My wife and I enjoyed a relaxing and pleasurable nine days at Victor's apartment. The location is perfect-along the Seine, 1/2 a mile from the Eiffel tower and close to multiple forms of public transportation. We enjoyed the gorgeous views of Paris from the apartment, so unusual for the city, and especially the evening Eiffel tower light shows. We found the apartment to be comfortable and spacious. Victor was a gracious host who is extremely knowledgeable about the city and suggested some true restaurant gems that we would never have discovered on our own. We can't wait to return!

Myself and two grown daughters had a great week in Paris, the apartment was great, good view and convenient to stores, transportation, and such, once we figured it out! When we first arrived, we were concerned because it's an area of high rise buildings, but soon found a nice shopping district a short walk away (behind apartment, away from the river). Very convenient to Eiffel Tower, from which you can easily get to other tourist areas (red bus, subway), and even closer to an RER C train stop, which takes you directly to Versailles. Novatel Hotel next door was a big help in printing out tickets purchased on line (it would be nice if the apartment had a printer, as it's so easy to get tickets on line to Versaille, Moulin Rouge, etc. and saves waiting in ticket lines), and taxis were always waiting there if needed.... Victor was EXTREMELY helpful to us, a great person to work with...........would do it again....

For two weeks in September, we had a wonderful stay in this airy flat overlooking the Seine. It was a tranquil refuge after a day of exploring the city. It is well situated a short walk to two metro lines and the RER. There are two markets - boul. Grenelle (Wed. & Sun.) and rue St. Charles (Tues. & Fri.) and many shops close by in which you can experience a real Paris neighbourhood. And the Monoprix across the plaza is very convenient. Victor is most helpful with any questions you may have and in recommending his favourite restaurants. We would not hesitate to recommend this flat.

Our family of 4 stayed here for a week and had a fantastic time. Parents slept in the large bed and kids slept well on the pull out couch in the living room. It's true about the good views of the Eiffel tower. It’s about a half a mile away, and you can watch it sparkle as you go to sleep. The building is right on the Seine, next to the Îsle aux Cygnes, a skinny island in the Seine. Great place to meet friends or have a picnic. The Monoprix grocery store is right across the courtyard, so you can stock up on supplies quite conveniently. A few blocks away is a typical French neighborhood where you can eat at a cafe, catch a bus, or catch the metro at the Charles Michels stop. (You can grab a coffee or something for the kids from the McDonald's on the way.) Bir-Hakeim stop is also a short walk away. We really liked crossing the river to catch the Hotel DeVille bus. This is a great bus that runs right along the river and can quickly get you to the museums. Kitchen has all he necessities, also a clothes washer. The listing doesn't mention it but there is WiFi access for all your Pods and Pads. Communication from the owner, which is so important when you are using VRBO, was outstanding from beginning to end. Thanks for a great stay!

We spent a week in this very comfortable and spacious apartment. Victor was helpful with any and all the questions we had prior to our arrival and we most certainly were pleased with the apartment. He also called after we were there to make sure everything was going smoothly. The view was amazing, especially so for the fireworks on Bastille Day. We loved coming back to the apartment after a long day. A glass of wine, relax and having the luxury of deciding whether we would eat in or dine out. Getting around was very easy due to easy access to the Metro. A short walk to restaurants, bakeries, a Monoprix and if one needed a cab; right next door at the Novotel Hotel. Had a wonderful meal at the Bistro Champetre, 107, rue Saint Charles; maybe a 10 minute walk. We would definitely stay here again.

We can echo the comments made by others that the apt is comfortable and well located. In addition, we can point out the owner is very helpful and involved. He provided an up to date list of excellent restaurants of many different types (neighborhood family hangout to recently "discovered by the NY Times" gourmet restaurant). He even telephoned shortly after we arrived to make certain all was well and to give us his latest "finds". The building itself is very friendly with an excellent, helpful concierge. Not previously mentioned is the Hertz office on Ave. Emile Zola (a few blocks away). We arrived by rental car and were able to easily turn in the car and shop for provisions while walking back to the apt. Be sure to walk to the Rue de Lourmel (three blocks) and check out the baker, green grocer, fabulous cheese shop etc. This seems to be where many of the locals shop as it is very busy from 4 to 7 PM.

