My wife and I stayed at this property for one week and we thought it was perfect - very close to all major attractions, well kept, near the subway, and overall convenient. The view was nice and the wifi was fast. Larger than any hotel room with cable tv, full kitchen and comfy bed. Would recommend to anyone traveling to Paris.

My wife and I recently visited Paris and stayed at this wonderful apartment for 10 days. The overall experience was nothing short of fantastic. When we travel, we always stay at upscale hotels. But for this trip of a lifetime, we decided that the advantage of the extra space of an apartment was worth the risk of this "new approach". Suffice to say, our 10 day experience in this apartment was wonderful in every regard. Having carefully read all of the previous reviews and having just gotten back home, here are our impressions:* The owner, Mr. Victor was a congenial, flexible and an endearing host. It is very obvious that Victor wants his guests to enjoy Paris as much as they do.* The apartment was modern, very spacious and well appointed. The furniture was very comfortable and there is plenty of cupboard space to hang up your clothes.*The layout of the apartment took advantage of the River views with floor to ceiling windows in all major rooms. Imagine spending your early morning and late evening hours sitting by the window and enjoying the 11th floor views of the Seine, the City Skyline, the Eiffel Tower and so much more.* We are neat freaks and for us, the apartment was spotless when we got there and very easy to keep clean. We took advantage of the kitchen and laundry room to prepare many meals and to do our laundry.* The split bathroom was great and we especially appreciated the abundance of hot water whenever it was needed.* The 24 hour security was reassuring (although the neighborhood seemed very safe) and the security staff and other residents were very friendly.* The Monoprix Supermarket is within 100 yards and is a both a terrific French experience as well as first rate puryeyor of groceries and fresh fruit, produce meat and baking of every kind.* The Novotel Hotel is next door and as a result you have access to a taxistand, a concierge, restaurant, bar etc.* Every day for ten days we took the 30 minute return walk to the Eiffel Tower where we either took a tour bus, a boat, the metro or a train. The proximity of the apt. to all of these things was another obvious advantage.* The boat cruise - dinner cruise dock is just down the street. Within an easy walk, there are beautiful neighborhoods, parks, cafes, restaurants and all kinds of shops. After 10 days in Paris, you might have thought we would be yearning for the old USA. We were just the opposite. We were thoroughly settled into the apt. and the city. We loved our Paris apt.! Respond

My sister, sister-in-law and nieces spent a wonderful week in Victor's lovely apartment. Although we spent most of our time exploring the city, we appreciated having a secure, cozy apartment to return to. We usually got home in time to watch the last twinkling of the Eiffel Tower and loved every minute of it. Having internet access (wifi) was helpful as well the phone. The Monoprix next door was very convenient. Great views, great location, easy access to RER and Metro and convenient taxi stand next door. We especially enjoyed the near-by Rue Cler area and the Constant's restaurants. A great time was had by all and we can't wait to return to the city of lights!

I spent 6 nights in this apartment with my 25 yr. old granddaughter and her girlfriend. I gave them the bedroom and I took the pull-out bed. The living room is so huge I just left the pulled out all day! I loved sitting on the bed, looking out the huge windows at the Seine River and the city of Paris. It was magical watching the lights of Paris come on. One can see across town the dome of the Sacre Coeur lit up, looking down on the city of Paris. And when I awakened in the morning the sun light was just warming up the city with it's soft lighting. I'd walk to get some coffee and delicious croissant. I would return, in a heart beat, to Paris and rent the same apartment. Victor was very helpful. Au revoir!

We are very grateful that when our other plan for an apartment fell through Victor, a most charming landlord, came to our rescue and we were able on short notice to have his beautiful flat on the Seine in the 15th arrondisement. The flat has one bedroom plus a living room with an adequate pullout sofa. We came with an infant and his mother and the setup was very good for us. The living room has its own door so there was privacy, and my wife and I stayed there while our daughter-in-law stayed in the bedroom with our infant grandson. The crib provided was a godsend. The kitchen is excellent and we were grateful for a washer since an infant produces so much laundry. We would have preferred having a dryer as well, but we were able to do well putting clothes on the drying rack to dry. The bathroom is well equipped although the towels seemed thin and scratchy. As others have said, the view from the eleventh floor is magnificent, including the Seine and much of the Eiffel Tower. The safety is very good also, since it is a well-tended building with a concierge, security cameras, and a fortress-like lock on the flat's front door. One of the concierges did give us some trouble because he did not have our names on his list of guests, but this turned out to be a relatively minor inconvenience. There are two Métro within a few blocks, as well as the RER train, which goes along the Seine and is a good way to get to such places as the Musée d'Orsay. My one reservation is that the modernistic high rise building, being in a group of other highrises, did not feel like a traditional Parisian abode, nor does the neighborhood have the ambiance I might wish for on a trip to Paris. It is certainly not touristy but the restaurants mostly had very similar menus and were not in any way outstanding. This did not matter so much to us because, having an infant, we had limitations on our ability to go out anyway, but if we were not with him I would have been disappointed in the neighborhood.

