Mar-Apr Spring Dates Available in Top 4th Floor End Unit Condo
Year Purchased: 2006
Why the Owner Chose Grand Caribbean East & West
Perdido Key is quiet & peaceful, yet there are plenty of things to see & do & lots of restaurants nearby. The island of Perdido Key area is not as commercial or as congested as Panama City or Destin, yet it still has the white sand beaches & emerald water for which the Panhandle is renowned. Without crossing a street, the Gulf is just steps away. Grand Caribbean has excellent ocean views and is family-friendly. And the elevator makes it convenient to get up to their 4th floor condo. David was born & raised in Pensacola. Marilynn grew up in Illinois and had never traveled to the Panhandle of Florida until she was an adult. They vacationed with family in several properties before selecting their Grand Caribbean as their 2nd home. Marilynn now considers their Perdido Key home one of her favorite spots on earth!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
David & Marilynn spend a lot of time enjoying the views from their top end unit L-shaped balcony. They love to entertain family & friends in the dining area which seats 6 at the table & 4 at the breakfast bar. Family & friends often spend the night; there is plenty of room to sleep 8--king bed in master, queen bed in guest room, bunks in hallway, brand new (April 2010) sleeper sofa in living room--being the top floor, there's no worries about hearing footsteps overhead. The Farrows like to take beach chairs their condo is equipped with down to the shore just steps away. From the shore, David goes fishing; Marilynn paints watercolors of local landscapes and wildlife (several of her paintings decorate the walls in the condo). They like to go on sightseeing trips & are always discovering something new about the Perdido Key & nearby Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, & Pensacola areas . For their guests, they've compiled a binder of brochures about their favorite spots--the Big Lagoon State Park, the Naval Aviation Museum, Gulf Islands National Seashore, to name just a few. On occasion, they're able to watch the Blue Angels practice from their balcony.

We had a great experience. Totally relaxing - no stress/ We loved your condo, everything was exactly as described. Very clean and well maintained. Everything worked. You were most helpful during the rnetal process. While there we went on a dophin cruise. I can't remember the name of the place, but it is the marina located directly at the Alabama state line. We also love the Golf Coast Zoo in Alabama which we visited on our way back to Indiana. The zoo, with the close animal encounters was definitely worth it,. Your condo was the best one we have stayed in over the past 4 years. It was our first time in the Panhandle.. Our only regret was that it had to end. We will definitely return - stay at your place if possible - and have already recommended it to friends. Thanks for sharing your second home.

We loved the condo! It was perfect for me, my husband, our three kids and my mother. It was a very family friendly condo. I have a nine month old little girl so I was very pleased to walk in and see outlet covers covering all of the outlets. The board games kept my 11 year old busy and the sand toys kept my 3 year old busy. Tuesday and Wednesday morning we were able to eat breakfast on the balcony and watch the Blue angels practice. It was so peaceful and relaxing, we hated to leave. My husband and I are already planning our vacation for next year and we would love to stay here again!

We loved the condo! We brought 2 young boys and 2 teens and 2 adults and we all slept comfortably and had plenty of space. Everything is in great shape, even have water toys and beach chairs to use! You just go downstairs to the pool and it is an easy walk to the beach. The owners replied quickly to all our questions and even helped us out while we were there in finding a mail/fax place. They were very hospitable!! I would highly reccomend this condo for families wanting a relaxing and fun vacation! Amber C.

We grew up in Pensacola and joined some of our family that still live there. Great balcony and we enjoyed the pool in the afternoons. Short walk to the beach. We really enjoyed running down Johnson's Beach road- great breeze and the Blue Angels were practicing overhead. Our in town family would consider any last minute openings/ cancelations.

All I can say is that this property was perfect! We loved the condo, the location and the people/staff we met. We stayed here for eight weeks and hated to leave. The Farrows have provided a very clean, comfortable space and we felt we were in paradise. We fit right in with the neighbors and it became our home for the duration of our visit. We loved the view from the balcony and literally spent every waking minute we could out there from dawn to late in the evening; watching the sun rise, the Gulf, the lagoon, the Blue Angels, Johnson Beach and the stars at night. The location was perfect for us and as we gathered with friends and family, we relaxed and became rejuvenated. The Farrows provided driving directions for us and personally inspected the property prior to our arrival. It was good to know that they are active owners and took special care to keep their home in perfect order. We have and will recommend this property to all our friends and family.

From our in-condo guestbook: Thank you so much for the wonderful time we had. The condo was great; it had everything we needed. The beach was great the first day we arrived but then with the storms at sea it turned into an oily mess. We did spend a lot of time on the sound at the National Park and had a great time. We have been praying for all the people that have been affected by the oil spill in the Gulf and will continue to do so. We talked to a lot of people that are concerned about the future. May God bless you and your family. Thanks for a great week despite the condition of the beach. Hope to return next year! Go Vols!