The views are absolutely stunning- even more dramatic than the pictures depict. We loved looking out the windows watching life on the Seine. We spent 9 nights in Victor's apartment and would go back in a heart beat. Location is unbeatable close to major transportation- especially enjoyed taking picturesque bus line #69 which goes from Eiffel Tower to Pere Lachaise Cemetery. We were also right by 2 metro stops and the RER- couldn't be better. After a busy day of sightseeing, it was wonderful to stop by the Monoprix (two minutes away), pick up some cheese, strawberries, wine and relax. We enjoyed the "City of Light" so much from this apartment that we only left it at night to stand on the bridge ( 5 minutes away) to take in the full glory of the scintillating Eiffel Tower. Directly in front of Victor's apartment is the Allee des Cynes, a small narrow island splitting the Seine and linking 2 bridges. This is where many Parisians jog, walk their pets, and gaze at a huge variety of boats including tour boats and modest houseboats We had several picnics here. We appreciated the free phone calls to the USA, the internet connection, and cable although we only watched tv twice- the rest of the time we were ensconced in Victor's comfy armchairs, transfixed by views of the most beautiful city in the world. It was a delight to work with Victor - we hope to do it again. Thanks again. A bientot!

This bright and spacious apartment provided us with a wonderful base during our late-January week in Paris. Despite the cold, gray weather outside, it was a warm and welcoming home with all the amenities promised - plenty of closet space, a well equipped kitchen etc. As laptop-toting travellers, we especially appreciated the high-speed internet connection. We loved being able to get instant information about Paris attractions, restaurants, etc. with a click of the mouse. With the two nearby Metro stations - Bir Hakeim and Charles Michels - and the taxi stand next door by the Novotel, we moved around the city with ease. Despite my worries about having to wait for a taxi, we were on our way to the airport the morning of our departure within minutes of leaving the building! During this stay we especially enjoyed living as "real" Parisians - shopping in the Monoprix a few minutes away, discovering the excellent boulangeries (especially Quartier du Pain at the end of the rue Beaugrenelle where we went for our daily baguette and croissants), getting good haircuts at a local coiffeur and having a delightful dinner at one of Victor's suggested restaurants, Au Gout Dujour, our first night in Paris. All in all, our stay in Victor's comfortable and well-located apartment helped make this a wonderful week in Paris for both of us.

The Apartment was absolutely fabulous. Great location looking up and down the Seine, great proximity to subway system and local shopping, boutiques wonderful gourmet supermarkets and patisseries. The apartment was extremely comfortable since it is on the 12th floor and with the cool breeze coming off the river, the hot weather was not a problem at all. The ceiling to floor windows gave not only the view but the great breeze. As well, since the apartment building is adjacent to the NOVOTEL hotel, cabs where never an issue and getting back to your apartment by mentioning the Hotel gave us much comfort. The security I the building was excellent. Enjoy, I guarantee it...

We ABSOLUTLY loved this apartment . It was everything that Victor said it was going to be and more. The view of the River and the Tower were breath-taking. It was spacious, and comfortable. Loved the large windows. The big table was a treat. We would love to return to Paris and would stay here again. Victor you went above and beyond with your directions and help in meeting up with our daughter who was studying in Spain. We were sad to leave your apartment. Molly and Jim

Along with the many other pluses of Victor's apartment noted by previous guests, my wife and I enjoyed living in a neighborhood that is not at all touristy. The nearby shopping streets are for locals, not visitors. The restaurants -- many quite good, listed in guidebooks, and including some of the best Asian cuisine in the city -- are underpriced for Paris. There is a branch of the famous Poilane bakery on the Blvd. de Grenelle, and a Biocoop organic food store across the street. We had the sense of living in the "real" Paris. Yet the apartment is right on the river in the center of town, a ten- minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, and with easy access to all the famous sights. A great base for first-time visitors to fall in love with the city, or for returnees to prove to themselves that Paris really is better than ever!