Owner response: The apartment building is located in a non- touristy, Parisian residential neighborhood in the Eiffel Tower district with many good restaurants such as L’Epopee, La Cantine de Troquet, Le Casse Noix, etc. At an exhibit at Centre Pompidou portraying the styles of Parisian Architecture through the centuries, the building was cited as an excellent example of modern French architecture.

We just spent two weeks in this apartment during our recent stay in Paris. First the good parts. The apartment is in a great location for touring Paris. The metro and the RER are easily accessible and allow excellent access to wherever you want to go. The metroprix being right out back is very convenient. The apartment itself is bright with good cross ventilation which keeps it nice and cool. The problem with the apartment was pointed out exactly by a previous review: it is dingy. The place needs cleaned from top to bottom and the walls need repainted. They are smudged and showing signs of plenty of use and the floorboards are quite dirty. Several floor outlets were hanging out of the wall which looks very bad. The linen are old and not high quality. These things should be easily fixable with a little bit of work but until that is done we would not stay here again.

Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Owner response: I’m sorry that the guest wasn’t satisfied. Since this was his first visit to Paris, I went out of my way to recommend sights and restaurants to him. The apartment is cleaned between visits, but perhaps it was not up to his expectations. I was not aware of any smudges on some walls and will investigate and rectify accordingly. The linens are of good quality, and three sets of sheets are new. If there is a need for additional new linens, I will provide them. As to the comment about the “hanging wall outlets”, in France, outlets may protrude from the wall. It’s interesting to note that the rating of “2” does not take into account the apartment’s panoramic views of Paris from every window, its spaciousness, and the building which is known as one of the best examples of 20th century architecture in Paris.

My wife and I enjoyed a relaxing and pleasurable nine days at Victor's apartment. The location is perfect-along the Seine, 1/2 a mile from the Eiffel tower and close to multiple forms of public transportation. We enjoyed the gorgeous views of Paris from the apartment, so unusual for the city, and especially the evening Eiffel tower light shows. We found the apartment to be comfortable and spacious. Victor was a gracious host who is extremely knowledgeable about the city and suggested some true restaurant gems that we would never have discovered on our own. We can't wait to return!

For two weeks in September, we had a wonderful stay in this airy flat overlooking the Seine. It was a tranquil refuge after a day of exploring the city. It is well situated a short walk to two metro lines and the RER. There are two markets - boul. Grenelle (Wed. & Sun.) and rue St. Charles (Tues. & Fri.) and many shops close by in which you can experience a real Paris neighbourhood. And the Monoprix across the plaza is very convenient. Victor is most helpful with any questions you may have and in recommending his favourite restaurants. We would not hesitate to recommend this flat.

                      Owner info

                      Year Purchased: 2000

About the owner: I am an Architect/Engineer who enjoys meeting and helping people. I grew up in Paris but have spent most of my adult life in the U.S. I enjoy good food and wine and constantly seek out new and interesting Parisian restaurants.

Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 7:
I fell in love with my apartment as soon as I saw it because of the panoramic views of Paris from every window, and its site on the Seine riverbank. Its location by the Eiffel Tower in central Paris is ideal. I had looked for months for a place like this. As an Architect/Engineer, I was impressed with the exterior and interior design of the building. The apartment is spacious as well as functional.

The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
I enjoy the ease in which I can go anywhere in Paris from my apartment;two subway stations(Bir Hakim & ST Charles) and 4 bus lines(70,42,62,72)are nearby. Also, there is a taxi stand by the building. The location of my apartment in a typically Parisian neighborhood is another attraction. It's a four minute walk to a major supermarket, Monoprix, and several bakeries, restaurants, and cafes are close by. Walking or jugging along the riverbank is always a pleasure as is visiting the farmer's market, Tuesday and Fridays mornings, on the nearby Rue St Charles.
