The Whiskey Springs cabin was a wonderful home base for our multi-generational vacation. We had 3 grandparents (including my husband's divorced parents and his step-mom), my husband and myself, a pair of teenage girls and our 5 year old son. We took the loft area with the kids and the grandparents slept in the downstairs bedroom and on the aerobed. Plenty of private areas when needed. Furniture very comfortable. Kitchen nicely outfitted. Cabin was immaculate. Cooler very helpful to pack lunch into park. Family was pleased with satellite TV and wi-fi. The washer and dryer are full sized, which is not often the case with vacation condos/rentals. The only downside was that there isn't really an area where everyone can sit down to eat at once, but that was pretty evident from the discription and pictures on the listing. Everyone agreed that this was a great choice.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Loved the cabin! We stayed at a privately owned place on our trip to NYC last summer and now its the only way we prefer to travel and stay at wonderful places like this. Having more room for the kids is awesome! We loved being able to use the cooler on our trips into yellowstone, it saved us money and was easier than trying to find a cold drink on the road. Plus being able to wash our clothes was a blessing! We really enjoyed eating at Pete's Pizza and Pasta - yummy pizza and pastas! Loved the wood upstairs-very well done and the dishes are pretty and go well with the cabin. Having dish network with a dvr was great - nice to come back and watch something I actually like at bedtime. We saw a black bear w/ two cubs, a grizzly bear, tons of elk & bison, the young bald eagle(6 miles in), deer, a few osprey, lots of birds, a mountain cottontail w/huge cute feet. Loved it here! The Tyson's Advice to new guests if staying here in summer. *Buy "Off" the mosquitos should be the state bird here. *Use the blue cooler in the laundry room for your day trips. P.S. Thanks for the laundry soap and dryer sheets.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful cabin with us. Things we loved: -it was clean(so nice) -The upstairs loft which was perfect for the kids. They had a special hide-a-way and the parents(us) had space too. -Your suggestion to go whitewater rafting. Our trip on the Gallatin was a real highlight! Thanks again! Thank you for sharing your cozy cabin with us. What a wonderful way to bring in the New Year! Yellowstone is truly a winter wonderland. We had a great time snowmobiling for three days. The weather cleared up a bit for us to bag Two Top. There is nothing more scenic than Two Top on a blue-sky day. The snow covered trees looked like they belonged in who-ville (the grinch). The cabin was lovely and quaint. Everything was clean and organized. Our family enjoyed our stay. The games were nice! Also, the WiFi was a nice touch. I wish we could have stayed longer than 4 days! Our only complaint is that there was no cat. We heard so much about one from other entries! But other than the lack of a feline companion, our stay was most enjoyable. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary on the 26th. There is no more picturesque place than Yellowstone to have done it. Your home was the perfect base for our explorations. We were especially impressed by the beautiful crockery & all the little things you've done to make our stay convenient,(washing powder,spices,games for kids) making us feel at home. Our stay here was wonderful! Easy to get to the Park, nice neighbors, Newsome the cat! All Great! Oh, and Dish TV! Never saw that coming. I couldn't find matches and no doubt just overlooked them, but I put a box in the kitchen drawer just in case. Someone left their charcoal bag in the grill so we used it and left ours.
