesn't intrude into your plans or your privacy. I will not stay anywhere else in San Fran, Paul's place is it.

The Twin Peak's apartment was a great way to experience San Francisco! The unit is centrally located and offered one of the most breathtaking views of the city. The Unit spaciously accommodated our party of 5. Paul is a generous host and has really made an extra effort to get us acquainted with the area. Paul's Twin Peak rental is one that I will surely rent again.

The apartment was a great find for our 2 week stay! Not only is it stylish and well equipped - with a jaw dropping view, it also provides easy access to all San Francisco has to offer. We were able to leave the car in the garage and explore San Francisco via the very convenient and close by public transport. Just around the corner is the hill top of Twin Peaks with spectacular views. Paul and Debbie are very welcoming and provide you with everything you could need. The information package e-mailed in advance was most helpful in preparing for our stay. We also appreciated Paul's extra (and maybe new) service of receiving and looking after parcels for us prior to our arrival. This saved us having to lug around extra stuff. Our daughter loved the free Netflix movies. Disney non-stop. We had a great time. Thanks Paul and Debbie.

We stayed for 4 nights with two children aged 7 and 4, and found the apartment had everything we needed. We particularly liked the full kitchen, the Wifi access, and the proximity to the bus line. We didn't have a car, so used the bus and cable cars to explore the city. We would have preferred to be able to walk to eat at night, but the buses were frequent enough. We LOVED the city, and the character of Castro. The view was fantastic. The extra bed was also handy as our kids sleep better when not fighting over bedding. It was also really handy to have use of the laundry downstairs. Overall we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this apartment.

Paul, Loved that view, the ever changing picture of your city. Thought the place was well equipped, enjoyed the net flix on the t.v. Appreciated your being available for any questions. I have two suggestions: to give some directions/landmarks to finding your place and to give the carpet a cleaning... I will definitely recommend the place to my friends who come out there and I will most likely see you next year. Kate
Owner response:Hi Kate, I am glad you enjoyed the apartment and had a good time. Thanks for taking the time to post a comment and also for the suggestions, actually the guests before you were a family with small kids, and the kids spilled stuff all over the carpet, we had the carpets cleaned the day you left. I know you had difficulty finding the apartment as you arrived at night time and were trying to read a map while driving, I am glad Debbie and I were home, were able to take all your phone calls, direct you to the apartment, help you park and check you in. I always recommend guests to print out MapQuest directions or rent a GPS with their rental car. Looking forward to seeing you again next year, Thanks Paul

The appartment really felt like coming back to a home base, well equipped and furnished aswell as the added extras- groceries to greet us/spices/ sugar. They really loved the internet connection. We arrived to the Apartment on a very foggy day; we could not see the far side of the street,So we were wondering when we would see the “Fantastic View”When we woke the first morning the sun was shining and YES the View was fantastic.I would advise everybody to bring sweatshirts as the San Francisco fog can be very cold,And then an hour later it can be very hot, so you have to dress in layers, put your sweatshirts on when its foggy and take them off when it sunny.Anyway enough about the weather.San Francisco is one of the most beautiful cities in the world; we loved the city, (except for the homeless people begging downtown). Paul’s apartment is in a great location to explore the city; we had a rental car, we just used the car to go to the supermarket and to restaurants at night, and just parked it during the day and used the bus to get around. The 37 bus stop is just across the street, and it comes every 15 minutes in the mornings. We would take the 37 to Castro and then transfer to the historic Tram cars and take them to downtown or Fisherman’s Wharf. You can use the same bus ticket on both the bus and the trams and it only costs $1.50The apartment is very nicely furnished and has everything any family would need, there were four us, my husband and I and our 2 children, ages 11 & 13.The Safeway supermarket is very close and its open 24 hours, we did not use Paul’s phone number to get the discount the first time we went, but did every other time, DO USE IT, as you get huge discounts. The information brochure was a great help, we loved the local restaurant tips.Overall we had a fun time in San Francisco and have already told all our friends about the apartment,It was so much nicer to stay in a homely apartment, than a cold hotel room. Thanks Paul, 10 out 10

You do not really need a car, a bus stop is close to the flat and if you buy a Citypass the use of public transportation includig the cable cars is free for 7 days. The restaurant recommendations of Paul are also recommentable. We could not try all os them, but what we visited convinced us.
