The property consists of a contemporary three bedroom, two and one-half bath main house, plus a Craftsman style one bedroom, one bath guest house, on a ridge-top location with spectacular 280-degree views of the vineyards of Sonoma Valley.There are five very private, fenced and gated acres, much of them level or gently sloping with mature oak and olive trees--ideal for relaxing with your family or friends.
The large, well-appointed gourmet kitchen has a six-burner Viking range, two convection ovens, a wine refrigerator, and concrete/steel counters. There is formal indoor dining for twelve people, casual outdoor dining for 12+.
The spacious master bedroom boasts a separate stereo system, television w/ DVD/VCR, satellite service w/HBO. The master bath has a two-person, Japanese-style soaking tub and a detached slate shower w/ skylight. New in 2008: Hardcourt Tennis court w/ basketball hoop.
All bedrooms have Frette bathrobes, 620 thread-count linens and tasteful furniture.In addition, there is 1500 square feet of decking for outdoor dining and relaxing, a lap pool with an automatic cover and a 6-person outdoor hot tub with a beautiful view of the Mayacamas mountains and the Sonoma valley.
Secluded yet only five minutes from the award-winding wineries of the northern Sonoma Valley. 12 miles from Sonoma Plaza, ten miles to Santa Rosa; 30 minutes to the Russian River and Napa valley. We had an unbelievable stay at this gorgeous home. The views are stunning in every direction. The decor is beautiful. The swimming pool is luxurious. The outdoor space is perfect for al fresco dining. This is a great place to stay with children or for an adult weekend away! You can not go wrong with these lovely accommodations! This house is stunning inside and out - well appointed, lovely details and a perfectly situated indoor/outdoor space overlooking Sonoma in every direction. The pool is absolutely perfect on a hot day, or after a tennis game on the property. My guests and I had an amazing time exploring the home, dining al fresco and spending time together cooking, relaxing and enjoying the sun. We loved playing outdoor games on the perfectly manicured, bright green lawn and were super comfortable cozying up in the great room at night. With glass walls all around, we were able to take full advantage of the natural and incredibly scenic surroundings while indoors or outside, enjoying epic sunsets and sunrises, breakfasts and dinners, evenings and afternoons - amongst the trees and wildlife high on the hill.Recommended for: Sightseeing.

We have been here three times and look forward to coming back each year. Our children absolutely LOVE this house and talk about their fond memories of "their" Kenwood house all year long. The house and property have everything you could want; there is no reason to ever leave. It is truly one of the most relaxing vacations we have ever had with 3 kids.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I hesitate to write a review as I selfishly would love for this to stay a best kept secret :) However, the owners are so gracious both in the way they furnish their home & take care of their guests, that it is only fair to be honest. This home is set amidst spectacular views and optimizes them with an abundance of windows. While the setting feels remote, it is only minutes away from several wineries in Kenwood. The decor is beautiful and tastefully done, extremely clean, and the house is stocked with all the essentials to make you feel at home. The outdoor amenities are too long to list; you feel as if you are at your own hideaway resort. I couldn't recommend this wonderful & special home more highly.Did you find this review helpful? This property is exceptional in every way. Clean, well-maintained and decorated with impeccable taste. Dine indoors or outdoors depending on the weather. We opened up the entire glass wall and enjoyed the pool activity while cooking gourmet meals in the well equipped kitchen. Ample space for everyone in your party, as listed, and every bed is comfortable! The location is wonderfully secluded yet close to everything...fantastic award winning wineries just a short drive away. But why leave this extraordinary palace? The owners are fantastic,friendly and respond immediately. I highly recommend a stay here, you will not be disappointed.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

I've stayed here a few times. The pictures don't do it the justice it deserves. Super private and panoramic. Not too far from San Francisco, but you still feel miles away! The House and Guest House are both neat & tidy. All bedding is ultra plush. Great for entertaining groups, yet can also be super cozy. Lots to do nearby both on and off the estate. Would recommend this to any and all! As much as I love just enjoying the property and all it has to offer, the wine tasting nearby is also another fun way to spend the day.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This is our second rental of this home - the first was for 10 days and the second time was a long weekend - both visits were too short. Beautiful setting and views - the photos don't do justice. The property is wonderful - lawn, pool, and tennis court - thoughtfully laid out and of the highest qualities. The home is contemporary - yet warm and inviting - all done with a designer's skill and eye. Great outdoor spaces leads to indoor/outdoor living at its finest. The setting is removed enough to feel as though you got away, yet access to town of Sonoma and Glen Ellen is close enough for restaurants and activities. We've always contemplated purchasing here- yet with this home available - we're not sure why we would. Highly recommend and we'll be back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This place is off-the-hook spectacular. The 360 degree views are stunning. It was very comfortable for our two families with lots of kids. I have stayed at this property several times and can't wait to get back! It is the perfect place to relax, spend quality time with people you love, and enjoy the finest of Sonoma and Napa. The layout is extremely accommodating and comfortable, the design is beautiful and tastefully done, and the pool is divine. We rented the Kenwood house for our annual girls weekend a few years ago. Before that, we always changed our desitination for the weekend. But, after renting this home, we concluded we would never get a better place for the price. It is fabulous...panoramic views of Kenwood, beautiful home/grounds with all modern ammenities, close to great restaurants and wine tasting. And, the owners are a pleasure to work with. We will never go anywhere else.
