*** EMAIL OR CALL US IF YOU ARE INTERESTED AND WE WILL QUICKLY CALL YOU BACK - WE HAVE RENTED THROUGH VRBO OURSELVES AND WE BELIEVE IN A PERSONAL TOUCH!!! ***
THIS IS NOT YOUR AVERAGE RENTAL WITH TYPICAL CHEAP, MOUNTAIN-THEMED AMENITIES! From the furnishings to the linens to the kitchen appliances, the decor of our home is upscale, contemporary, and most importantly, comfortable. This is the perfect home for 2 - 3 families with children, 2 – 4 couples, or a group of friends looking for the perfect mountain vacation.
Whether you are coming to enjoy Breckenridge for skiing, biking, hiking, fishing, golfing, or to sample one of our local cultural festivals, the location of this home is ideal. We are minutes away from the ski-mountain gondola, main street Breckenridge, the Blue River, and the only Jack Nicklaus-designed municipal golf course in the country.
*** Our home also features a wonderfully situated and beautiful (and clean!) hot tub which stares right at the Breck mountain range. Sit and enjoy the view while you soak out the kinks! ***
The house has two stories, with the main living area upstairs. The open floor plan includes a GOURMET KITCHEN with stainless appliances and an island that seats two adjacent to a large dining area with seating for ten. The family room has a huge, vaulted ceiling with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide unreal mountain range views, a gas fireplace with built-in bookshelves, a large micro-suede sectional sofa that seats 7-8 with a leather ottoman, and a media center with a 60-inch LCD HDTV and stereo system including iPad/iPod hookup. The master suite with jetted tub and the queen bedroom with full bath are also upstairs.
Downstairs has a large informal living room with two leather sofas and a 32-inch television. There is also a warm, cozy wood-burning stove in this living area. It is the perfect place for kids to watch movies or play games, or for adults to sneak away with coffee and a book. There are windows across the entire downstairs living area that allow additional fantastic views of Breckenridge. (And, for the executive that can’t fully unplug there is an office area with WIRELESS INTERNET and even a PRINTER/SCANNER!)
Downstairs, there is one bedroom with an extra-long twin over full bunk bed, and another large bedroom with two extra-long twin beds (which can convert to a King). Both bedrooms share a full bath downstairs. The home has huge, expansive decks both upstairs and down that offer spectacular views of the mountains.
The things that make our home truly special are the ideal, livable floor plan, the comfortable, upscale décor, the convenient and accessible location, and the amazing, UNPARALLELED VIEWS of the mountains. We invite you to come and experience what we feel is mountain living at its finest! Call or email us with specific questions or for more photos.
To Recap, here are the bed/bedroom arrangements:
BR #1: King Bed (master suite w/private full bath)
BR #2: Queen Bed (w/adjacent private full bath)
BR #3: Extra Long Twins converts to King Bed (w/adjacent shared full bath) plus Bunk Beds - room sleeps 4
BR #4: Extra Long Single Bunk over Double Bed (w/adjacent shared full bath) - sleeps 3

We could not have picked a more perfect home to accommodate the needs of our entire family – we loved it, the kids loved it – we couldn’t believe that we found a home as nice and as comfortable as our own with THOSE VIEWS!!! (The Caldwells, Hickory, NC)

Wow what a wonderful home to stay in on our Breckenridge get-away this summer. There was so much room for our family of 5 and we could easily have asked friends to join us since there is so much space. The home is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. Everything we needed was there and more. Kevin and Julie were so helpful and quick to respond to several questions during our visit. Thanks for the great accomodations and we look forward to a return visit next year. Anne, Rick and family

Owner response: Anne & Rick - that's what we like to hear! While we knew you would have a great time - we're glad to hear that you did! We hope you'll return - you were great guests! Kevin & Julie
We had a high school girlfriends reunion, 25 years after graduation, with 12 of us, and it was great! Our activities included hiking, snowshoeing, spa afternoon, yoga-at-the-house, hot tubbing, and great cooking and relaxing at the house, which we loved!!

