This place was better than we expected! The floor plan is ideal with good sized living room and separate bedroom. Kitchen was awesome. The lanai is perfectly peaceful overlooking the garden. I couldn't see paying twice the price for an ocean view! Everything was very convenient - pool, parking, beach, restaurants (Roy's was excellent), shopping, equipment rental (Kimo's!) The other beaches nearby are also fantastic. Go snorkeling at Poipu Beach. We loved staying here & you will too!

We would like to thank you for the use of your condo last month. We had an incredible time! The accommodations couldn't have been more perfect! The location couldn't have been more perfect. Poipu is the perfect area for everything you imagine Hawaii to be. My teenagers loved boogie boarding on Brenneke's white sand bottom beach. They would go out to their waists and the powerful waves brought them right into shore. Needless to say, the boogie boards you provided were well used. The younger kids loved the sea turtles that played in the surf right next to where the teenagers were. Poipu was perfect for snorkeling. We were amazed you could just dip under the water almost wherever in Poipu and it seemed as if you were in an aquarium. Our favorite beach however was Kiahuna. Our family stayed at the Waiohai Marriott just next door, and we felt hands down that Kiahuna had a much better beach. Our family would leave the Marriott to come play and picnic on the huge lawn of Kiahuna. The waves on Kiahuna and the shore were much cleaner than any other beach we went to on Kauai. Your unit was perfect for us. We loved the high ceilings, the plantation shutters and the cool breeze that would cool the condo while we slept. We eventually got used to the sounds of the island and found that we missed them when we returned to Colorado. We didn't cook in the kitchen a lot, our family decided to BBQ almost every night, but it was perfect for the teenagers late night snacks and our early morning breakfasts on the lanai. Wow that lanai is huge! It was bigger than the lanai at my parents 2 bedroom Marriott condo! I have to mention how well stocked the kitchen was. We made a big family dinner and we were so impressed to find a potato masher! You have thought of everything. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay there. We hope to stay again soon.

Our trip was awesome! We will be going back to Kauai for sure. Your condo was absolutely perfect. Having a fully stocked kitchen/near by BBQ/ and beach toys was awesome. The Kiahuna plantation was perfect for us and our 10 month old. Great place for families. Some of our favorite things we did: Poipu beach, Poipu farmers market, snorkeling tunnels beach, surf lessons, exploring the north shore, eating avocados the size of my head, botanical gardens....thank you for your hospitality.

Kiahuna Plantations condo # 434 was absolutely gorgeous. We had a wonderful time on the beaches of Kauai, and loved knowing that after a long day at the beach we could go back to our comfortable beach condo and prepare a nice meal. We took advantage of all of the condos aminities, including the beach umbrella, ice chest, boogy boards, ipod dock, safe, and kitchen utensils. We also took advantage of the Kiahuna Plantations amenities, including the outdoor BBQ's, laundry services, the pool, complementary beach chairs and towels. Thank you for sharing your beautifully updated beach condo with us!

Your condo was AWESOME. we really appreciated the kitchen equipped with nice knives and other cooking supplies. Loved that the condo had upgrades like wood, nice TVs, fans, nice fixtures, etc etc. many rentals skimp and go for the minimum but we loved that your condo had everything, great location and many amenities. We loved your condo, the interior design was beautiful, upon arrival you truly feel like you have arrived in Hawaii! The surrounding area was very nice & Poipu Center had good diversity in shops & restaurants. We drove down to Koloa quite often for groceries & more restaurants. Its a beautiful island and we would return again, the local people are so friendly, the restaurant choices beat Maui hands down.We thank you for helping our first visit to Kauai, a great place to come back to : )

Thanks, we had a great time! We really enjoyed our visit to Kauai in particular and our stay in 434. We drove up to Hanalei and hiked into the Napili coast. We also visited Waimea Canyon and loved that as well. Thank you so much for working with us on the dates and being open to us moving the dates, even though we didn't end up doing that. We had a wonderful time in Kauai! Your condo was a perfect choice. We were next to one of the best beaches, great food, and midway to any activities. Your condo had everything we needed, kitchen was ready for anything, bathroom was clean and the tub was great. The bed was very comfortable and the cross breeze made sleeping pleasant. Randy, it's a beautiful condo. I loved the hardwood floor (I believe it's hickory wood). It's quiet and convenient to shops. Weather was great in August on Kauai Island. We enjoyed the surfing boards that the owner (Randy) provided in the room. Very clean and comfortable condo. My wife and daughter enjoyed it very much.

This year was our second consecutive time staying at Kiahuna and I wouldn't stay anywhere else on the island (Not even the Grand Hyatt)... Randy exceptional thought into this place makes for a comfortable stay. So much so, we are looking into our third straight year in Kauai... Despite hearing,"Dont you wanna see something else?!?!?"...Not when you know what to expect on Kauai! :) Thanks Randy!!!

Kiahuna Plantation Condo

This is a clean, comfortable condo in a great location. The kitchen is fully equipped, and we made many meals there. There are also restaurants near by, some which you can walk to. The place is also kid- friendly, with a grass area just outside the balcony where they played. They also made use of the boogie boards which were provided by the owner. We greatly enjoyed our stay, and would recommend it to others.

We very much enjoyed our trip to Kaua'i and your condo was great! The floors, furniture, bathroom, etc were all nice and comfortable. We were there for our "babymoon", so my pregnant body very much appreciated all the pillows you provided! Our interactions with Castle were limited to check-in and check-out, but both went very smoothly. I think our only comment is related to cooking. We made several meals at the condo and it would have been nice to have a selection of basic spices to use such as salt, pepper, etc instead of having to go buy much more than we could use. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will keep you in mind when we return to the island and recommend it to our friends and family.

