Welcome to the lake!
Available for your vacation is our 2-Bedroom, 2-Bath Cabin that sleeps 6, no smoking, no pets. The deck on the West side of our cabin is great for watching the beautiful sunsets.
To the North is an outstanding view where you can see the lake and Shangri-La, which is located on Monkey Island. We also have a screened-in porch on the north side. Occasionally we see deer, foxes and other wildlife in the area.
The 1500 sq. ft. cabin has 1 King bed in the downstairs bedroom, 1 Queen bed in the upstairs bedroom and 1 Queen sleeper sofa in the living room. The upstairs bathroom has a tub (with shower head), and the downstairs bath has a skinny shower.
In the living room is a television that is connected to DIRECTV® and a DVD player. The television in the downstairs bedroom is usable with the DVD/VCR player, but is not connected to a satellite dish. There is also a small wood-burning fireplace in the living room.
Bed, bath and kitchen linens are provided, but you will need to bring your own beach towels.
Parking is available for cars and boat trailers, but RVs, campers, tents, semis, and busses are not allowed.
You will have use of the private dock with a slide for fishing, swimming, sunning, or tying up your boat. The lift is configured for a pontoon boat, but even if you can’t use the lift, you can lower it and park your boat in the slip.
The cabin has been well taken care of, but it has not been updated recently. At some point we will add on to it, then sell it (yes, we have an agent), but for the next year or so, we plan to rent it out to vacationers. The land around it is being divided into lots. We are in the process of getting the last mile of road to the property blacktopped, but until that happens, it will be a dirt and gravel road for the last mile.
It takes about 20 minutes to get to the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Grove (about 12 miles), and there are restaurants and fast food places in Grove. Parasailing and boat rental are offered by businesses on the lake. Golf courses are about 30 minutes away.
MapQuest doesn't quite know how to find it, but if you use the address 35299 S 586 Rd Jay OK 74346 (not the real address), it comes close. Just go north to the end of the road.

Me and my family just got back from here, I am sad to say. The house seemed to be very clean and was fully stocked with pots, pans, etc. Beautiful, beautiful view and COMPLETE privacy, which is exactly what me and my family wanted. Great swimming off the boat dock and to me, the house was nicer than what the pictures show, although we did not use the downstairs shower, the one upstairs was much nicer. We have already said it's a possibility renting this place again next year. The owner popping up on the back deck gave me a scare LOL, but I can't blame him for wanting to see what kind of renters we were. The fishing wasn't great, although it may be from our lack of experience :) although we did catch a big mouth bass.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

The property was perfect for 4 Guys for a brief getaway. The decor is a little dated but that didn't bother us. Everything worked great. House is clean and has central air. Boat dock worked fine for my 18 foot ski boat. Lots of access to resturants on the water since it is close to Shangri La. We had a very good experinece.
