Why the Owner Chose Pelican Isle
We loved the FL Gulf Coast for its beautiful beaches. We chose Okaloosa Island because it was a little more remote with a height limitation on the buildings (only 7 stories allowed). With the height limitation it gave us more beach, less crowds, and all of the conveniences of being close to Destin,FL and the surrounding area. Pelican Isle was a brand new building when we bought. It was the most beautiful on the island and we still enjoy it.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We enjoy the tranquility that Okaloosa Island has to offer. The beaches are less crowded. You are close to Pensacola, Destin and Ft Walton Beach, FL. There are water parks nearby and additional fun for kids and adults. You can walk on the sidewalks on Okaloosa Island or the beach. One of our favorite traditions is to walk on the beach in the evening allowing our children to play.

My wife grew up in the Southeast and enjoyed coming to the FL Panhandle as a child. We really enjoy bringing our family to the area. There are so many things to do and it is very relaxing to come to our own little piece of the beach. We enjoy sitting on the balcony, listening to the waves and watching for dolphins. The beaches here are beautiful.

This condo is great. The pictures do not do it justice. It is much prettier in person & is equipped with everything you need. The bedroom has plenty of space even with the king bed. The bunk beds also have more space then most. This is a perfect place to stay with children . Our girls especially enjoyed the ice cream truck that comes by daily. The owners go out of ther way to make sure your vacation is great.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

This condo at Pelican Isle is great. Very clean, very warm colors...ocean view is gorgeous and just a warm and cozy place to stay. I would stay here again and recommend to my friends.

My family stayed here four days the week of April 4th, 2011 and had a great time. The condo was very clean with everything you need. It is very convenient being on the 4th floor compared to some others we have stayed at with 20+ floors. Never had to wait for the elevator. Easy to find luggage carts to move in and out. Beautiful view of the gulf and overlooking the pool. This is a great area of Okaloosa/Destin since it is not as crowded as Destin but close enough to go to dinner and visit attractions (5 minute drive) We enjoyed this condo very much and the owner, Lisa, was great to work with. Thanks.

My family and I just returned from FWB and stayed at this lovely condo and it was probably our best vacation yet! The weather was great and the beach was awesome! The water was crystal clear and almost Caribbean like! Lisa, the owner, was fabulous to work with. Easy to get in touch with and very sweet. We checked in at Resort Quest which is not far from the condo at all, so if you are sometimes skeptical of using a by-owner for your rental (as I sometimes can be), don't be. The condo was nicely decorated and had everything in it you could need. The master bed was huge and there was still enough room for a pack n play to go in there. Having 2 bathrooms was so nice as well. The view from the balcony was spectacular! Like I said, probably my BEST vacation ever! We will definitely try to stay here again! Thanks Lisa!!!

The beaches and water were beautiful! There were no signs of oil. The property was as pictured and described in the rental ad. We enjoyed eating at the Boathouse in Destin and at Helen Back in Ft. Walton. We also had a great time on the Sea Blaster at AJ's. The owners are nice and easy to work with and delivered great customer service. I have referred several friends, and we will go back again and again.

Our stay at Pelican Isle was wonderful to say the least. The bathrooms were ample and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, and the view was magnificent! The bedroom was perfect, and we slept peacefully on the matress. We would love to stay there again, and we plan on doing just that. The pin pad for entry was great because you did not have to worry about keeping up with a key-card or keys while swimming etc. A small convenience store is a short walk away should you need ice, beer, or just a snack. The beach service personnel were friendly, and having an umbrella and chairs waiting for you on the beach is awesome. No more lugging everything back and forth everyday. Just grab your cooler and towel and hit the beach! We loved it, and we will do it again.

We loved staying at this beautiful, bright, happy condo! My husband and I and our 3 and 6 year old boys stayed for 5 days in June 2009. It was a wonderful experience. The condo itself is beautiful, the beach was great, and the pool was a nice change of pace. We were there for the Pirate Festival which my boys absolutely loved! Lots of great restaurants, very kid-friendly. It was a great trip!

We had a lovely visit to Fort Walton Beach and loved our accommodations. They were neat, clean, and beautifully decorated. The view from the 4th floor was so refreshing and uplifting. The location was in close proximity to fine restaurants and less expensive ones as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning in the future!
