My wife and I stayed most of four months at Orion's Crossing the winter of 09-10 and just loved it! Before renting we checked out many cabins. This one stands out. This is first class in every respect. The furniture is beautiful and comfortable; nice flat screen TV in LR, cable TV in every room, DSL Internet, game table, Wii game, hot tub, great views from all three bedrooms. Lots of glass looking out to majestic mountain views; You can bathe in the sun, but it also has a partially covered deck, which is important since the sun can be intense at 4,000 ft.), great deck furniture, etc. It was fun to look "down" on hawks as they caught thermals and then soar overhead. You have your own little waterfall coming off the mountain that you drive or walk by daily. Extras such as a full size washer/dryer and gas bbq grill are very nice. And we absolutely loved the Roman Shower - big enough for 4 people - (not that we did that!) The pictures on line do not do Orion's Crossing justice. Enjoy - we certainly did! Rich and Linda Sue

This is such a beautiful property - the design of the home is perfect for 3 couples. We had a great time relaxing on the porch, admiring the gorgeous views. The kitchen is outfitted very well, the decor is so tasteful and comfortable, and the owners even took time to make notes on how to operate the TV/DVD & telescopes. Unfortunately, we are all now completely addicted to WII bowling that we spent our evenings playing!

Orion's Crossing-Aug 2008 The home is a peaceful paradise. You will be amazed the minute you walk through the door. A luxurious mountain retreat nestled in the woods welcomes you with it's arms wide open. Providing a comfortable atmosphere enhanced with the latest in interior design. The pictures on the website are understated to the beauty the home offers. The location and charm of Maggie Valley was perfect. We endured several activities from Asheville to Bryson. I highly recommend any of the following- After a day hiking in the Smokey Mountains, white water rafting, riding the railway, shopping in Waynesville, or walking the Biltmore We enjoyed a relaxing evening pampering ourselves in the soothing hot tub, resting on the deck in the chase lounge gazing up at the stars, nestled up to the fire pit in a glider rocker with a good book, or enjoying the wonderful mountain view you can see while curled up on the sofa inside The mountain view is stunning and ever changing. A foggy and cloudy morning when the clouds were playing peek-a-boo with the mountains. A storm that past through with far away lighting, to an amazing clean crisp sky that allowed the sun to light up every peak and shadow every valley. A full moon illuminated the sky for unforgettable nightly views. Our family was delighted to have dinner at the picnic table on the deck. It is also a good place to watch the sunrise through a few trees while enjoying a cup of coffee. I did take a small hike in the mornings and found the perfect rock to sit on for a clear view of the sun rise. It was an incredible experience so quite and peaceful The master bedroom and the bedroom on the top floor both have french doors to the deck and amazing views. The lowerlevel offers a retreat in its own - the bedroom is lovely-nice view. The wii system, card table, sofa great for family activity or teenager space For those of you who enjoy bird watching there is plenty of activity to embrace from the deck. humming birds There is great attention to detail through out the home that makes you feel welcome. The home owners have made sure you feel at home by placing laminated notes on many items making sure you can operate the television, park safely, work the hot tub etc. We greatly appreciated this extra thought Leaving me to the beloved home owners. I had a great experience - They responded asap, always pleasant, & helpful. I appreciated all of the kindness and personal attention. We highly recommend Orion's
