we rented the condo in June for a week, my husband, myself and 2 year old son. The condo was very clean, had everything we needed like a house, and was close to the Embassy Suites Hotel for which we had family staying. We choose not to stay at the hotel because the extra cost associated with staying at a hotel. We had our own parking spot as well as a full size kitchen, with washer and dryer which were very important to us traveling with a 2 year old. The condo was quiet and very secure. We felt extremely safe and there was a security guard around every time I stepped outside, also you have to have a key to get in and out of the beach area. We really enjoyed staying at Ilka & Ramons condo and would stay there again if or when we go back to PR. Ramon was very helpful and brought us a map of the area and recommended places to eat and grocery stores to shop.
Owner response:We are so glad that you and your family had a wonderful time spent at our Villa. We will be me more than happy to have you again in the near future. It was our pleasure to meet you. Kindest Regards, Ilka & Roberto

We stayed in this villa for a week and it was everything we asked for. Very homey and comfortable for the 4 of us and my 2 year old. Perfect location really private and gated with security. Beach was just steps away also the pool so we couldn't ask for anything better. Ilka and Ramon were very nice and hospitable. There was close restaurants, bakeries, gas station and supermarket. Of course you would definetly need a car to get around in Puerto Rico. I would recomend anyone to rent this villa if you like to be away from the congested Isla Verde where all the tourist stay. I would definetly stay here again. Thank you Ilka and Ramon.
Owner response:Thank you very much for choosing our home for your vacation. It was our pleasure to have you and hope you come back again in the near future. Warmest Regards!! Ilka & Roberto

My husband and I recently visited Puerto Rico during March on vacation and to visit with family. We had always stayed previously in Isla Verde. We found the Ramon's Villa to be very clean and appreciated much the linens and paper products offered. Most of all we liked that we could partake of the amenities offered by the Embassy Suites Hotel next door as we only had a little walk to the beach and pool area of the hotel. This hotel offers a nice Restaurant and a nice Casino if you want to have some excitement at night. The Villa was very secure as well as the surrounding developments. With 2 nice parking spaces, we invited family members to visit us during our stay and we could enjoy company at the Villa. The complex is well looked at and maintained. We had plenty of shopping markets, such as Super Max and Amigo as well as drug stores. We stopped by at the La Hacienda meat market and loved their products. There were plenty of places to eat nearby. And we enjoyed the recently opened Krispy Kremes, which was a sensation in the island. We rented a car and had an opportunity to visit many areas. The town of Bayamon is nearby and you can stop by (Exit 13 on the expressway) and shop at Sam's Club where you can find great bargains if you are staying an extended period of time as we were. For anyone visiting Puerto Rico, don't forget to visit Old San Juan, El Yunque and Luquillo Beach and the Arecibo Radar. Popular places to eat at San Juan are the Raices Restaurant and La Bombonera. If you feel more adventurous go to Guavate in Cayey, PR to eat the famous PR roasted pork (lechon) and typical dishes. You can also explore famous areas like Fajardo (east of the island) and Rincon (west and famous for its beaches). I loved the Dorado area and even looked at sales of properties in Sabanera and Los Paseos de Dorado. Thank you Ilka for helping us have a good stay in my beautiful island of Puerto Rico and we would highly consider your Villa for another stay.
Owner response:We are so glad that you and your family enjoyed your stay in this beautiful Island!. We hope you visit us again in the nearest future. Thanks!

Just a short note to thank you for a lovely stay at your beautiful home. The advantage of having the pool and beach so close to the property was truly very convenient. We appreciate the immediate and "necessary" amenities that were available and there for us. Be assured that we will highly recommend your property. Good Luck and continued success in selling in your home. We hope to return soon! Warmest regards, Anna & Tony

Our stay was from Aug. 23 - Sept. 1, 2010, and it was a pleasant one. Everything you see on this site is exactly what you can expect. The place is safe, clean, quiet, and most importantly relaxing. The owners Ilka and Roberto Ramon are sweet and pleasant to work with. The pool and beach are just a few steps away. This was a plus for us. We enjoyed listening to the sounds of the waves from the terrace in the morning and at night. The location was perfect for us to visit our family and friends. The convenience of the shopping center just a short drive away. The town "Dorado" is very clean and we enjoyed driving through it. It's a different experience compare to a stay in Isla Verde. If you want peace and relaxation this is the place to stay. We will definitely consider this place for our future stay. Best wishes to Ilka and Ramon and keep up the good work.
Owner response:Thanks so much for choosing our Villa for your vacations. It was our pleasure to serve you and any future date we will be more than happy to have you and your family in our Villa!. Greetings from Puerto Rico!!

