- This is one of the best fishing areas! The Bay is known for its' scallops! (by the way, Scallop season runs from July 1 to Sept 10th). Camping at St. Joseph State Park (rated #1 beach in the USA in 2002). Beach walking on white sand (cooler on the feet). Impeccable star gazing with no ambient light.
