Our family wanted to get away from it all and we couldn't have chosen a better place!!! The house was unbelievable beautiful and spacious, reminiscent of a large southern plantation home. The beds were so cozy it was hard to make our way out to the beautiful balcony in the morning for coffee and to feed the awesome ducks our children named during our stay. We enjoyed fishing on and off shore the boat being there was an added surprise especially to our boys who couldn’t seem to stay off the water. All we needed to do was unpack our cloths we brought supplies like towels and such that never left our truck, everything we could have needed was there and then some. We spent days by the pond and even at the local pool which was minutes away on the bike trial and nights by the fire enjoying the scenic back patio area. This vacation was one for the books we plan on visiting many more time!

we look for a home big enough for families, freinds and children for Thanksgiving, we i saw this home i called right away, we went there on a wednesday, and the other family members came on thursday, they enjoy this beautiful house so much, that said if we go away this summer, they want to go back there, we were so amazed with the house, because it is well furnished, and we didn't really have to bring anything to cook in, it was all there, i recomended if you want a wonderful place to stay when you in PA, book this home, you won't be sorry

We had a wonderful time relaxing, going for drives to the beautiful PA Grand Canyon and generally enjoying our stay. The house is fascinating and very comfortable, clean and well cared for. We enjoyed feeding the ducks and walking around the pond. It is very private and yet only a short distance from downtown Coudersport. This house is a good bet if you want to get away from it all!

Our family spent three nights at Othmer Pond in early May. The accommodations were very comfortable for the ten of us and we enjoyed spending time in Coudersport, especially at John and Olga's restaurant and art gallery in town.

I would highly recommend the Othmer Pond Estate. When we weren't fishing the multitude of stocked and native streams, we had a great time walking the property, feeding the ducks, and enjoying the huge patio, grill, and firepit at night. It was a perfect escape to relax and get away. We can't wait to return. Also, I read some other reviews about poor cell reception. I have Verizon and had no problems at all. You can't go wrong at this property.

As soon as you cross the bridge onto the property you can feel the peaceful atmosphere enfold you. The house has a wonderful homey presence made even warmer by the pellet stove in the living room. The dining room encourages guests to stay at the table and chat for hours. Comfortable beds, complete kitchen, modern bathrooms. Add to this the entertaining ducks and beautiful grounds - what more could you want? Can't wait to go back!

We had our annual mother-daughter weekend here and it was wonderful. The house is very comfortable, the area is beautiful, and I had so much fun feeding and watching the ducks. Even the though it was only early spring, the grounds were still pretty, and thanks to some early warm weather, we were about to spend a relaxing afternoon reading on the back patio.

I would highly recommend Greg's mountain estate as a place for families to gather and enjoy the nearby ski resort, Denton Hill. Within ten minutes you can be on the slopes and enjoying the day. After a long day of skiing, you can come back to a warm, cozy home where there is seating for all at the large dining room table, a place to chill-out in the den, and comfortable beds for those who are ready to recharge and sharpen the saw for the following day. Greg was very pleasant to work with and was available whenever I needed to reach him.

Beautiful house it was perfect for my family from Doha/NYC/Arizona to come and stay the weekend before X-Mas. The house was perfect, we had at least 20 people, which the house accommodated us perfectly. The cozy fireplace and not too mention we cooked a big X-Mas dinner and had all the dishes without bringing our own. We loved watching the sow fall by the cozy fireplace. Perfect get away from NYC.

A lovely home, three couples w/kids and dogs stayed very comfortably for New Year's weekend. Close to town for going in and getting supplies, yet you feel like you have tons of room all to yourself just for hiking around.

We had my daughter's wedding here on Oct. 3, 2009. It was a beautiful place for a wedding! Greg was more than willing to help out in any way he could and helped make our day perfect! The house is beautiful and had everything we needed right down to an iron & ironing board! No house phone, and not very good cell phone reception, but it's a "get away" right? I hope to come back for another stay! The Othmer house is a beautiful piece of local history.

What a beautiful place!! We fell upon this estate online while looking for a place to stay so that we could visit our grandmother. She has lived in the Potter County area for 30+ years. We all had a wonderful time. The kids said it was the "best vacation they ever had"! We enjoyed feeding the ducks, fishing, going out on the boat, hiking, and being together in absolutely gorgeous surroundings. We loved the age and history of the house. I highly recommend Othmer Pond and can't wait for another visit.

