This ranch style house is located at #4 Holgate Avenue, it is comfortably furnished and equipped to make it your home away from home.
The Master bed room with Queen bed has a private bathroom with shower. The front Bed room and Bed room #3 each have two twin beds and share a full bathroom with tub/shower.
We do have a TV and DVD player (for rainy days) as well as quite a few books and games for all.
We have a washer and dryer and also a clothes line for those of us who love the smell of fresh air on our sun dried clean clothes!
Ride one of our bikes to the Pearl Street Market and pick up a freshly made breakfast bread and a newspaper.
Take a short walk down the street to see the sunset in the bay after spending the day on the beach - Ocean access is across the street.
The "Florida Room" just off the dining area provides a quiet spot for reading and has a second dining table perfect for playing games or to seat the extra dinner guests.
6 Beach chairs and 4 bikes for your use are in the garage.

Why the Owner Chose Holgate
When the children were young, it seemed like a quiet part of the island, close to the sandy beach and also to the playground on the bay side. AND our Oma loved to spend the days on the beach with her grand daughters....
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our beach house is a comfy place to spend time with family and friends, relaxing, playing games, watching the sunset, riding bikes or just re-charge our batteries. The smell of the salt air, the sound of the ocean waves, a few days away from the daily routine ...is good for the heart and soul. This is what we most enjoy at our home at the shore. AND if we are really lucky, we may get to see the Monarchs as they fly south. Congregating in the pine trees, these beautiful butterflies, it is quite a sight!

The girls were 5 and 8 when we bought the beach house. They are now adults and still love the beach!
We try to still spend a few long week ends together at our favourite cottage.

My husband and have just spent our 3rd summer vacation for a week at this home. This is a very lovely home for which the owner's descriptions & pictures do it justice. It's only one house and across the street for the beach access. They provide a variety of bikes and all the ammenities listed. The house is well maintained and very clean. It's also just a short bike ride to the Pearl St. Market for homemade cakes, muffins, scones, etc. The market also has a great gourmet section and fresh seafood. It's also within biking distance to the popular Will's Pancake House and the Chicken or the Egg restaurants. We highly recommend this property and about to book time for our 4th summer there.
Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

The key in this house is location, location, location. It's really close to the beach on a quiet section of the island (which I really appreciate). I've stayed here a number of times and love evening walks to the bay side and bird sanctuary, afternoon tennis games at the courts nearby, and eating outdoors. The house has everything you need and is nicely kept. The landlord is very nice and helpful and the amenities nearby (gourmet and basic grocery stores, tasty seafood spots, tennis, etc) make it perfect for a relaxing and fun stay.