The apt was just as the owner described. This was our first trip to France. We spent 8 days in Paris, 20 days traveling through-out France and 2 days in Barcelona Spain before flying home. Our 8 days in Paris were wonderful. The apt gave us flexability; breakfast in the apt, packed a lunch for day excursions, with dinner out. The market nearby (Monoprix) was great for restocking food and water. Lots of walking, good for exercise. The tram access was close-by. The Eifel Tower and Siene River at night were great views from the apt. For two seniors, the apt worked into our plans very well.

We chose this apartment to rent for our first trip to Paris based on the size and the view and we were not disappointed. This large bright apartment made a very comfortable and convenient home base for our 2 week stay. There are 3 nearby Metro stations as well as easy access to the RER. We enjoyed doing our daily shopping in the neighbourhood and found everyone very friendly and helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend this vacation rental property.

The apartment was wonderful! We felt so "at home" and comfortable and appreciated things like the big closets, nice big bathroom, wonderful shower and the view of La Tour Eiffel--well, does it get better than that? The large dining room table was great and we spent a few nights eating in just admiring the views of the city at night. It is a fabulous location. I enjoyed running along the Seine River most mornings. What a way to start your day. The internet service was a great bonus as well as the phone service. We truly enjoyed our visit. We hope we can schedule another visit later in the year or the same time next year and will be in touch as soon as we have dates so that--hopefully--this gem will be available

We stayed in the apartment for the one month from late January to End February 2008. As a family of three the apartment was an ideal base to stay in and experience life as Parisians. The size of the apartment was greatly appreciated and the views were wonderful. We spent some days just loafing about, particularly on the few isolated wet days that we had and it was great to have a feeling of being "at home". The local area catered well for our needs, from the Markets through the week, the Monoprix, the choice of three Metros or RER and even the Velib station which we could see from our window and determine if there were enough bikes available. We would love to come back to Paris again, staying next time even longer.

Hi Victor Thank you so much for the use of your lovely apartment while we visited Paris in July! The apartment was spacious, bright, convenient, clean and most of all the views were spectacular! We stayed up every night to watch the fantastic light display on the Effiel Tower and enjoyed watching the boats glide by on the Seine while dining "at home"! We highly recommend your apartment to anyone looking for a great and roomy place to stay in Paris. Thank you once again. Lana B!

Victor, Our stay in your apartment was wonderful. My best friend and I were immediately pleased upon entering the apartment. First, it's very spacious, so we never got the cramped feeling that one gets during a stay in a hotel room. Second, we had all the amenities (tv, microwave, toaster, full kitchen) necessary to make all feel at home. Also, the views from the apartment are gorgeous, especially at night. It was surreal to see the Seine and Eiffel Tower lit each night. We appreciated that the apartment was in walking distance to the major attractions and the Metro, as well as to various restaurants, pharmacies, bakeries, and grocery stores. We also appreciated that there was complimentary cable internet access, which permitted us to keep in contact with our friends. It was also great to be able to conduct research online to plan our daily activities. The staff of the building also were helpful to us. Our stay was wonderful and safe, and we certainly shall consider staying-for a longer period of time-in your apartment for subsquent vacations. We truly were sad to leave because we felt so comfortable and felt Parisian. Thanks so much for your kindness and assistance. Until next time, do take care. Kevin L. Harrigan

