Our vacation home is located just 20 minutes from Wild Adventures Theme Park and 30 minutes from Valdosta, Georgia. We are on a beautiful, spring-fed lake just over the Florida/Georgia border. Enjoy a relaxing and peaceful vacation away from it all.
Our home has 4 BR, 3.5 baths located on Cherry Lake, nestled in a very rural setting yet close enough to everything you need. Cherry Lake is ideal for swimming, skiing, tubing, jet skis, and fishing. Our home has its own private dock.
The property is covered with large oak trees and huge cypress trees. Nature abounds in this rural setting. There are beautiful, friendly swans who live on the lake and a bald eagle is not an unusual sight. The lake is well stocked with large mouth bass, speckled perch, brim and catfish. In the evening enjoy a marshmallow roast or a campfire sing-along in the outdoor campfire area.
There are three bedrooms with a king bed in each room, two downstairs and one up. The fourth bedroom has two sets of QUEEN size bunk beds. These bunk beds were hand-crafted from the left over logs from the construction of the home. You can easily sleep 8 kids in this room.
This home is an authentic cypress log home. It has hard-wood floors. Our home is large and spacious and easily accommodates two families. Great for family reunions, church groups or a family getaway. If you love nature, you will love this slice of heaven!
If theme park fun is what you're looking for, Wild Adventures is just 20 minutes away. This has got to be North Florida and South Georgia's best-kept secret. No long lines and something to do for the entire family, at a great value.
With a variety of roller coasters, shows and wildlife, Wild Adventures is a theme park where you can really get the most for your money. Wild Adventures has opened their new water park, which promises to deliver some relief to those hot summer days in the South. End your evening with a fireworks and laser show that will thrill the whole family.

My husband and I have owned this property since 2001 when we purchased an empty lot and began clearing it for our log home.
Why the Owner Chose Valdosta
I grew up spending summers at the lake with my family. These were cherished memories that I wanted our children to have. Our lake home as become a family treasure. We have so many wonderful memories with friends and family times at Cherry Lake.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Cherry Lake is the perfect lake for skiing, wakeboarding, tubing and of course fishing. I love the fact that it is spring fed and clear, clean water. The location is quiet and serene, nature abounds here.

I visited the cabin 1/13/12-1/17/12 with my church youth group (13 people in all). I already had high expectations from the pictures and reviews on this website, but it was even better than I expected. The house is beautiful and accommodated our group very comfortably. We spent a lot of time on the dock and out on the water in the boat. The upstairs den was perfect for our meetings each morning and night. The Nintendo 64 was a nice bonus for the students...they really had fun with it. The owners are a pleasure to work with and are very accommodating...thanks, Tina! We definitely recommend this property!

My family and I vacationed here last July. We had the best time! We rented this beautiful cabin for 3 days, intending to purchase 2 day passes to Wild Adventures. We checked into the cabin the first day, got settled in and went on to Wild Adventures. That night when we got home we grilled out, made a fire complete with S'mores, played horse shoes and had blast! The kids were having so much fun the next day that they didn't want to go Wild Adventures! We spent the 2nd day at the cabin on the lake, fishing, swimming, boating, just anything and everything the kids wanted to do! It was one of the most fun filled vacations we have had! My oldest daughter has requested that we go back for her birthday again this year, we even offered a trip to Disney, but she'd rather go back to the cabin and Wild Adventures!! My family gathered for a Thanksgiving Reunion -- absolutely LOVED this home. The foosball and pool upstairs, the spacious main room with dining and kitchen attached, the open pit campfire, large roomy guest rooms, rope swing, and beautiful sunsets made precious memories for our family! You will NOT regret staying here ... and indeed will regret passing it up if you don't!

What a beautiful home and a great spot for a vacation. We went to Valdosta to Wild Adventures for two days and the drive was not a problem. The house is big and there is everything you need in the kitchen. Much nicer than staying at a hotel in Valdosta.
