My partner and I booked the estate over a long weekend. We were referred to the owner by a dear friend who raved about his wonderful stay. The listing descriptions are certainly accurate and the property is immaculately kept. While the nearby towns are easily accessible by car, we preferred to stay on the property. We very much enjoyed hiking and the use of the fireplace in the chilly May evening. Our favorite time was sunrise, breakfast on the balcony of the central house that overlooks an impressive piece of earth, an inspirational view. We contacted the owner before arrival and upon departure. She was wonderful and we hope to visit again soon!Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We were skeptical when we read 'magical' but it's true! The modern-accented architecture coupled with the pastoral landscape, creates a quality that is truly transporting. Our cast/crew consisted of 15 people renting for 3 weeks to shoot a feature film. Upon arriving we were met with peace and nature; things that don't exist in our native New York City. Great Blue Herons and frogs thrive here. We even spotted a wild turkey heading past a Buckminster Fuller geodesic dome placed between romantic weeping willows that host tree swings...yes, magic! The Barn and the Main cottage were spotless, well-maintained, and so tastefully put together; each room with it's own personality, color scheme, and exquisite attention to detail. Ageless textiles, works of art, pianos in each house- this place is camera ready. Kitchen great for cooking meals for large groups. Well equipped, open space, a cook's kitchen. Washer/dryer, bathrooms, bedding- all good. We couldn't be happier. While it served as the ideal film location, we'd certainly recommend this to any group or family looking to get away, relax, and simply enjoy.Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
