  From Sydney, my husband and I, met our California daughter, son and their partners and two kids and had New Years week at this lovely home. We had great weather, plenty of private and shared space in the house, easy access to the snorkeling and surfing, a short hop to the 'shops' and groceries, and perfect weather. The house was so well equipped, computer, big, flat screen TV, all the things you need to cook, relax, sleep, swim, snack, etc. etc. The listing description was very accurate, reflecting the access, appearance and amenities and we would definitely recommend this property to others.

  Fantastic!! Pictures here do NOT do the house justice! It's beautiful and fun. And actually the furniture and decoration has been updated since pictures. The view from the loft is incredible. We stayed here in 2008 and loved it so much we will be honeymooning there in 2012! One week for us, one week with the wedding party. The walk to the beach is less than 1 minute and goes for a ways in both directions. Easy to cross to the beach. The snorkeling was some of the best on the island. Turtles galore!! Beautiful beach at night. Fun to sneak onto and listen to the waves! You can't even pay a hotel enough for a place on this area of Kona! Breathtaking! We wont stay anywhere else!!

  The pictures here do NOT do this "home" justice. Every room is huge. Never ran out of hot water. All appliances worked. Bed VERY comfortable. Every couch comfortable...newer than in picture. Recliner perfect for a sore back and to put your feet up. More towels than the White House! Very clean. You will need all foods. And plastic baggies of all sizes if you use them alot. There are some spices there and some sugar. Paper towels and plenty of bath tissues. You may want to bring kleenix. There is an Ice maker - but no garbage disposal...typical for Hawaii. Lots of shampoo, conditioner, soaps or ALL kinds. Pool is only 4.5 feet deep - so jumping for under 8 OK - no diving - and as my granddaughter said when looking at the No Lifeguard on duty graphic......."No Speedos" - she's 6. We all enjoyed the pool for that cool off and fresh water after being in the ocean. There is also an outdoor shower - heaven. Debbie and James were the best! We will come back again and again - don't want to stay anywhere else now!

  Everything the description said it would be and more! Fantastic location with great snorkelling at the end of the driveway. 3 Double bedrooms are very comfortable, but remaining beds are really only for kids as they are all in two rooms up in the loft. House, pool etc were all very clean when we arrived. Lots of room to lounge around and watch TV when the pressure of beach life gets too much! Games room is a great feature and perfect for keeping the kids (and adults) happy for a few hours. Caretakers live downstairs and are a wealth of information and super friendly; make sure to pick their brains for insider info on local activities. Renovation is obviously a few years old, but the house has a ton of character and is clean and tidy and everything works, just don't expect everything to be brand new. Location is very central on the Kona coast with most of the sights being within a half hour drive. Furthest points on the Island are 2~3hrs away. Nearest stores are a 15 minute walk or 2 min drive, and there are all the services you will likely need there.
