- You won't find a cleaner, cozy and tastefully decorated cottage on the Outer Banks! Short walk to Ocean with lifeguarded beach access in season. Free parking too! We have beach chairs, surfboard, bicycles for all ages, cornhole boards, darts, ping pong and basketball. We have 2 picnic tables outside to accommodate 6 people plus some and chairs as well. Beautiful sunsets can be seen from the Gazebo on the Sound just down the block from the cottage. Hayman Park nearby has picnic tables, swings and slides and a grassy area for playing ball.

- The very popular Cornhole Board Game is now at the cottage and available for our guests to play! 2 streets over there is a small pier with Gazebo that is great for crabbing in the Sound. Also Public Boat Ramp. Within walking distance of Avalon Fishing Pier and a public beach access with free parking and outside shower. There are 6 bicycles available for your use - 2 men's and 2 women's along with 2 children's.

Sound Harbor suited our needs for our vacation to the Outer Banks. Cindy was very prompt in answering our emails after Irene left. The house is very centrally located for day trips and not far from the beach when using your vehicle. Each of us found a spot in the house that we were able to make our own little getaway. I would recommend this listing to anyone looking for a place to stay while in the Outer Banks.

Our family loved staying at Sound Harbor! Every night we took the bikes and rode down to the sound and drove along the bike trails. Shopping, grocery, and anything else you could think of was all near by, which was fabulous! We would definitely come back in the future, and recommend it to friends and family!

We were lucky enough to stay at Sound Harbor for an amazing vacation in OBX. It was more then you could ever ask for. Everything was very clean, neat and really felt like home. The gift basket that awaited us was a great surprise to our 3 boys when we arrived after a long car ride! Our boys loved getting on the bikes and riding around the neighborhood, especially the park around the corner. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything and everything you would need for the time you stay. We look forward to using this fabulous home again in the future. Cindy/Mark you've done a wonderful job and have a lovely home!

Easy/breezy to rent. The thing that impressed me the most is how absolutely clean everything is!!! Well maintained house with all the normal things that you would want! Quick hot water and good water pressure. The neighborhood felt very secure with many locals around. Would definitely recommend and will rent here again. This is a great rental price for a place near the beach!!! Much praise to the owner.

We had a great time at Sound Harbor. Each room was beautifully decorated. Every detail made the house more welcoming. The game room was a perfect getaway for our three teenagers. They also loved the basketball hoop and ping pong table. This was one of the nicest homes we have rented.

My family just returned from a week stay at this property. It is beautifully and functionally furnished. Lots of activities for all ages. Plenty of room to spread out upstairs as well as in the gameroom downstairs. I will recommend this property to my friends and family. One friend is allready considering changing his vacation plans to go here. Thanks Mark and Cindy for such an ideal home.