Perfectly Comfortable and Relaxing
Perfectly Comfortable and Relaxing
We were in contact with Kevin, the owner, prior to arrival. Everything included in the listing was present in the home, however the listing doesn't do the home justice - it's a wonderful house with a pair of living room spaces and a completely updated, modern kitchen. All bedrooms are comfortable with two holding multiple beds (perfect for family vacations, such as ours). Everything was in perfect working order and our service before and after our stay was attentive. We expect to be coming back.

Great place to stay!!! Excellent view and the owner was very personable and helpful. We have been staying in rental houses on peak 7 for the last 5 years and this particular house has a much better view and is alot closer to town and the Gondola. Best house we have found by far...

I would highly recommend this house to anyone, if you are looking for a home that is large enough for 10+ people, gracefully decorated, full of amenities, convenient to downtown, and has spectacular views. We had 4 adult couples, so the layout of the house was great and big enough for all of us. Not to mention, the Hot Tub , when its 15 degrees outside....refreshing. The home had all the amenities we ever needed. The owners could not have been nicer, provided everything we asked for and was available to answer questions whenever we needed. In fact, he even "arranged" for 22+ inches of snow the week we were there, so the skiing was also incredible. Downtown was great with lots of shopping, dining and drinking. We highly recommend Embers Restaurant if you want fine dining at a very reasonable price. Thank you Kevin and Julie for opening up your home and for your hospitality. We all look forward to another possible visit in the future. Scott and Amy; Drew and Margaret; Jeff and Janis; Jay and Julie. Durham, NC

Vacation rental in Breckenridge was wonderful
Vacation rental in Breckenridge was wonderful
We were so excited when we arrived at this rental home in Breckenridge. It was all that had been promised and then some. The owners even had welcome snacks on the island in the kitchen. We would definitely recommend this home to family and friends. The view from the balcony was spectacular. And the location of the property was excellent--close to the city but remote enough to let these Texans feel the beauty and serenity of the mountains. It truly is within walking distance to the city. We had a problem with the cable box and the owner was there in no time to get it repaired. They had a notebook full of activities/restaurants/local info/maps on the counter for our use. We enjoyed spending time at this home--grilling on the balcony, chilling in the hot tub and sipping wine under the stars. It was a wonderful getaway and we highly recommend the home and it's owners.

The PERFECT place to stay
The PERFECT place to stay
Our entire family had the privilege of staying in this beautiful home. The owner's description is perfect!! The house was just what a large family needs. We felt as if we were in our own home, with everything we needed. The owners made us feel so welcome and I sincerely hope that we can plan a trip there again in the near future. We would not hesitate to recommend this property to everyone traveling to Breckenridge and would rent this property again in a heartbeat for future visits! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!!

Amazing views and perfect location
Amazing views and perfect location
Can't say enough about this place, what a perfect house for a Breckenridge vacation. From the minute you pull in you feel at home. Beautiful place with amazing views. Place was super clean, and had everything we needed to enjoy the week in Breck! Location is ideal for anything in Breckenridge. Downtown 5 minutes,Breck Gondola, 5 minutes, Grocery store, 5 minutes, Liquor store, 5 minutes...what else do you need? Huge 2 car garage to keep cars out of the snow. Downstairs area is really nice for kids to have their own play area and watch DVD's. Wood burning stove downstairs pretty much kept the whole house warm in 5 degree temps. Huge 3D TV in living room was perfect to watch the Giants beat up the Patriots in the Superbowl! Kitchen was ideal for cooking meals and had everything possible. Enjoyed grilling steaks on a snowy night on the deck watching the snow cats groom the slopes. Owner's were very personable and great about checking up on us and making sure we had everything we needed. You will not want to leave once you check-in, i know we didnt want to. Hopefully will be returning next year.

