We enjoy sharing our unique home. It is a recycled home, brought on a barge and set up on a tranquil acreage. It was then remodeled and polished, made cozy and ready for you. It is situated on Vancouver Island - an amazing destination for those who love nature, activites, pleasant folk, and a chance to relax.
We have had several people stay with us as they house hunt in the area as this is a wonderful place in which to retire.
Why the Owner Chose Nanaimo
We love the spaciousness, the views, the birds, the openness, the rural atmosphere. We are also blessed to have delightful communities with their varied attractions so close at hand. Just down the street is Wild Play and the Bungy Zone; the ocean is nearby, there are places to shop, a fabulous walkway in the harbour of Nanaimo, a picturesque park with beach and water fun in Ladysmith - these attractions are only 10 to 20 minutes away.
The Unique Benefits of this Country House / Chateau
Because we love to entertain, and think you might too, we have outfitted the suite with cutlery dishes and wine glasses for a dozen. This also makes it easy for you to simply plunk dirty dishes in the dishwasher and head off in any direction.

Maureen - Who said you need great weather to have a great vacation? We had such a good ten days - with good conversation over a glass of wine and helpful information. Loved the walks out in the country; here everything smells so good. There was nothing blooming at home in Thunder Bay! Yet this is so nice. The Nanaimo Golf Course is in such good shape and there were very friendly 'members' to play with: also enjoyed the meals in their dining room. Enjoyed our day on Salt Spring Island. Ravenwood Acres - After traveling from -33 degrees Saskatchewan to +6 degrees Nanaimo and relaxing for a month in a great home-away-from-home, our first winter trip has been fantastic. The fridge full of goodies, being close to the winery, golf course, shops, etc etc and your great advice, Maureen, has made this trip #1. Thanks again... Was an Excellent Time!
