We had the best time at Cynthia's beautiful home over New Years weekend. The house itself was super relaxing and cute and the area is also great. Very close to great skiing and dining! Cynthia was also a pleasure to deal with - very thoughtful, accommodating and friendly. Highly recommended for a weekend getaway away from the city!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Stayed at Cynthia's home with my family and we had a wonderful time. We are a family with small kids and older adults from NYC and the place was perfect. There were plenty of things to do without even having to go outside of the property. We were able to bring and use our video game consoles. We got to enjoy the game room with foosball and air hockey tables. We were able to cook up and eat meals with complete kitchen and dining wares. The supermarket was nearby to buy food and ingredients. We got to play in the big back yard and go sliding down the snow. The lake was iced over and looked very pretty. The hot tub was great. It was perfect being in its warmth while it was cold all around. It was nice to be able to cozy up to the warm fireplace and they had a glass cover so you didn't have to worry about burning anything. We were able to go to the casino, which was nearby, and come right back. We got to go snowboarding at Camelback and come right back. We had such a relaxing and fun time. We are already thinking about coming back for the summer!Owner response: Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It is very rewarding for me to receive this kind of response to my home because I try very hard to anticipate all my guests needs. I have been a renter myself and haven't always had positive experiences so I have taken that knowledge and tried to apply it to my home and my interaction with my guests. Thanks again and please do come back and visit us again. Cynthia

I stayed at this house over New Years weekend this year. There were 4 couples in the group and this couldn't have been a more perfect house. The pictures don't do justice to the house. Each of the three bedrooms has its own bathroom and there is a finished basement with another full bathroom. The house is very cozy and nicely decorated. There is a huge back deck that over looks the beautiful backyard and lake and we saw lots of deer. Cynthia also left a veggie platter and champagne. She was very easy to communicate with and was great to rent from. We will definitely try to stay here again!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I have been a renter myself and haven't always had positive experiences. so when I decided to rent out my home I tried to take that knowledge and use it to my guests advantage. I do try to anticipate all their needs by providing directions not just to my home but to area activities, stores, hospitals etc. If they have any specific needs I try to address them whenever possible I want my guests to create wonderful memories when they spend time in my home and I want them to come back. I also upgrade different things in my home every year so it is constantly changing for the better. Thank you again for your wonderful review and please, come back and spend time with us again.

My family and I have vacationed at this home every summer for the past three years and looking forward to going again next summer! There are many wonderful things this home has to offer such as a wonderful common area guaranteed to produce many great family memories by day and romantic memories by night. Our favorite activities are picking wild blueberries and flying kites in the backyard, canoeing down to the beach area, reading books on the large deck, gazing at the local wildlife or watching the kids play on the playground and/or in the lake. The house is situated in a private community providing both seclusion and safety while still comfortably close to many restaurants, stores and attractions. I would strongly recommend staying at this home for anyone or any family. It has something to offer to all! Enjoy your stay! We did!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Spent a week at this lovely home in the Poconos. The house was very clean, very well stocked, centrally located to multiple activities ( we visited CamelBeach Waterpark and Lake Harmony for tubing). The views of the lake are great from the deck and sitting in the hot tub. Kids had wonderful success fishing from the dock (last count was around 50 sunnies and perch) and the adults caught several nice bass. Make sure adults get a fishing license as the game warden does check as I found out - I did have a license! The owner answered multiple questions for us including a list of July 4 area fireworks displays. We spent several days at the beach area (short 5 minute walk), my 15 year old made friends with several kids of a similar age at the basketball court. All in all this is a wonderful vacation home and an excellent value. We hope to return.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

My husband and I, along with three other couples stayed at Cynthia's home this past weekend. The house was great! It was very spacious and the fact that everyone had their own space and bathroom was perfect. The finished basement with murphy bed and full bathroom served as a fourth bedroom/ gameroom. We enjoyed making burgers on the grill and saw a large group of deer in the backyard while having dinner!! The house is very close to big boulder so it was a short ride to the slopes. We also loved the hot tub! We will definitely be returning! Thanks Cynthia!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks Jess, With all the new amenities I have recently added to my home I hope it will entice you and others to come back again.

My family and I stayed at the lakehouse over the holiday weekend and what a great experience! The house is in a great location, so close to the ski resorts and other amenities. Perfect for families. They have a nice basement with an air hockey and foosball table, which our 6 yr old loved. The house has a gorgeous view of the lake. Very spacious and clean. Loved the hot tub (especially in 23 degree weather). The owner was such a pleasure to work with. We've rented many homes from VRBO and have experienced difficult owners in the past. Cynthia was the best owner I've ever had to work with. We are looking into some dates to go back in February. Will definitely be renting this house again!Did you find this review helpful? This house was great for a nice weekend getaway! The house is set on a great lot on the lake which is beautiful. The rooms are spacious and the house is well kept (I don't think the pictures do it justice!). Cynthia was delightful to work with and gave great suggestions for restaurants and activities. Camelback ski resort was a quick drive away and made for a fun weekend. Overall, I would definitely recommend this house!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
