Julia, The trip was unforgettable!! The cabin was perfect for our needs, not too big or not too small. If me and my wife ever go back your cabin will be where we will stay. I truly enjoyed everything! Thanks so much!! C&C

Excellent Cabin

If you need a place within 50 miles of anything the Rocky Mountains has to offer then this is the place for you. Cabin was clean, orderly and stocked with everything needed for a carefree vacation. Highly recommended!! Thanks Julia!

Owner response:Dear Chase: Thank you so much for your review. Thank you for leaving the cabin clean and in a good order. We will be happy to accommodate you again. If you stay with us again we will be happy to waive the cleaning fee. We manage a few properties in Colorado including a cottage in Colorado Springs, a cabin by Woodland Park, etc. We have an adorable Victorian cottage in historic Central City/Black Hawk area just 8 miles from Idaho Springs. It is within a walking distance to historic district, restaurants, museums, antique shops, casinos, etc. It is a very romantic place great for a couple or two. We look forward to having you back some time soon. Julia

Hi Julia, I just wanted to thank you for making our stay in Colorado so much fun. We loved the cabin! We enjoyed being able to walk to town when ever we wanted and of course the beautiful scenery and weather. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your cabin. There was plenty of room and everything was so neat and comfortable. We also enjoyed seeing the wildlife - goat family and Mr. Fox. Thank you also for having such a great washer and dryer. I would definately recommend the is cabin to others.

Hi Julia, Thank you very much for everything including our anniversary champagne! Nice place to stay and close to everything. We walked into town. Thank you for all the right furnishings also. We really enjoyed our stay a lot!! Friday was great view day from the back deck and Saturday we had snow flurries almost all day. But, as I said we were close to town and walked in. Wonderful stay!!! Thank you very much, Mike

And thank you Julia! We loved it. We've stayed in Idaho Springs before but this cabin was much nicer. And we liked being able to walk to Beaujos. I especially liked being able to take a break from my work to read books! The kitchen and bathroom were very well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. Tho’ I think we could have slept anywhere after all the exercise and fresh air we got each day. We made use of your maps and tourist info and visited Red Rock Park and Amphitheater, took walks downtown to shop and took a hike that started out up by mineral springs (can’t remember the name of the trail). Thanks again.

We just returned from our two night stay at your cute little house in Idaho Springs. Everything was so clean, the bed was very comfortable and we loved the new linens! I thought I'd miss not having a fireplace but we were very comforatable without it. And I could watch the mountains while I showered!! Thanks, Julia and Anthony!

Have been wanting to get in touch with you to let you know that we enjoyed our stay in your cabin very much. Our stay was challenged a bit by the snowstorm, but since our granddaughters were off from school for 2 days, the storm gave us more time to spend with them. Your toys & videos were a big hit with them. We were impressed with the tender loving care that is so obvious in your cabin, & the bathroom decor made us feel right at home since we spend most of our time at the beach. The snow, then thaw, made keeping the carpet by the door clean a challenge. The bench on the porch is a great place to sit & remove boots in that situation. We were very comfortable in your cabin. It was roomy & clean, & yet cozy too. The bedding & towels were also very comfy & it was obvious they were well laundered. Our granddaughters were thrilled with the toys, the teddy bears, & the selection of videos that they hadn't seen before. After playing in the snow, we would go back to the cabin for hot chocolate & they looked forward to it so much. We had the whole family in for dinner one night & my husband, the chef in the family, was very happy with how complete the kitchen was. The bathroom was roomy & we definitely loved having a tub & shower. So many of the places we've rented in the area have only had a stall shower. We didn't get to use the deck due to the snow, but I can see how inviting it would be on a sunny, spring day. I can still see myself enjoying the sunshine & nature, & maybe a meal out there if the weather permitted. The instructions were complete which was also nice. We've had issues in past stays in other homes with no one telling us what to do with trash, heat, etc. The location of this cabin can't be beat! We would definitely consider renting the cabin again, in fact, we would look forward to it! You promised me that we would have an enjoyable stay & you delivered. Thank you so much...

Owner response:Thank you very much, Linda for a great review. Thank you for leaving the cabin clean and in a good order. We will be happy to accommodate you again and will not charge any cleaning fee. Julia

Idaho Springs is an awesome town and the cabin was perfect! It was easy to find, had nice off-street parking, friendly neighbors and was super-cozy. The deck out back was great for the dog to hang out on, and for us humans to enjoy a cup of coffee while watching the wildlife only a few feet away! The owners were great to rent from and made us feel right at home at the cabin! We definitely recommend it highly!!

We've enjoyed our stay at the cabin and especially appreciate how clean everything is. Thank you for letting us stay. The cabin was very cozy. Saw lots of wildlife( 14 longhorn sheep + more). Enjoyed beautiful Colorado scenery and White Water Rafting on Clear Creek - exciting whitewater adventure. Everything was great! Thanks again

We had a great time. We loved Beaujo's pizza place and the coffee shop across the street from Beaujo's. We went to Pike's Peak, Echo Lake, Winter Park and Silver Dollar Lake off of the Guanella Pass in Georgetown. We also went to the Argo Gold Mine. We ate at the Sushi Den in Denver which was fantastic. We went fishing on the Colorado River which our friend caught a few brown trout. We tried panning for gold in Chicago Creek and searching with a metal detector in nearby hills but had no luck in the mining for Gold Expedition. We saw elk, deer and a porcupine. We saw so much and your place was a central location for us to access these things. The house was very cozy and convenient inside. The scenery is awesome from the porch in the morning. Especially with the sun shining on the porch to help keep you warm. I really enjoyed the mornings there. Very relaxing and beautiful. Your neighbor to the south was kind enough to loan us some jumper cables for our friend's truck. I am a very picky person for cleanliness due to my upbringing. I was pleased at the cleanliness of the floors. Bed sheets and comforter were just to my taste and very snuggly. My husband and I frequently rent vacation homes or condos. This was our first time using vrbo. We were very happy with our stay. I really appreciate how timely you handled our rental agreement and were able to get us in there at the last minute. You are very friendly and were very helpful. I really liked that you provided linens, soaps, garbage bags, some paper products, spices and other useful items that gave it a special touch. I loved the chocolates, Loved looking out the bathroom window while showering. The decor is very pleasant. Thank you so much, Ronda

The stay at your place was great - I believe my husband left a comment on the table when we left. We travelled with our married daughter and husband who lived in Boulder. It was nice to be close to the city, yet close to the activities we wanted to enjoy for the time we were there. We found Idaho Springs an enjoyable town with great food and close to a wide variety of activities. We were able to use your place as a jumping off point to climb mountains and enjoy other touristy activities. The house was a comfortable place to stay, clean and with good amenities. We're keeping it on our list as a possibility for another trip to the area. Thanks for everything!
