  We stayed in Golden Stars Royal apartment at November 2008. Having Tomas as our host was wonderful! He was very helpful, provided maps, suggested best local restaurants, pubs etc. At our departure day he arranged us a shuttle back to the airport. The apartment itself was great, equipped with WIFI and phone. Very clean, very cozy with comfortable bed. The apartment was incredibly peaceful at night. There is a private balcony facing to the small semi-pedestrian street. The building is beautiful with full of history. The entrance gate is georgious! 5-6 years with my family using apartments, but this one was the BEST! The location just perfect. Being that close to the metro enabled us to quickly stop by 'home' and drop our stuff, take a rest and go on with our sightseeing. Very convenient. There is a mini market right next to the apartment, they sell fresh eggs, cheese, all the freshest dairy you can think of. There is also a bakery shop and vine shop and quite a few number of great cafes and restaurants within a 1 minute walk. All in all we had great time and definitely will come back! SW.

  Just got back and had a wonderful stay! Tomas was so helpful and the apartment was perfect for our family of 4! Great location next to trams, Market Hall, etc. There is also a playground across the street which is a great bonus when you are exploring European cities with small kids! We loved everything about our stay in Budapest and highly recommend this apartment. One of our favorites!

  We were lucky enough to visit Budapest for 2 weeks. What a beautiful city! What made the stay even more enjoyable was the amazing “Superior” apartment (Tomas has several apartments to choose from). What a wonderful place, beautifully decorated, right in the heart of town, convenient to all public transportation with a multitude of restaurants within steps of the apartment. The apartment was highlighted in one of Budapest’s top Interior Decorating magazines. It is spotless with a fully stocked kitchen and all the modern conveniences of home. The apartment was recently renovated and has all modern appliances, including rain showers in the bathrooms. The location can’t get any better as it is a few feet from the famous Vaci Utca walking/shopping street. Even though it is one of the busiest areas of town, the apartment was very quiet and private. The apartment is on the 3rd floor with no lift, which wasn’t a problem for us but if you have physical limitations, you may want to take this into consideration. The Deak metro station, where all 3 metro lines connect is just 2 blocks away which made it convenient to get everywhere. Tomas was very responsive to work with when arranging the stay. He arranged for transportation to/from the airport, met us at the apartment and made several suggestions on places to visit, eat and see. Since it was our first time to Budapest, he provided maps and highlighted places of interest. He also provided a cell phone so we could receive incoming calls. I highly recommend staying at the “Superior” apartment; you won’t be disappointed at all!

  The apartment is gorgeous and very comfortable. Tomas was very helpful with our stay. Walking distance to tourists sights or an easy ride on local transportation. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this apartment...The owner is very personable and helpful about things to do in the area, places to eat and so on.....Loved Budapest...will recommend this apartment to friends! Thanks!

  We had debated whether to visit Budapest or to structure our trip more around Prague and head NW through Belgium and Amsterdam. Budapest ended up being a favorite part of our trip, and I genuinely feel Tomas' attention to detail and friendliness helped us get into our vacation with ease. Tomas was a pleasure to coordinate arrangements with via email. He was patient and knowledgable. Separately, he also coordinated our transport from the airport to the apartment - this was a great move. Our drive was early at the airport with a sign w/ our names on it. By the time we were dropped off at the airport, Tomas was there waiting. Tomas is a genuinely nice person and very thoughtful. He took extreme effort and pride in showing us the apartment, giving us a local map and making recommendations on everything from restaurants, food, wine - you name it. The apartment was a PERFECT location - right across the street from Market Hall (great place to buy veggies, fruit and wine to store in your convenient apartment kitchen), within walking distance of the 'tourist district', off of major transportation lines, and with awesome "local" spots nearby (24-7 market, For Sale Pub - great goulash, Janice Pub - a Janice Joplin tribute pub with homemade recipes and friendly service). Everything in the apartment was clean, well-maintained, spacious and convenient. We never heard any neighbors and appreciated upon arrivals (carrying heavy backpacks) that there was a lift in the building. Tomas even arranged for our transport to the train station at the end of our stay. Oh yeah - the apartment also had FREE voIP calls to the United States so we were even able to check in with our families during our visit. We're in our late 20's to early 30's from Austin, TX. I would HIGHLY recommend this apartment and Tomas to a wide array of folks. Easily the apartment could accomodate retired people, two couples traveling together, a small family (there are two bedrooms separated by a good-sized living room), a group of women or guys traveling together.   My wife and I decided last minute to visit Budapest. Of the several requests I sent out for information, Tomas was the first to respond. He provided excellent and honest information, and was very helpful! He arranged for us to be picked up at the airport (extra fee) and brought to the apartment. The location is fabulous! It's not the apartment advertised above, but a smaller one located at the corner of Szechenyi Rakpart and Margit hid. It's an old building, but quite charming. The room is basic, but completely met our needs. It was very clean, we always had hot water, Internet, small kitchen, comfortable bed, TV with channels in English. The aprtment is two steps from two tram stations, from the beautiful Margit park, from a multitude of cafes and restaurants, and from a small grocery store. A 10 minute tram ride took us to great restaurants on Andressy Street, Veci Street, the Market, King's palace, and a bunch of other great places. Just ask Tomas - he'll tell you exactly where to go!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

  Loved my stay in Budapest, and this apartment helped make it special. It's a very convienent location and Tomas was very helpful in making sure I had everything I needed. I was grateful for the transfer to the airport, and found everything in the apartment as shown on the web site. It was a lovely spot and I highly reccomend it for anyone traveling to Budapest. Good value.

  I've rented many different holiday apartments in Budapest over the years, but this one combines comfort, cleanliness, affordability and location at its best. In a hotel you just visit Budapest, in this apartment you live there. It's a moment away from bustling shops, restaurants, the Metro and the Danube, yet it is a quiet haven to come home to. The owner is dependable, honest and informative, which, regrettably, one does not always experience in vacation rentals. Be sure to eat at For Sale Pub, a tiny and cozy restaurant at the corner, and shop at the Old Market Hall. You can rent this apartment with confidence -- just don't do it on the dates I want to return:) The DREAM Apartment located on the 4th floor, building with the lift. Highly recommend!

  My experience in Golden Stars Budapest Apartments was nothing less than wonderful. For the past several years, I have been spending a few weeks during the fall in Budapest and this stay was one of the best. The accommodations were great. For a single traveler, and even a couple, this is the perfect place. Reasonable rate, spectacular location, and the most hospitable host (Tomas). Fantastic local cafes and restaurants from the doorstep. Convenient Metro stops very near the apartment. Highly recommend these holiday apartments!

  we stayed at the Dream ap. on Vaci ut. Great location, very helpful owner, nothing was too difficult for him. Clean and comfortable and very easy access to all atractions. Would be happy to stay here again.
