  Myself & some buddies rented out the Ellery House for Memorial Day Weekend. The house was perfect. Clean, big enough to fit 8 people and only a short walk from the beach and the Atlantic Beach Club. Rebecca was awesome and very courteous of our privacy. Thames st is just a short cab ride away and a nice walk home from the bars & restaurants after close (probably just under 2 miles away). There are some great restaurants and bars just a couple blocks down the street from the house as well. The house also has an awesome patio great for grilling out. Would defintely go back! Thanks Rebecca!

  While in town for our daughters college graduation we stayed at the Ellery House. The house was perfect for our family visit to Newport. From our 80 year old parents to our 6 month old niece - everything worked out great! Communication with the owner was easy The accommodations were great and the house location was very convenient. The house was clean and neat, the large kitchen/family room was great for family time and the gas grill made dinners easy. Thanks!

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ellery house. The owner made us feel at home, welcomed and wanting for nothing. On a quiet street close to the beaches, the location was just want we needed. The property was spotless and the owner was respectful of our privacy. We would certainly recommend this property to those seeking a nice get away.

  My family and I had a wonderful week at Ellery House. We had 4 adults, a 2 year old, a newborn and the dog in our party and the house was spacious and allowed plenty of room for us all to be comfortable. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen provided all the essentials needed. The back patio is fenced and the kids loved the hammock. Rebecca is friendly and was very respectful of our privacy. The beaches, downtown Newport, the Cliff Walk and all of the attractions were only minutes away, but Ellery House is located on a quiet street which was necessary for small children who are in bed early. I would highly recommend Ellery House for those looking to vacation in Newport whatever the reason. Thank you Rebecca and I look forward to another stay at Ellery House.

  Ellery House was perfect for our family (dog included)....very comfortable & clean and location was great. We were very close to the beaches and Newport, but in a very quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed our morning runs down by the water and on the Cliff Walk & spent most days at the beach. This was a great location for those with young children who still nap, the beach was close enough for us to go back & forth from beach to house. The owner made everything easy for us and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely come back!

  We rented Ellery House for the week of my son’s wedding in Newport. The location of the house is great, a short walk to beach, restaurants and a short drive to downtown Newport. The four bedrooms and two full baths came in handy as we were constantly adding and subtracting guests as the week progressed as more family/friends arrived for the wedding as well as the extra air mattresses the owner provided us. The Groomsmen enjoyed the beach, use of the beach chairs and the hot/cold outdoor shower in the back yard for washing off sand. We entertained the Bride’s family for dinner one night making use of the side patio and outdoor grill and we even played Bocce Ball on the front lawn. I appreciated having a washer/dryer available. This rental allows pets and we appreciated the fully fenced in safe yard for our son’s dog “Gus”. The owner Rebecca was so very nice, answered all of our questions for directions, restaurant suggestions, etc. making us feel right at home. She even took care of our dog the evening of the Rehearsal Dinner and day of the Wedding. We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Newport and hope to visit the area again.

  We had a wonderful stay at the Ellery House in Newport. The owner, Rebecca, could not have been more personal, friendly and helpful. The home was in a great location for walking to the beach and the backyard was spacious for our visiting pets. Since it was a very hot week, the air conditioner provided a welcome relief and if I return to Newport, I will definitely look forward to bringing my family to the Ellery House again. Thank you Rebecca for warm hospitality and great bottle of white wine!!!!!!!

  Our group consisted of 91-year-old Grandma, a 9-year-old family dog, a 9-month-old baby and 5 others, we ALL travelled to Newport for a family wedding. It was GREAT! The house was clean, the living space was accomodating and the amenities (laundry, backyard, pullout beds) came in very handy. Rebecca was a good, kind, fair "renter." Within a 10-minute walk and/or a 5-minute drive you were on the beach and eating at great restaurants in Middletown... A short car ride over the bridge and you were in the heart of Newport! During our 5-day stay we toured the famous mansions, walked through the quaint colonial village, ate GREAT seafood, did some shopping, we even had a wonderful day at the beach!

  My girlfriends and I recnetly spent our annual Girl's Weekend at Ellery House. There were 8 of us in all and the house was a good size for us. Since it was March, it wasn't exactly beach weather. However, we did have some great spring weather, which was perfect for a long stroll on the Cliff Walk. We also did lots of shopping and browsing in the Newport area. The house was clean and comfortable for us. Rebecca was very accommodating and, except for the dogs we occasionally spotted in the back yard, we didn't even know she was in the attached apartment. The kitchen was very well stocked with all the comforts of home and we tried to leave it as neat as we has found it. The living room was great for sitting around and catching up with each other. The seating was a little limited, but we just brought in a few of the comfy chairs from the kitchen and talked all night. As always, there just wasn't enough time. We hope to get back to the area again soon! Thanks for opening your home to us, Rebecca!!

Sorry about the seating in the kitchen .... seating for 8 is usually pretty convenient for most parties. Maybe we should invest in a couple extra chairs for larger parties. Thanks for the feedback. For any other guests, just want to point out that due to it being "off season", & the backyard not being used by our guests due to poor weather, that the only reason the dogs were out there for a couple short periods of time. If Ellery House is occupied, & there is any chance you will be using the yard or patio, the dogs arent ever put outside. Conversely, if you have dogs yourself, we welcome them as the yard is safely fenced in, & the beach is 3 blocks away for a doggie swim! Pam, hope to see you & your friends again one day! Thank you!

  My family of 5 and another family of 3 stayed in this house for a week in Aug. We had a great time. Rebecca was very friendly. Although the back of the house is sometimes owner occupied, it was never a problem. We could grilled on the deck and had complete privacy. You cannot beat the closeness to the beach, just a short car ride away. The 5 boys with us were 12-16 so it was a little cramped but the boys made it work. The house was clean and we were so happy we could bring our dog on vacation with us! Thanks Rebecca for a wonderful vacation!