Our stay in PR had some mixed reviews, mostly based off of weather and complications from it, but the villa was the best! Any days we decided to stick around "home" and enjoy the water and take it easy were our favorite days of our vacation. Ilka and Roberto were very accommodating, and pleasant to talk with, great with suggestions and directions. A big thanks to Roberto for meeting us at the rental car office and escorting us to the property, with a stop at the grocery store on the way...The spacious villa was the perfect size for our family of 3 and came ready with any basic items needed. (towels, dishes and pans, washing machine, blender, etc.) Grocery stores were close, along with several restaurants and other stores to grab anything needed. Our daughter particularly enjoyed her evening hunts for frogs and lizards that strolled the property freely, and iguanas that lounge around the ponds at the golf course. The property was very well maintained, gated and secure with guards doing routine checks, so we felt comfortable letting our 12 year old wander around without worry. We had also met a couple of the neighbors who were very interested on suggesting things to do and giving recommendations. The beach at the property was nice, with lots of grass and sand, calm waters, great area for a swim and to bury our daughter up to her neck in sand. :) We were a little disappointed that there was no place to snorkel or body board nearby, and no one around seemed to know of a good place to do so. Most people didn't know what body boarding was, which we found surprising. Although we never made it over there, we heard the west coast was the surfing area, so maybe we would have had more luck there. We had many great dining experiences, though i was the only one brave enough to indulge in the mufongo and plantains - quite an experience. Overall, great villa, excellent renters, and a beautiful property to spend your time. Perfect example of doing less was doing more, and much less complicated! I suggest you fight the urge to go do things and see places if you come for a visit, and JUST BE! Thank you, Ilka and Roberto for everything. You have a beautiful place that I would recommend to anyone! Much appreciated!

We just back from our Trip to Puerto Rico and we stayed at this Villa. We enjoyed our stay there very much. The Beach and the Pool are just steps away from the back balcony. The oweners Ilka and Roberto were always alvailble for any question we had. The villa is very well appointed. We are thinking of returning next year but this time for 2 weeks. Very Secure and private.

After having a bad experience with another vacation home owner, this Villla was a little slice of heaven that exceeded our expectations. The pictures of the beach do not do it justice. The Villa held everything that we needed as far as linens, spices and paper products and we look forward to returning. It was extremely kid friendly and we swam ocean by day and the pool by evening. With security doing frequent walk throughs and the gated community we felt very secure. The hotel next door was also helpful in helping us to get around to some local attractions. If I had to make any complaints it would be that the queen sized bedroom did not have a television. Luckilly we spent so much time on the beach and exploring PR that it turned out not to be be too big a deal. Ilka and Roberto thank you so much again for allowing the use of your Villa.. I'm looking forward to my second trip to Puerto Rico...

Our stay at the villa was completely wonderful! We traveled with 4 adults and 2 young children. The access to the pool and beach was great - close by but with the security of locked gates. The local stores were conveniently located and had everything we needed. The villa was clean and well stocked with linens. If you want to see things on the island a car is necessary, but everything is fairly close. Overall the trip was great!

We stayed at the Villa for 9 days in June 2009. The place is absolutely beautiful. It is literally a few steps from the beach and also a few steps away from the pool. The location is very convenient and very secure. It is located between San Juan and the West Coast of PR, makig it easy for us to travel throughout the island w/ no problems. We did have one problem w/ the refrigerator but it was handled immediately by the owners. I would highly recommend this Villa and am hoping to return very soon. Thank you Ilka and Roberto!! Fue un placer. Cuidense. Sincerely, Ruthie.

This is an amazing villa and very comfortable. It was immaculately clean, modern appliances, nice beach decor, central air, many other conveniences and within walking distance to the pool and beach (not to mention the Embassy Suites hotel next door). If you want to sight see, you definitely would need a car to travel around as it's about 30 min away from the San Juan (tourist) area. There was a nice little shopping plaza next to the gated community entrance which was very convenient for groceries and other items. This was my first time dealing with a privately owned property and the whole experience couldn't have been any better. The owners Ilka & Roberto were extremely courteous, proffessional and always available for any question or concern which put any of my worries / fears to rest. I would highly recommend this villa and thank their owners Ilka & Roberto for making my family's stay a very pleasant one.

We were just us two staying at this villa for 10 days in March 2009. The villa is bright and cozy, very clean and modern-well equipped. The beds are amazingly comfortable and we enjoyed having a fully fitted kitchen. For non-families it might be unpleasant, that the bathroom has one door to the main bedroom and that the second toilet has no exhaust. The terrace door needs a repair. The Ocean Villas housing area is a well maintained and quiet gated community (seems to be a weekend accommondation for most of the owners), beach on one side - golf course on the other hand. The Embassy Suites beach is really only a few steps away from the back door but I'd recommend the Dorado Beach in walking distance further to the west for whiter sand, bluer water and a more interesting ambience. The owners are exceedingly helpful and friendly, the rental transaction was very professionally handled. Traffic towards San Juan can be bothersome but you need a rental car to discover the island. Overall we had an awesome time in Puerto Rico, the island is beautiful, the people are friendly and the house is to feel comfortable. We are looking forward to coming back again.
Owner response:The terrace door was repaired.