Perfect family vacation spot !!
Perfect family vacation spot !!
We stayed at this beautiful home for our first family ski trip. Our family of five had more than enough room to relax and enjoy beautiful Breck! We found it to be even better than the photos. You will not find more breathtaking views of the mountain...talk about inspiring! The house is cozy, comfortable and clean, and those beds feel great after a day of skiing or dogsledding! The location of this house allows you to access the ski mountain, grocery and liquor stores, restaurants and the downtown village in minutes. However we found we wanted to stay home and cook in this gorgeous kitchen most nights and enjoy the mountain views from the comfort of home. We loved this place and hope to return this year!

Owner response: We're so happy you guys had a great time - your description is exactly how we view the home! We sure hope you'll return again! Thanks, Kevin & Julie
Our family (of 4) stayed here with another family (of 4) very comfortably. The house was extremely clean, beautifully decorated, the rooms were spacious & beds were super comfortable! Everything in the house was top notch from the amazing kitchen, to the cozy fireplaces(upstairs & down), to the fabulous outdoor hot tub with an incredible view of the mountain! Sunrise and sunset views from the deck were spiritual- especially with drink in hand! Super easy to get around town- everything is literally 5 minutes away. Does not feel like you're staying in a "rental". We will definitely be back to stay. Many thanks!

About the owner: Julie and I (and our dogs Lyza and Jake) are both originally from North Carolina and moved to Colorado a couple of years ago. We're both busy professionals but love all that Colorado has to offer (so do Lyza and Jake). We love everything outdoors and particularly enjoy snowsports (Julie enjoys skiing and snowshoeing while I ski, snowboard, nordic, snowshoe, backcountry ski - pretty much everything...). Kevin's favorite sport is fly-fishing for trout and floating Colorado's rivers and running whitewater. So, you can see why we love our home in Breckenridge. We are getting ready to add to the family this year with our first child due in July, so we're also tremendously excited about that! UPDATE: We now have a son - Jackson - who is nearly 2 yrs old and part of the family. (Julie tells me that he can't snowboard off the garage roof like I do for at least a couple of years...)
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
We bought this home because of its location in the middle of Summit County which has every possible outdoor mountain activity within steps or a close drive. However, we had to have tremendous views but yet also be close to the ski slopes, great restaurants, and other conveniences like grocery stores, liquor store, workout facilities. This is absolutely THE HOME for that. Many homes in the area have great views but yet are far away from town (even 5 miles out of town can be a huge hassle during peak weekends with lots of congestion). Other homes are truly ski-in, ski-out, but they have no views, are very cold because they don't get light, and are really unappealing except during ski season. This is our dream home and we've enjoyed creating incredible dreams for our family, friends, and guests who have enjoyed the home.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Interestingly, we never intended to rent our home. However, when Julie got pregnant in late 2008 and found out that she wouldn't be able to ski during the 2008/2009 season, we decided that we'd rent the home (Julie couldn't stand to think of even being at the home and looking out at those ski slopes and not be able to ski them!!!). We had furnished the home as a true home and just as beautifully as we had furnished our Denver home - again, this is a 2nd home and wasn't originally expected to be offered for rental. So that's an important distinction - so many homes (and trust me, we've seen them...) are furnished as rentals first - this is a big difference and you can see it in the style of the home. That being said, our home is generally priced to be very competitive with all homes (even those that we would never even consider staying at). In addition to the furnishing of the home and the views and incredible location, the other thing that you'll get from us is a 'personal touch'. We've rented direct from owners ourselves and have had some great experiences and some others that weren't so great - we get it. We want those that rent our home to truly feel as if they are our personal guests - they are. From our responsiveness to the inquiries we receive, to the questions we ask about what you're looking for in a home and about your group, to answering questions prior to your arrival and helping to give you a 'leg up' on planning certain aspects of your trip, we always want to treat our guests like we ourselves would like to be treated. Its just what we do and how we are! Thanks for having an interest in our very special home! Kevin & Julie
