This unit at Kona Coast Resort is well furnished, well equipped with every thing you could possibly need during your stay. Mary was very responsive in attending to us if we needed anything. In the kitchen, guests would appreciate it if you put in some more pans. The microwave works well but could be upgraded with a newer one. The electric cooker might need to be replaced also. The resort itself is very nice, they have a Monday night social that was fun to attend. In terms of location, it is very quiet and across the street from a grocery store, Subway and Thai restaurant. It is a very short drive to the best snorkeling beach on the island. About a 15 minute drive to downtown Kona. Overall, we had a very relaxing stay. Thanks, Mary!
Owner response:Mahalo, Mallika, for your review. We are very happy that you had a relaxing holiday and also appreciate your suggestions. We are glad that you found our home and Island to be just what we think Hawaii is all about.

As we are residents of Oahu but visit family in Kona often, this is the nicest place we've stayed. Places along ali'i are just too noisy and we loved the quiet of the Condo. Very easy to walk to KTa or Longs for snacks or last minute Christmas Wrap! The Condo is clean, comfortable and well-stocked. Our 14 year old grandson had the loft room upstairs and he loved having his own space! Mahalo for a great stay!

This is a beautiful condo, well maintained and very well equipped. The setting, overlooking the golf course with glimpses of the ocean and lovely Hawaiian sunsets is really special. Since we love eating outdoors, our one disappointment was that the lanai table and chairs made it impossible for more than four people to sit around and enjoy eating together. We have spent several vacations in various units of the Kona coast resort and this was the loveliest setting of them all. I would say that this unit is extremely well set up for four adults. All in all, a very pleasant place to spend a week or a month!

This was sooooo perfect for a great vacation. Close to beach and shopping. Beautiful condo, resort and Island. We had no problems with the Avis car and the rate you found for us. Thank you for everything.

I recently had the wonderful experience of renting a condo on the big island of Hawaii at the Kona Coast Resort. It is owned by Mary and Jerry Goggin who take pride in making their condo feel like your home away from home. The one bedroom condo has everything one needs to rest and relax. The unit is tastefully decorated in a neutral Hawaiian theme so as not to subtract from the beautiful view of the resort. the condo is beautifully furnished yet cozy and comfortable. . The kitchen is well equipped with all the conveniences of home --towels, cooking pots and pans, spices, cookbooks, containers and even cleaning supplies. The condo guidelines invite you to use any product in the condo but replace it if it is used up. The bedroom has a California king-size bed along with ample dresser and closet space, radio and tv. Included in the dining room and living room area is a glass table for either a very casual meal or elegant dinner, comfy couch and chair along with a stereo, dvd, and tv. The lanai offers another opportunity to eat outdoors or rest and relax and enjoy the resort grounds and the impeccable landscape. Included in the welcome book that Mary and Jerry provide for you is a welcome and leaving checklist along with four different road trips that are their favorite that one can take to see while staying at the condo. What a delightful place to stay while visiting Kona ,Hawaii.

Our time at this unit was peaceful and pleasant. The unit was all we had hoped for and more. Kitchen stocked extremely well, clean, comfortable, large, well cared for space. Helpful information in unit, owner helpful and friendly. Loved the Kona Historical Society Living History Coffee Museum - hard to find due to small sign, but worth the effort. Were disappointed that such a lot of the road in Volcanoes National Park is closed, but the petroglyphs along Chain of Craters Road are worth the short hike to see. It was an easy drive into Kona, but nice to stay in a quiet location. Shopping center was very convenient - grocery, restaurants, pharmacy and even got to catch a Zumba class there.

Your place was very homey, relaxing and clean. We enjoyed our stay. It was so quiet - no loud music or late parties. The staff was excellent - always helpful. Thanks so much. I think staying in your condo has made all the others disappointing. We are now in Maui and our place here is not near as nice or as clean. You have really great cleaners - there was no "ick" factor at your place. Blessings, Lois

Too short a stay but it felt like longer. This was a business trip but coming back to your "home" at the end of the day was relaxing and refreshing. Love the art work and all the small details that made it so. Comfortable bed and beautiful shower - everything thought of.....will be back soon for a VACATION with the family. Mahalo nui loa.

We squeezed into the only 4 available days with pretty short notice. Mary was extremely easy to work with and was eager to ensure we had everything we needed. The condo is well-maintained and perfect for spending lots of time in the living area (although we were out most of the time doing things!). I've already recommended the spot to friends. Best for two people. OK for more if everybody is on the same time schedule because the second bed is in the living area. Not having a car is a real limitation, so get one. Mary got us the car through Avis, but there are several more companies at the airport if you prefer another. The Keauhou Shopping Center is within walking distance but doesn't really answer all your shopping needs. Ability to get to Kailua (but not have to stay there) and beyond is key. Easy access to snorkeling, even walking. Kealakekua Bay is a must, and nearby with a car. Best restaurant and coffee around is up the hill in Holualoa (at Holuakoa). Again, car needed. Kona Coast Resot is mostly timeshare, but has no negative impact on the place. If anything, there are more amenities and help at resort for guests than at a private condo complex. It's a great set-up with more than enough to do. Have fun. We did.

My wife and I stayed here for 23 days in Nov/Dec 2009, and our daughter joined us for the first 2 weeks. This is without a doubt the best equipped condo we've stayed in. Virtually anything you could ask for is here. It is a very large unit giving you lots of room to spread out. The bed and furniture are quite comfortable and in good condition. Kitchen appliances are new appearing and all in good working order, with a large variety of utensils and cookware, all in good condition. It is not air-conditioned, but with good cross ventilation and ceiling and floor fans we were quite comfortable. The owners are very organized and thorough making the whole rental process very easy. The resort is quite large, well located for the popular big island activities. It also has a shopping center practically next door. The resort staff were super friendly and helpful. My wife wished that one of the pools had been heated. I didn't mind the cool water, but I wished they would get rid of the muzak. I did not like the resort's internet access system. It was somewhat pricey and not the easiest to use. I've been spoiled by free internet access at the Hawaii condos I've stayed in previously. Another thing I liked about this place was their cancellation policy, though we fortunately didn't have to use it: instead of forfeiting the cost of the condo if you have to cancel on short notice, they will allow you to apply the deposit to a stay at a later time. I wish more condo owners had that policy. All in all our stay here was a great experience and we thank the Goggins for sharing their beautiful condo with us.

The condo is great, very nicely decorated and spacious. It's easy to understand why this is your "home away from home". We want to thank you for the use of your condo. It was the most comfortable and well-stocked unit we have stayed in. Our vacation was most enjoyable and the weather was perfect. We will be in touch when we plan our next trip to Kona.

After staying in your home, we drove to Volcano National Park where we stayed for 3 nites before flying home. We really missed the spaciouness of your lovely condo. We have never enjoyed a condo more than we did yours. Nor have we ever had so many extra amenities before. Loved your art work, especially the nature photos in the hallway and the turtles and butterfly fish in the bathroom. Also noted the Georgia O'Kieffe! Speaking of your bathroom-WOW! Found your 1000 piece puzzle, but too late and I would not have had time anyway. However a great idea for a longer stay. We did use your guide books - great help. And wonderful idea of places to visit. Mahalo!
