My family(,myself, my 2 teenage girls, my brother and his to pre-teen girls) rented Cypress Point Lodge over the past Christmas holiday. Our mother,(age 100) who lives in Greenwood, S.C. is the reason we've been doing this for the past 8 years. This is the first time we've stayed here and it is, by far, the best place we've found on Lake Greenwood. The view of the lake is breathtaking, the layout great, the fit and finish of the lodge is charming and functional but it is the coziness and confort that impressed us the most. I would recommend this lodge to anyone wanting a fine family getaway.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

My family and I, total of 14, stayed here for a week this September and the place was fantastic. It was plenty big enough for all of us to enjoy our stay. The view every morning was beautiful. The home was stocked with all the amenities that we needed which made for a very comfortable stay. I would definitley recommend this home to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation on the lake.

We stayed in this wonderful home on Lake Greenwood with friends in late June and had a fabulous time. The location was quiet, lake views are beautiful and the house accommodated 2 families perfectly. Greg was a gracious host from afar and available for any questions. The kids are already asking when are we going back to the lake house.

Our family spent the 4th of July weekend at this home. It was spacious and exactly what we were looking for in a getaway and enjoying our family. We would return if we were going to choose a place on Lake Greenwood again. The accomadations were wonderful the decks, screen porch and TV room worked wonderful for us.

We used the house to visit our son who goes to school in Greenwood. We found the house perfect in a peaceful and quiet location. We saw excellent sunsets from the decks and found the house spacious and extremely comfortable. Owners were extremely friendly and accomadating and as a result we have no hesitation in recommending the house to other fellow travellers.

We had a wonderful weekend getaway in the spring at Cypress Point Lodge. My friends and I arranged a college reunion at the Lodge and found it to be just what we hoped it would be - large, open floor plan, private, well-appointed, and perfect for visiting with everyone. The owner (Thanks Greg!) was very helpful in pointing us to a local BBQ caterer for a small gathering of friends on Saturday evening. The Lodge has two huge decks providing beautiful views of Lake Greenwood, a well equipped kitchen, and several well-appointed bedrooms. There's a boat dock too should you want to bring your boat. This is a great base for visiting the SC up-country. We'll definitely be back!
