Wonderful Thanksgiving Setting

Our family returned from a lovely Thanksgiving vacation at this beautiful retreat and we all considered ourselves very lucky to have stayed in this wonderful spot. My husband, brother and his wife, two daughters, one son in law and our 8 month granddaughter spent 7 great nights here and my husband's sister spent seven days. The photo's don't begin to do justice to this place. We cooked a huge Thanksgiving dinner in the well equipped kitchen and used the outdoor grill several nights. We enjoyed the great neighborhood, ocean life, beach and of course the views. It was a great spot for us to gather from three states and reconnect with each other. On Thanksgiving morning, a beautiful double rainbow arched overhead and ended at the beach below and it seemed to fit the moment and place perfectly. The bedrooms (two of them with ocean views) bathrooms and living areas are all very well appointed and we greatly appreciated (and used) the washer and dryer. Houses on either side of this house were occupied during our visit and the occupants were quite envious of us. We want to thank the owners for sharing this beautiful spot.

Great Family Vacation Home

My extended family (grandparents, parents, sister/husband/sixteen month old and myself/husband/6 month old) just returned from a week long vacation at this home. It was perfect for the young children with plenty of open space to explore and spend time as a family all in one room. The furniture has been upgraded since the photos (as of July 2011) and it is ever better. Below the outside deck there is a small sand area that was perfect for the 16 month old - we didn't need to pack up all the gear and walk to the nearby beach to play in the sand. It was the right size for her to play with all the conveniences of being at the home still. The parking was very ample - we were able to fit a sedan, a suburban and a full size pickup truck with room to remain. Pleasure Point (with a small store) is a short 10 minute walk away and was invaluable for last minute items. Our only area for improvement was that the knives in the kitchen were not the best. We ate in every meal and wished that we brought our own. Other than that we enjoyed every moment of the rental. The views are incredible and worth every dollar. Enjoy!

Ocean view get away

This vacation home exceeded my expectations. Lovely remodeled house much appreciated high-end kitchen and bathrooms. MOST OF ALL was the exceptional 180 degree ocean view panorama...made it so easy to view approaching otters and sail boats...lovely sunsets and wonderful patio to entertain our children and grandchildren.

Beautiful Venue for Anniversary Celebration

We chose this house for our 20 year anniversary. We renewed our vows here, had a wonderful party and with 4 bedrooms, there was room for all our out of town guests. The showers are fantastic. The views are breathtaking, a fabulous backdrop for our ceremony. Totally remodeled, very clean, a new staircase has been added to access the beach below the rocks. Quiet, relaxing, easy access to local sites, restaurants, grocery stores, etc. Tara was great to work with. I will definately come back.

Nice and Easy

Group of several friends stayed in this great house. Lucky with great weather, able to bbq on the patio (don't expect much from the gas grill but the charcoal works great), spend time on the beach (which is the back yard), easy trip to the docks for guided fishing trip, and another day dedicated to hiking Big Sur (about hour drive away). The house itself is top shelf and the location can't be better. Hope we can make another trip out to stay. Thanks.

OK...the outside door directly to the shower is AWESOME. haha. No more tracking sand into the house. I brought my team of engineers down to this house from Palo Alto and they all loved it. The house is spotless, the wireless is nice and fast, and the locale is killer. I will definitely consider this house as a first choice the next time we consider an offsite.

Don't go by these pictures, it is all new. They did a wonderful job decorating and remodeling this oceanfront home. Our stay was great and you could walk to Capitolia for restaurants. Grocery stores within a mile or so to cook in this great kitchen.The surfers were all over to watch, also sea otters, and we even saw a whale. We needed another remote and had it the same day. You can easily go through the pavers on the rocks to the ocean. Quiet neighborhood and great for walking. Thanks for the relaxing stay. If you are lucky enough to stay here, please take care of it like you would want your home taken care of. We looked at other houses we were going to rent and we thought this was the best location directly on the ocean. Tara was very sweet to deal with. Thank you.....
