Vacation in Cozumel

We had the luxury of doing a last minute rental with Ronen and his lovely home in Cozumel. We had a wonderful time there. The pool was fantastic, nice snorkeling outside the home, a relaxing hot tub, and a great rooftop. The only issue for me was the internet. Upload speed was fine, but download was an enigma and when you are a workaholic like me I had withdrawal issues. Can't blame Ronen for this one.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

Our trip and your house was so great. Your staff - Memo the manager and Jenny the housekeeper were both excellent. We had Jenny cook one night and she and Ally were fantastic. The pool, hot tub, and snorkel deck were all perfect. I was pleasantly surprised by our car rental. We went with EZ and even though it was a very short walk over to their terminal they did a great job and were very inexpensive. My strongest recommendation regards the divemaster we were set up with. BlueWaterProject was perfect. Blanca was the best dive instructor we have ever seen and my daughter took a discovery scuba class with her that was so comfortable and easy. Paco was also a great communicator. For dinner suggest Kinta, Casa Denis. For lunch playa Palancar. Mega and Chedraui grocery stores are both like US stores. Plenty of selection and great prices.

Our party of 10 adults stayed at Villa Eden in January 2009. The villa is wonderful - and has the best outdoor areas of any of the villas we have stayed at over the last 8-10 years. We really enjoyed the variety of seating areas - allowing us to be all together or to split into smaller groups or go off for some alone time. The ease of use of the computer and the phone were added benefits. Addition of the rooftop hot tub will be terrific - what a view! The manager was very professional and gave us many excellent suggestions about things to do, places to go and several restaurants. We particularly liked La Cocay in town. The cooks and housekeeper took excellent care of us. We asked them to select menus from whatever was available locally and they were outstanding. They are really great people and I hope that they stay with the villa for a long time as they are a wonderful asset. While we did tour the island and spent some time in town doing a bit of shopping and eating, We elected to spend most of our time at the villa as we had everything we wanted there - from swimming to snorkelling to star gazing and late night movies. I would definitely recommend this villa to friends. There are no twin beds, so the group needs to be either willing to share or smaller in number than 10. Book lights for late night reading would be good to bring along. Mostly it was just great being at this lovely place and being so well taken care of by the staff. And keep your eyes open for the biggest orange iguana ever!

Our family group of 7 adults, 2 kids and 2 infants just returned from Villa Eden, Despite rather disappointing weather, we had a very good time. I'm told the weather hasn't been this poor for 15 years, unfortunately. First of all, be assured that the owner was a pleasure to deal with and the property is as advertised. In fact, it is nicer than the photos (some of which are older). There are many different seating areas to pick from. The pool area has lounge chairs all around, and there is a wonderful adjacent palapa, complete with hot tub. Take a few steps down the sidewalk and you arrive at the oceanfront deck area, with more chairs, table and loungers. There are two sets of stairs leading directly into the ocean, and you can snorkel right there. Up above, there is the rooftop deck, with wet bar, stools and more tables and loungers. The view is spectacular from here. The main inside living area (kitchen, living and dining) is an open area, which is great. The satellite TV has as many channels as at home. There is a computer, wireless internet throughout, and free telephone calls to U.S. There are 2 bedrooms downstairs and 3 upstairs, all of which are very good size with en-suite bathrooms. Beds and mattresses are newer and comfortable (although some thought a little hard). Memo is the house manager who fetched us from the airport and helped us get settled in. Jenny and Ali did the cooking and cleaning, and cheerfully took great care of us. We let Jenny decide the menus, and she came thru with authentic Mexican cuisine. Her breakfasts were to die for, and I miss them since returning home. The fee for cook service is paid to the owner, and then you pay Jenny for the groceries you use. She does the shopping, and will bring you other items if you give her a list. Jenny and Ali were also kind enough to play with the kids while the adults were eating. As you can tell, we highly recommend Villa Eden! The owner was very responsive, helpful and honest, as were all the other staff members. We hope to return one day soon.
