Our unit #434 is located in building 41 at Kiahuna. You will step into paradise as soon as you arrive at Kiahuna. We love this unit because it is extremely bright, spacious and cheerful. It provides a perfect home away from home for all while on vacation! The furniture is brand new and extremely comfortable. We have updated the living room TV with a 32" flat-screen TV, DVD player and a stereo system for CD's, iPods and mp3 players. The bedroom has its own new flat-screen TV (very few units at Kiahuna provide TV's in the bedroom) which is perfect for watching TV while lounging in bed. There is also wireless internet available free of charge in the unit.(also not typically found at Kiahuna!)
The kitchen is extremely well-equipped, with updated amenities. The view from the balcony is beautiful; there is even a peek-a-boo view of the ocean! The late afternoon sun shines through the plantation shutters but does not heat up the unit. You can relax on the chaises on the lanai and take in a panoramic view of the enormous Kiahuna sky!
The beach at Kiahuna is one of the most popular beaches on the South Shore. You can obtain complimentary chairs and towels from the beach hut. Our unit has 2 boogie boards for great body surfing and a beach umbrella to protect you from too much sun.
Kiahuna Plantation is the perfect vacation spot for all ages. You will feel that you have found paradise on earth as soon as you step on the Kiahuna grounds! The beach is large, private and beautiful. You can snorkel, body-surf, boogie-board, surf, or just tan yourself in the sand, or sit under the breezy palm trees on the grassy area next to the beach. The snorkel area is calmer and provides a perfect spot for younger children to play in the ocean.
Unit 434 is about a 4 minute walk to the beach across the beautiful Kiahuna grounds. The pool and tennis courts are about a 3 minute walk across the street. The newly renovated pool has a hot tub and a fun water slide for the kids. There is even a shallow, sandy area for the little ones. There is also a fabulous restaurant next to the tennis court, very casual and delicious. They even have a happy hour!

Activities (on site or nearby): There is plenty to do and see around Poipu and on the island of Kauai. Exploring waterfalls, hiking, snorkeling with sea turtles, and enjoying great meals at the restaurants (just footsteps away) are our favorite pastimes on the island. For the golf lovers, there are many champion golf courses in Poipu. Or just relax and watch the ocean waves. Boogie boarding in the warm Hawaii ocean is great fun for all ages.

"This unit was the perfect home base for our Kauai vacation! The condo itself was very clean and comfortable, had state-of-the-art TVs and iPod hookups, great beds, very useful beach equipment, and best of all, a location on an absolutely great stretch of sand. We could walk right down the beach to great snorkeling, but could also walk to great restaurants (had one of our best meals ever!), or cook fresh fish on the BBQ provided. We golfed and hiked, and found the location convenient to just about everything we wanted to do.
