We enjoyed this house thoroughly. For us, the fireplace and hot tub were the highlights, but the whole house is beautiful, cozy, and comfortable. There were two couples in our group and two dogs, and everyone had enough space. I would recommend this to anyone. It was a great value, too.

We had a fantastic time at the house!! It met and exceeded all of our expectations. The hot tub was amazing at night overlooking the river...our favorite part of the house. The house was very clean and not that far away from Douglas/Saugatuck. Would highly recommend this place to my friends. Chris

We really enjoyed our stay at this wooded retreat! We loved the quiet, with only the sounds of the birds or acorns falling from the trees. Our dog loved it too! Well stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, shiny clean bathroom, cozy fireplace. There is so much to do within a short drive. We highly recommend Saugatuck Dunes State Park for a great hike in the woods opening up to the beautiful view of the lake! Oval Beach is amazing too, although no dogs allowed.

Upon arrival, could not decide what to do first! The hot tub outside in nature with a cool breeze overlooking the Kalamazoo River...just amazing! The cozy fireplace at night, the swings out front, and my very favorite for cold weather...heated mattress which each person can control on their side of the bed! Perfect romantic get-a-way. Thanks!

We loved the rustic setting of this home! It's set back in the woods on the Kalamazoo River and could not be more peaceful. The location is great as well, its a 5 min ride into downtown Saugatuck where there's plenty of shopping and restaurants. The home is very clean and well-kept and the kitchen provides everything you need.

My husband and I stayed here the week prior to Christmas...just the two of us so we never used the second bedroom or bath. It snowed and the view from the back (and the hot tub) was especially beautiful. We had the fireplace burning whenever we were at the house which enhanced the cosy winter feeling. The house was warm even with the large windows so we never needed our heavy clothes indoors. We visited Douglas, ate at the Everyday People Cafe and had a wonderful experience. All appliances worked, kitchen was fully stocked with pots, pans and dishes. We highly recommend the house and the relaxing environment.

A remote location that is a short drive to Saugatuck. The accomodations were first rate and the scenery was magnificent. After a day of activities at the lake and in town, I looked forward to returning "home" to enjoy the peace and quiet - along with watching the wildlife in action.

This was such a unique setup in a very quiet, serene location. It's only about a 5-10 minute drive to Saugatuck/Douglas from the house. I can't tell you how nice it is sitting in the hot tub right overlooking the river. Everything was neat & clean and even though we didn't have any, this place had an amazing room for kids to play in. I highly recommend going to Everyday People Cafe for dinner while you are there. They have a cheese plate with cheeses that are locally made that is insane! The only complain I have of this place is that it caused my girlfriend and I some separation anxiety when we had to leave :)

Our stay at Harmony River House was ideal. The house is secluded in the woods with a spectacular view of the river. It's also conveniently close to Saugatuck. We'll definitely return for another Winter holiday getaway next year. This vacaction house would be ideal in any season.

This place was great, we loved it. We went as a couple even though there is another bedroom with full bathroom that we didn't even use. The location was beautiful, hot tub was amazing and the amenities were great. The home has great feel to it, very modern yet so cabin like. Great getaway for any couple. Dog friendly too.

Spent a great fall weekend at Harmony River House 10/17-20, 2009. Great stocked kitchen, great bedding. The setting is peaceful and the hot tub is great! It's hard to find a dog friendly property and we found the whole town of Saugatuck dog-friendly. Some merchants even put out dog biscuits and water bowls. Only suggestion is to bring more DVD movies in case you've already watched the ones provided. Loved the whole experience

I have to say that my friends and I went in the spring and really LOVED the River House. We were looking for a relaxing weekend trip and this trip really hit the spot. There is a nice mix of chic sophistication and cabin-in-the-woods type of feel and everything (especially the bathroom and kitchen:P) was very clean- so important to me! I loved the hot tub overlooking both the forest and river...so gorgeous. Also we did a lot of cooking and all the kitchen supplies we needed were there! I would love to come back with my family for a longer period of time. This is a great place for friends or for families. The town is also nearby and very cute...lots of fun and artsy shops. The owners are also very accommodating and easy to work with. Thanks for a great weekend!

I LOVE this place!! What a great location--secluded yet close enough to downtown Saugatuck and Oval Beach..... This is the most beautiful scenery I've ever had in this area--panoramic views of the river and woods. Great screened in porch and outdoor deck where you can sit and feel you are part of nature...not to mention quiet and peaceful. I will definitely return!
