Vila Vino is a little piece of Heaven on Earth. The Vila was equiped with every ammenity we would need to make our stay perfect! It was truly home away from home. The views from the balcony were breathtaking, and we would sit and just relax in the morning with our coffee and again at sunset with our favorite local wine, just soaking in the incredible view. This was one of the most relaxing places I have ever stayed. There is a little market directly behind the Vila that has the basics, and the main part of the village is a 10min walk away. The Adriatic is crystal clear and stunning! There are cute restaurants to eat in and the locals are very friendly. A car might be helpful but was not necessary. We were happy just spending time at the villa and walking to the village.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We are a family of 4 from Utah, USA. We spend 10 days in Sveta Nedelja in July 2011. Scenery is breathtaking. Apartment was very nice with all the amenities you need. We would take trips every day to different part of Hvar island and loved it. We all would go back tomorrow if possible.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

Great place to relax. Best view ever. Cece was without a doubt the most hospitable person we have ever rented from. The information she gave us was invaluable and the apartment was clean and homey. You do need a car as this place is off the beaten path. Which is exactly what we wanted. You never have to leave the deck as the view is to kill for. I would come here again just for the star gazing. Buy all your goods before you arrive and you never have to leave again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.

What a paradise! We had a lovely visit. The most peaceful and beautiful of the places I have visited-more spectacular than Greece! The rocky shore and the vistas are unparelled. The apartment is very comfortable and located close to everything in the village. We love Tamaris, of course. The wine isn't bad either!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: As a retired airline employee I have had the privilege to travel the world and experience many different countries, peoples, cultures and sites. My first encounter with Croatia and the Croatian people came shortly after their war of independence and I fell in love with their new country and their nearly timeless culture. With the opportunity to purchase a beautiful home on a beautiful island in a villahe surrounded by vineyards and olive groves and looking out to Adriatic Sea, how could I resist? My permanent home is in Atlanta and my subdivision there has more than twice the population of my Croatian village.
Why the Owner Chose Sveta Nedjelja:
Croatians are a warm, welcoming people and a delight to know. Hvar is endlessly beautiful and filled with history and largely unspoiled by tourism. The local foods and wines are among the best in the world and by most standards, very affordable. What's not to love!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
The view from the balcony is reason enough to become a life long resident. The blend of old Europe with the exuberance of a rapidly developing east European nation is exciting. Mix that with an inviting culture, natural beauty rivaling any place in the world, wonderful wines and olive oils, diving, boating, world class sailing, adventure sports, vibrant night life, and I find it difficult to imagine a more ideal home away from home.
