We are a new vacation home! We are very excited to welcome guests to our place in Montreal. Let the festival season begin!
L'Esplanade suite reflects the neighborhood of Mile End. Funky, fun and warm. Mix of old & new with lots of comfort. Situated on 2nd floor on south facing triplex on a quiet residential street. Completely furnished. All cleaning products are biodegradable and special energy efficient combo washer and dryer available for use.

Access to all the fun in Montreal. Public transport by bus or metro, 5 minutes. Main street of Park avenue is close by with shops and restaurants. We are also a few steps away from the famous St. Viateur bagel shops. Minutes to the Mont Royal Park. Excellent base to explore Montréal. Cross street is Bernard, take a look at mapquest using the postal code of H2T 3A2.

  • I have visited Montreal several times and have fallen in love with it, in particular with the Mile End neighbourhood. I cannot imagine why anyone would stay downtown or anywhere else in the city, as Mile End is uniquely suited to provide the flavour of Montreal with a wonderful diversity of restaurants, shops, and other amenities while still being a safe, residential area. It is easy to access public transit and is also an inexpensive cab ride to many of the sights. We prefer to walk, and Mont Royal Park, the Plateau, Outremont, and other such favourites are within a comfortable walking range. The apartment is lovely- comfortable, spotlessly clean, and well-provisioned. The owner lives downstairs and was happy to respond to any small concerns we had (e.g. we mentioned that the DVD player was not working. Within hours, a replacement appeared.) She is also happy to make recommendations about sights to see and places to eat. Senzala is a lovely Brazilian restaurant just on the corner- wonderful for large portions of well-prepared breakfasts and dinners. Thailande is about two blocks away- great flavours and attentive service. Have a coffee at Olympico, especially on the terrace on a nice day. A few blocks in the other direction takes you to Chesky's Bakery (dangerously delicious pastries and cookies), the best bagels from the St. Viateur bagel shop, then a little further on to Lester's, with what we think is the best smoked meat sandwich in the city. Not just for non-meat eaters, a must try is Aux Vivres, a wonderful vegetarian/vegan restaurant a short walk away down St-Laurent. We rented a car at Enterprise, again just a few blocks down St-Laurent. This location opens at 7:30, making it very convenient for getting a good start on our day trip.

  • We had a wonderful stay at your lovely apartment. We loved the convenient location, the interesting neighborhood, the great bagels and other foods we found. The apartment was so comfortable and clean and the parking was easy. Since our daughter is just starting her first year of university, we look forward to many more visits to Montreal and you will be our first choice for accommodations every time!
