Dramatic ocean view...perched on the top of a cliff over looking the jungle and ocean, our ocean view "literally" takes people's breath away.
Stunning and unique architecture...perhaps the most beautiful house you've ever been in! Hale Paliku was built by an anthropologist/artist from artifacts collected in over 100 countries and a 40ft container of art from Indonesia! The curved roofline spans 40 ft. Three stained glass windows, two etched glass, six intricately carved doors, etc. The list goes on.
Excerpts from guest comments:
"There may be some gouges in the door jams where my fingernails were dug in as
as my wife tried to pull me away to the airport. Seriously amazing house.
amazing woodwork and details."
Kieth (architect)
"Thank you for putting so much work into the details of HPK. Every day
we discovered some new piece of hidden art. It is the most beautiful
house we've ever been in."
L and K
"Your home is so beautiful. What a blessing to rest peacefully here. Me ke
aloha puehana."
Paula (famous Hawaiian singer)
My name is Ryan, and I welcome you into the home my friends and I built from artifacts and ideas we collected from around the world. Here, you will discover a different way of living... the way we call "local." In Hawaii, we remove our shoes at the front door. We care for, or "malama" the natural world which sustains us, we respect local culture, and spread Aloha to all.
Hale Pali Ku is snugly perched on the pinnacle of a lush mountain, offering breathtaking ocean and tropical views in every direction. Eating on the Asian dining platform, you overlook a verdant canopy of tropical trees, punctuated by the stunning orange blossoms of African tulip trees. Our skyline consists of Cook and Norfolk Island Pine silhouettes bordering the sapphire Pacific, which seamlessly melts into the endless horizon. Hale Pali Ku is a Polynesian-inspired vacation villa that was built with rich woods, bamboo and tender care. Thoughtfully decorated in a palette of warm, comforting colors and sensuous furnishings, you'll slumber in peaceful Zen surroundings and wake to a symphony of exotic birdsong.
Calming Zen Lines - Stunning View - Dramatic Architecture
The Kuiaha Suite:
This 1,600 sq. ft. second level suite offers a lofted bedroom and a master bedroom that has a built in bed nook with a stained glass window. Seamless boundaries are created throughout, as the carved teak wall slides open between the master bedroom and living room. Similarly, custom accordion glass doors slide open to create a 16 ft. opening between the living room and 600 sq. ft. lanai. Once on the lanai, lounge on the custom Balinese dining platform and gaze over the hot tub and tropical scenery to see ships pass in the distance and whales jump! Three stained glass windows, seven carved Balinese doors, a carved marble outdoor shower, Moroccan lighting, hardwood thought, all windows custom milled with mitered glass corners, copper sink, and art built into each nook and cranny.
The Humuhumunukunukuapua'a Suite:
This suite has two rooms, each with ocean views from your bed. Both rooms feature walk in closets. A tropical "indoor/outdoor" feeling is created with three six foot French doors that open in each room to make it feel as if you are living in the garden. The suite has amazing attention to artistic detail, with Balinese carvings, tile mosaics, and art built into each nook. With tropical indoor/outdoor living, all rooms have large double doors which open onto a 1,000 sq. ft. covered lanai, and manicured lawn beyond that. The unit has a tropical outdoor rain head shower and features a kitchenette with barbecue.
Spa Bungalow Terrace:
Enjoy the dramatic ocean view from our "Spa Bungalow Terrace", situated below the main house. Here you'll find a hot tub, small pond, and a little man made beach with a fire pit. During the night, enjoy campfires under Maui's starry sky, to the sounds of acoustic guitar. In the bungalow, we offer a variety of massage treatments for your relaxation pleasure.
Botanical Garden:
Our botanical garden has over 100 fruit trees and many rare native Hawaiian plants. Examples of a few of our exotic tropical fruit trees are Jaboticaba, Bread Fruit (staple Polynesian food), Cacao (chocolate), Mountain Apple, Noni (cancer fighting), Mangosteen (high in antioxidents), Cinnamon, etc. We feature one native lobelia so rare, it is now extinct in the wild. Hale Pali Ku also has a vegetable garden you may harvest from when making delectable meals on your Maui Vacation.
The Neighborhood:
Tucked away in a tropical paradise, yet walking distance to an outdoor cafe and shops, Hale Pali Ku is truly unique. We are perched above a tropical ravine that meets the ocean a half mile away in a secret bay for picnics, we are five minutes drive to the ocean, and eight minutes to the famous "Ho'okipa" beach and the beach town of Paia.