Dear Victor: We have been going to Paris for thirty- eight years for business and pleasure, and this was the best visit we have ever enjoyed thanks to having a comfortable "home" in which to enjoy it. How nice to dine out when you wish instead of having to and being able to enjoy dinner at home with the lovely views. The month passed all too quickly! It's always nice to see how little the city changes over the years, and we found the Parisians uncommonly friendly, courteous and helpful this time. We look forward to returning next year. Thank you for your hospitality and for your calls to see that everything was going well. Warm regards, Jim and Audrey E. Alameda, CA

Agree –architecture and the views are amazing and the complex well run. We were booked for 3 weeks in July, arriving to find previous tenants towels and sheets draped all over the living room. The apartment was grubby, shabby, untidy and badly in need of a handyman’s attention - not newly renovated as is stated. The bedding and towels were tattered and smelt damp. The visitor’s book we did not bother to fill in as it was filled with good reviews and the remainder were pages that had been pulled out. As soon as we found somewhere else we relocated – difficult in the height of season. We had almost 4 months in Paris – booking all our apartments through VRBO – the others were all outstanding.
Owner response:I’m sorry to learn that the tenant was unhappy. I sent an email to welcome her to Paris, and she replied, “Apart from the horrid cold weather-we are having fun.” I wish she had expressed her complaint about the sheets and towels that were drying and making the apartment appear shabby and untidy , so that I could have explained that she needed to allow the maid to complete her work and that I would have made sure that everything was right. It’s interesting to note that the next guest wrote an excellent review about his family's stay.

Thank you Victor for all of your recommendations; from the Boat Taxi,Chateau,Monoprix grocery and the Best recommendation of all "La Grande Rue" scrumptious French. This is the third apartment we have rented for a month or more in Paris, so I like to think we have a good basis for our opinion. "WOW! This is fantastic" My children's first comments on walking into the apartment say it all. The pictures of the apartment do not do justice it. Huge windows (3 in the lounge/dining room) give you an abundance of light and more importantly let you enjoy stunning views over the Seine, including most of the Eiffel Tower which you can watch twinkling at night as you go to sleep. It is well appointed and comfortable without being too precious so I didn't feel like I had to watch the children (9 on Bastille Day and 4) all the time. It is only one block away from the metro and half a block from a huge supermarket and cinema's so we felt it was very central. We had a magic time in Paris and a large part of that magic was our accomodation and our friendly and helpful host Victor. We will definately be returning.

My wife, 12 year old daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful week at this property the end of March, 2004. The Owner helped us to locate dining, transportation and shopping and was personally attentive to our satisfaction. The world class super market behind the building was a great taste of Parisian life as we enjoyed meals, snacks and treats while relaxing in front of the apartment's great views. The building and neighborhood seemed quite safe, and the building residents and management were always very pleasant and helpful. This is a great base to travel throughout Paris, and with the train station four blocks away-- Central France. It was only twenty minutes to Versaille.

Looked out the 11th floor apartment window with a Jack Daniels on the Rocks in my hand at the vibrant Seine hosting the evening river excursion beaux, the busy streets below, the Eiffel tower in view (about half) down the street and all of the local and distant apartment buildings and hotels that populate the area; wandering how well I would remember the view and the moment in a few months. Great location. Area is supported by numerous restaurants and other necessary infrastructure accommodations. We spent June 2003 in Paris with the apartment as our base. Excellent location. Metro & RER stations nearby allowing forays quickly to all Paris highlights. Tom E. Boling

My wife and I recently spent a week in May at this centrally located Paris apartment. The building is impressive and is located right next to the Seine. It is a short walk to three metro stations and next door to the Novotel Hotel, which gives easy access to taxis. The neighborhood has an abundence of shops, restaurants just a short walk away. The Eiffle Tower, which you can view from the apartment, is a ten minute walk. Near the tower, we took advantage of the Batabus boat service...a two day pass was 12.50 euros and gave unlimited accecss to many convenient stops along the Seine. The apartment itself is very clean and well decorated with TV, stereo and other extras. The owner lives in the US and was quite helpful with any questions or concerns we had. We would not hesitate to return to this unit.
