Mountain Cabin is located in historic area of Idaho Springs where Colorado Gold Rush began 150 years ago. It offers a nice mountain/hill view from the front porch and large deck in the back. It is located on a quiet street, a walking distance to historic district and close to local attraction and Loveland Ski Resort.
The cabin has two private bedrooms furnished with a queen size bed and a queen size futon, a bathroom, a living room with a pull-out couch, well-equipped kitchen, a breakfast area and a hallway with a washer and dryer. A large deck offers a beautiful mountain view and a wildlife viewing (we have deer and foxes come very close to the deck). BBQ grill and patio furniture for 6 guests are available on the deck.
Enjoy great skiing in the winter. We are only 25 min to Loveland Ski Resort. Take exciting whitewater rafting trips in the summer. You do not need to drive anywhere: there are at least five white water rafting companies right here on Clear Creek in historic Idaho Springs!
We are only 33 miles from downtown DENVER if you crave amenities of a big city. If you do not feel like driving, take a walk to National Historic District of Idaho Springs with fabulous shopping, dining and sightseeing.
*Visit Historic ARGO Gold Mine & Mill, take "All Aboard!" Journey back in time with a ride on one of Colorado's great narrow gauge railroads. Come and be astounded by the Devil's Gate High Bridge, the beautiful Rocky Mountain views and the engineering marvel that is the Georgetown Loop!
*Pamper yourself with a therapeutic and relaxing treatment at Indian Hot Springs. Enjoy hot mineral springs pool and geothermal cave baths once shared by the Ute and Arapahoe Indians. Enjoy a massage or just relax in our hot springs mineral waters, which have been rated as one of the top ten mineral hot springs in the world. It is truly a unique and unforgettable spa experience.
*The Mount Evans Scenic Byway is America's highest paved automobile road and offers many outdoor activities from sight seeing and bicycling to hiking and fishing. Mount Evans is the road into the sky. Drive from 8700 feet at Idaho Spring where you turn of Interstate 70 to 14,240 feet to the summit and you will pass through three life zones, passing ancient trees, lakes and forest to the land above timberline. It can be 90 degrees in Denver and 40 degrees at the top of Mount Evans. Mountain Goats and Bighorn Sheep will great you as you climb to the top of the world.
*Take a tour of our local microbrewery (Tommy Knocker Mountain Brewery and Pub) to learn how small batches of specialty beers are crafted. Ask your server to explain the legend of the Tommy Knocker and how these spirits were active in Clear Creek's gold mining history.
The property is located right in the very heart of Front Range area attractions. Most are 3-15 minutes away. You will find more information and visitor guides in the house.
We will be happy to provide any additional information and links to view more pictures of the property and area attractions.

Hi Julia, I just wanted to thank you for making our stay in Colorado so much fun. We loved the cabin! We enjoyed being able to walk to town when ever we wanted and of course the beautiful scenery and weather. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your cabin. There was plenty of room and everything was so neat and comfortable. We also enjoyed seeing the wildlife - goat family and Mr. Fox. Thank you also for having such a great washer and dryer. I would definately recommend the is cabin to others.

And thank you Julia! We loved it. We've stayed in Idaho Springs before but this cabin was much nicer. And we liked being able to walk to Beaujos. I especially liked being able to take a break from my work to read books! The kitchen and bathroom were very well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. Tho’ I think we could have slept anywhere after all the exercise and fresh air we got each day. We made use of your maps and tourist info and visited Red Rock Park and Amphitheater, took walks downtown to shop and took a hike that started out up by mineral springs (can’t remember the name of the trail). Thanks again.

We just returned from our two night stay at your cute little house in Idaho Springs. Everything was so clean, the bed was very comfortable and we loved the new linens! I thought I'd miss not having a fireplace but we were very comforatable without it. And I could watch the mountains while I showered!! Thanks, Julia and Anthony!

Have been wanting to get in touch with you to let you know that we enjoyed our stay in your cabin very much. Our stay was challenged a bit by the snowstorm, but since our granddaughters were off from school for 2 days, the storm gave us more time to spend with them. Your toys & videos were a big hit with them. We were impressed with the tender loving care that is so obvious in your cabin, & the bathroom decor made us feel right at home since we spend most of our time at the beach. The snow, then thaw, made keeping the carpet by the door clean a challenge. The bench on the porch is a great place to sit & remove boots in that situation. We were very comfortable in your cabin. It was roomy & clean, & yet cozy too. The bedding & towels were also very comfy & it was obvious they were well laundered. Our granddaughters were thrilled with the toys, the teddy bears, & the selection of videos that they hadn't seen before. After playing in the snow, we would go back to the cabin for hot chocolate & they looked forward to it so much. We had the whole family in for dinner one night & my husband, the chef in the family, was very happy with how complete the kitchen was. The bathroom was roomy & we definitely loved having a tub & shower. So many of the places we've rented in the area have only had a stall shower. We didn't get to use the deck due to the snow, but I can see how inviting it would be on a sunny, spring day. I can still see myself enjoying the sunshine & nature, & maybe a meal out there if the weather permitted. The instructions were complete which was also nice. We've had issues in past stays in other homes with no one telling us what to do with trash, heat, etc. The location of this cabin can't be beat! We would definitely consider renting the cabin again, in fact, we would look forward to it! You promised me that we would have an enjoyable stay & you delivered. Thank you so much...
Owner response:Thank you very much, Linda for a great review. Thank you for leaving the cabin clean and in a good order. We will be happy to accommodate you again and will not charge any cleaning fee. Julia