My Christmas present to my family was a trip to Kauaii. My daughter, her husband, my two grand daughters, my son and my significant other joined me at Kiahuna Plantation. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. The grounds at the resort are phenomenal - especially the orchid garden. We had dinner at the Plantation and the meal was excellent and the waiter made it unforgettable with advice on things to see and do on our visit. The only negative was that the pool slide was broken for our entire trip but we managed to dump buckets of water on it so that my grand daughters could get a feel of what it would be like when it was working. Don't let anyone tell you that the ckickens are a problem. I loved them! They visited us daily, including a Mom and her seven chicks. I'm an early riser so the noise just added to the charm of the resort. The beach in front of the resort is the best on the Island as far as I am concerned. Perfect for boogie boarding, snorkeling and just relaxing as well as people watching. Renting through an owner is the best way to go for a one bedroom unit. Our unit was well decorated, stocked with great kitchen gear and I loved reading the comments from past guests. It's a great way to get ideas on where to eat and what to do. With any luck, we will return for many more Christmas vacations!

I go to Kauai every year and have stayed in many different condos and found this unit to be very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and the furniture was comfortable and clean. The bath area has been updated. Thank you for sharing this unit.

Kiahuna Plantation is Paradise

We stayed at this unit in September 2010 for 4 nights. Our stay was lovely. The grounds of the Kiahuna Plantation are absolutely immaculate and beautifully maintained. Although it is a large property, it is quiet and feels very private. This particular unit did not disappoint. It's very clean, comfortable and well equipped and an excellent value. Randy, the owner, goes the extra mile. When we moved to the north side of the island for the second half of our vacation and realized the princeville condo that we were due to move into was a dump, we called Randy to see if we could move back into her unit at the Kiahuna. Unfortunately it was already re-rented but Randy tried to line us up with another place all the way from Europe where she was on her own vacation!

Randy gave us a great deal on this beautiful place. The unit is very well kept, spacious and luxurious. And the amenities of the resort/estate are amazing! Didn't have the opportunity to try the pool, but definitely try out the BBQ grills by the beach. Nothing like grilling while watching the sun set on the beach.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful Kiahuna condo this past May/June. From the first contact through the VRBO site we enjoyed working with you. We did not want to leave! Your place is clean, updated, and comfortable in every way! We really appreciated all of the extra fans throughout the condo and the two flat screen televisions to choose from. We will definitely be considering your beautiful place for future visits. The only suggestion would be the addition of a couple of beach chairs for off site beaches. Other than that, you have thought of everything we could have needed. Thank you for taking such good care, and for sharing your place with us.

This condo was perfect for our stay in Poipu! It had everything we needed and more (boogie boards, small cooler for lunches, TV in bedroom). The wifi was a great bonus too! Location was perfect in dry & sunny Poipu with walking-distance restaurants and nearby Koloa town. We loved happy hour at Casablanca by the pool! Can't wait to return someday.

Clean and well maintained condo in a beautiful setting - the perfect home base. A beautiful walk through gardens and lush lawns takes you right to the beach. The condo is right cross the street from great restaurants, Starbucks, and grocery store. The condo itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The lanai is huge and looks over a nice lawn area. This condo has all the conveniences and comfort of home. The staff at Kiahuna Plantation were all very pleasant, friendly and helpful too. We will definitely stay there again and would recommend it to all our friends.

We are two home bodies that don't travel a great deal, but when we stepped into this condo, we felt instantly at home. Clean, comfortable, with just the right updates and ammenities. The grounds at Kiahuna were outstanding and the staff kind and attentive. I think I was most impressed with the value we received for renting this condo, after seeing the condo first hand, I would have expected it to cost a lot more than it did. I would absolutely stay here again, in fact, I can't wait to go back and have recommended it to all my family and friends.

We had an amazing time...thanks for asking. I've put our comments on TripAdvisor about our stay. I'll try to put some on the vrbo website too. The appointment was so well appointed and tastefully decorated. It really felt like home for the two weeks we were there. Also really conveniently located for beach, shops and rest of the island. Missing being there...especially since we are now back in freezing cold UK. Not sure I've got any recommendation for improvement...perhaps the only downside was how early the local chickens wake up...but that's a problem wherever you are on Kauai and there's nothing you can do about it!

I was initially concerned that this unit was located towards the back of the resort's property - potential road noise. It was not an issue and was just this quiet and peaceful as the other units on this beautiful property. The recommendation I got was if you like "old Hawaii," Kiahuna plantation is the way to go. If you'd rather spend your money on touring the island, this clean, well appointed unit is a great value leaving you a lot of dollars to play with. Why not excellent? Not a ground floor unt. Would we book here again?. In a heartbeat.

We had one of the best vacations ever and this comfortable condo played an important role in it. Owners were great, accommodating, informative, and pleasant during booking, preparing for trip, trip itself, and even after. We already recommendeded this condo to several of our friends and coworkers. We found this unit very well equipped, nicely furnished, and convenient. Everything we needed was there! We used owners' advices on shopping (Big Save in Kalua was our favorite) and additional fool maid service in the middle of our stay. Outrigger's staff was great and above expectations. Overall, we are very happy with our time spent on the beautiful Kauai and in this condo and hope to do it again.
