Welcome to Casas Costa Ballena, drive through our gate onto 2 acres of landscaped tropical beauty set on a knoll 450 feet above the Pacific Ocean with spectacular 360 degree ocean and mountain vistas. Access to our place is an easy 300 meters up the road from the best highway in all of Costa Rica,just 15 km south of Dominical. No need for a 4WD vehicle to access our place even in the rainy season. The casa is surrounded by tropical plants and a beautiful Guanacaste tree shades the pool and pool deck. The tree and the plants attract all sort of tropical birds including the spectacular toucan. The infinity edge pool, the pool deck and the outside shower are all set between the two homes on the property. The pool deck and the selection of outdoor furniture and umbrellas allows each casa its privacy.
The rental house can accommodate 4 to 5 adults (1 Queen bed) in master bedroom and (2 twin beds) in the second bedroom ,also, an inflatable double size mattress is available for the upper floor. All bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans, air conditioners and a wall mounted hairdryer in the bathroom.
The second level of the casa welcomes you to watch TV as well as relaxing with the constant breeze through the screened and cantilevered windows. The kitchen is fully equipped for gourmet cooking. A gas BBQ is available on the rear deck of the 1 bedroom casa for your outdoor cooking desires. A motion activated alarm system has been installed. Our caretaker lives on site and speaks Spanish and English fluently. He will arrange for the service of a housekeeper to clean the casa once weekly.
We are located about 1 km from the fast growing village of Uvita that is booming with 3 mercados (grocery stores), banks, shops, dentist and the Uvita Information Center. Uvita and the area from Dominical to Ojochal have a great many new restaurants. Many tours are available within 15 miles: Whale watching (Jan-April),Kayaking in the mangroves, Sport fishing year round, Scuba diving and Snorkeling trips to Cano Island, Horseback riding in Nauyaca Falls, Zip lines in Baru etc. We are 2.5 km from Playa Hermosa which is the 6 km beach which forms the Northern side of the Tail of the Whale from which the area is well known.
