The kids will also enjoy a wide variety of toys including dolls, Legos and much more. Mom and Dad will enjoy relaxing on the covered front porch, watching the waterfront activity or grilling a family picnic in the private back yard. New London Harbor has ferry boats coming and going, sailboats galore and even an occasional submarine, complete with sailors standing on deck.

Second floor: three bedrooms - (two spacious queen rooms with ceiling fans, one double), new bathroom with claw foot tub
Third floor: large fourth bedroom (sleeps four - one queen and two twin beds) AND large (23' by 19') family activity room with cathedral ceiling (w/ twin bed and room for sleeping bags)
COMPLETELY FURNISHED FOR VACATION FUN
The house is completely furnished with linens, towels, paper products, cooking utensils, and laundry products. The first floor laundry room has a large load washer and dryer. In the private, fenced back yard you'll find lawn chairs, dining table and chairs, and a gas grill. We even supply beach chairs, umbrella, cooler and beach toys!
BRING THE WHOLE CREW
Besides the 4 bedrooms sleeping 10, an additional single bed is available in the family activity room, so 11 persons can be accommodated in beds. Plus, on the first floor there is a comfortable Broyhill queen-size sleeper sofa. For a still larger group, we have a rollaway and inflatable and lots of room to accommodate them. For babies, we have available a crib, high chair, and stroller.
SIT AND ENJOY THE VIEWS
Watch the exciting comings and goings in the harbor from your windows or porch. The beautiful US Coast Guard tall ship "Eagle" has its home dock just below. Submarines go by almost daily from the US Navy sub base on the opposite shore. Ferries to Long Island and Block Island and lobster boats, fishing boats and sailboats come and go to the marinas a block away. Dock your own boat, within a minute's walk, there at a transient slip. The summer of 2009 will bring visits to New London by giant cruise ships gliding serenely past.
PARK THE CAR AND WALK
Within a 5 minute walk you can be at the New London town beach (Green's Harbor) with parking, lifeguard, grassy playground and picnic tables. This beach is especially good for small children as the sand is clean and the waves are small. The family can also walk to Fred's Shanty - a real New England Clam Bar - as well as several other restaurants, Giuliana's Gelato (best in CT), Michael's Dairy Ice Cream, a cafe/market and a wine/package store. Also enjoy shopping and eating at Saeed's International Market within walking distance.
RIDE BIKES OR DRIVE
With a 3 minute drive, you can be at our private attended beach (Guthrie Beach) on the Long Island Sound. This has larger waves and a swimming and diving platform. Just down the street another half mile is beautiful Ocean Beach Park with Connecticut's longest white sand beach and boardwalk, arcade, food, mini golf, children's rides, Olympic-sized pool, nature trails and a children's splash park. Nearby is the historic Lighthouse Inn with formal dining and also pub fare. A day spa and salon are also at the Inn if you feel like being pampered. Bike riding is easy along New London's shaded quiet streets. Launch a kayak and enjoy miles of protected, quiet water in the Thames River or nearby coastal waterways.
MORE ATTRACTIONS NEARBY
Within a half-hour drive are three giant casinos, Mohegan Sun, MGM Grand and Foxwoods with unlimited food and entertainment. The family will LOVE the new Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville at the Mohegan! Also visit the U.S. Coast Guard Academy or the Navy Submarine Base with a great free submarine museum. Downtown New London, about one mile away, has art galleries, restaurants, the ferry terminal to Long Island and Block Island and the train station with regular service to New York and Boston. New London's Fort Trumbull State Park has a beautifully restored waterfront Civil War era fort with walking trails. At Captain Scott's Lobster Dock nearby, you can dine outside on fresh seafood sitting at picnic tables as you watch the lobster boats come in with their catch.
SAILFEST - THE SUMMER FESTIVAL
The week after the 4th of July is Sailfest time. This three day event is one of the biggest summer festivals in Connecticut. You'll be able to easily get to the festival venues from the house and you'll watch the giant fireworks display over the harbor from your porch.

On behalf of the US Coast Guard Academy Class of '99, we were very impressed with the cleanliness, charm, and location of this warm home. This house enabled friends to see each other and catch up on our lives while sharing some old-time laughs. Speaking of which, I really dig your "Live, Love, Laugh" theme. Thank you very much and we will certainly consider this comfortable home again! Cheers!

Randy and Carolyn, Thank you so much for allowing us to stay here. We had a great time! New London was everything I imagined and more. The house accommodated all of us comfortably and had plenty of room to sit, talk, and relax. We enjoyed the walks in the neighborhood and all this area had to offer. It was so great to have 8 adults and two children come together under one roof for such a special occasion as a wedding! The beds were comfortable and the temperature perfect for a fabulous weekend. Thanks so much.

Randy and Carolyn, Thank you so much for letting us stay in your beautiful house! Your living room was a perfect place to play "Pin the Junk on the Hunk! Thanks for the memories!

Thank you so much for letting us stay here. My family enjoyed it and my cousin says that "This is the best vacation EVER!" I loved the touch screen arcade game and was glued to the game Wild Side. Sorry I beat some of your high scores! All in all, this is something my family is going to remember for a very long time. The Picard Family (especially from the 11 year old girl who beat your scores on Wild Side)

We loved Guthrie Beach and Michael's Dairy. The close proximity to Mystic and the Navy base was great. The 3rd floor had tons of toys for the 7 kids in attendance. There's also a great kids park behind Michael's Dairy. Great big house for a great time!
Positive Rating
Our family reunion could not have been held in a better place! The house had everything plus that we needed. The adults loved the 3rd floor as much as the kids. Nights on the porch talking about fond memories were the best! Thanks for a great house ! Loved Fred's Shanty!
Positive Rating
Your house is a great rental. It is a perfect location, quiet neighborhood, close to everything and the house itself has everything anyone would ever need. The 3rd floor is the best! I read the diary of past renters and agree with them entirely. We as a family were either upstairs playing with the kids on the 3rd floor or relaxing on the porch. We West Coast visitors don't really have porches so we enjoyed sitting on the front porch visiting, watching, reading, relaxing etc.

Randy and Carolyn, Great place - want to redo my house?!! Enjoyed the area; always good biking here! Thanks!