We had our family reunion at this historic estate in August. The location is beautiful. The ducks provided daily entertainment. Fishing in the pond(catch and release) and was great fun. For our nonfishers, rowing across the gentle waters provided peace and solitude. Bonfires at night with smores and great laughs! The kitchen is modern and very adequate for cooking. There was plenty of space to sleep our group of 11. I highly recommend this property.

We stayed at this home for a little over a week. The house its beautiful and lots of space in and out. But we would not come back or enjoyed our stay. Out of the 12 days we stay here at at least 7 days, there were people working very close the house. At times It would frighten me to walk outside with my cup of coffee and see this strange topless man working on the back of the house. It was not relaxing at all. I mean the main reason why we go on vacation to the country its because we want privacy and relaxing, we didn't get that. At one time the worker was there until 8pm, maybe it was just me but it was spooky to me, being that we have 3 small children I felt I was always on guard, making sure they did not get in his way or get hurt. But the worst was the last day that we were there, our agreement contract stated we could check out at 1pm, Again being that we have little children its always hairy to make out before noon. Well Chris the cleaning lady just walk in around 10am, pull out the vacuum and started cleaning. It was just not very welcoming or relaxing or private. But this house is beautiful. Very disappointed.

Sometimes when you're anticipating something for awhile (as we did with our trip), there is a letdown -- it looks better than it is. This is one instance where the opposite was true. The house, the lake, the area is just amazing! We hiked, fished, played tennis, rowed, lounged by the fire, and most of all relaxed and enjoyed, feeling very much at home. The place was clean, very comfortable, and perfect for Easter dinner and board games to follow. And, even though the weather was a little bit chilly, we were able to start a nice warm fire in the pit and sit outside under the beautiful stars. The baby ducks were adorable, and took to following my daughter around like a mother duck. For a little girl that doesn't like being away from home, she's already asking when we can return. Actually, the rest of us are asking the same question!

We had a beautiful, relaxing weekend away with friends and are already planning our next trip. Our dog loved the property & even swam in the sub-zero pond (don't forget to bring some extra towels for your dog!). The house/property & amenities were wonderful. We look forward to coming back & enjoying some croquet & lawn games!

What a beautiful place. We wanted a weekend of peace and quiet and we got it! We took our teenage kids and even they liked it! Even though it was cold, we explored the trails, fed the ducks and had a nice fire outside. Can't wait to come back! Just a note, go by Greg's directions. Don't trust the GPS!

We visited othmer pond estate for a combination snowmobile & scrapbook weekend. The access to the snowmobile trail system was great! The dining room was spacious for the scrapbookers. There was plenty of living & sleeping space, even with all of our stuff we brought. The beds were comfortable, baths were clean. Kitchen had all the appliances to prepare our meals and clean up afterwards. This was a very relaxing place to make our home base while in the beautiful Northern PA forest.

We really enjoyed our time here. It is a beautiful, older home loaded with character. It is a gem! The beds are very comfortable. Bathrooms are very nice. There's quality furnishings. The kitchen is reasonably stocked. (You may need additional bakeware if you are doing oven meals for a larger group.) The setting is wonderful, although we didn't get to enjoy the outdoors to its fullest because it rained most of the time. The ducks provided entertainment and they seemed to know they'd get corn(which was supplied) if they'd come to the front door. Thanks to the owner, Greg, for making this home available!

We stayed at the Othmer House this past weekend. The foliage was spectacular. My children loved taking the boat out on the pond and feeding the ducks. It is a very special place and we were all able to relax very easily there! We highly recommend a visit!

Our party of 8 adults fit comfortably in this house with room to spare. We were pleasantly surprised when we drove onto the property, it is a glorious place, the pond, the quietness and the understated elegance are indescribable. We all wished we were staying more than one night.

A pretty and relaxing setting offering a large, upscale home in a charming small town community. The pond and surrounding area was beautiful (bring your walking shoes) and we loved being able to walk out the front door and fish in privacy. The kitchen was reasonably equipped. The bedding/linens was lovely quality and bathroom renovations were very high end. It was a rare treat to be able to bring our dogs, who also loved the pond.

For a group of 20, this house was perfect! We had a great time using the pond for fishing, feeding the ducks, and the owner was great about getting us local information. The walking trail around the property was very easy to access and great for a lil stroll in the woods. All the rooms were very comfortable and the showers have been nicely renovated. If you're looking for a quiet get away, i would recommend this house.
