Accommodations: Cottage, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1.5 Baths (Sleeps 8-10)
Our cottage is a great family getaway. Highlights are the flat yard, shallow beach, and a panoramic view of the lake. There are two kayaks, a sailboat, canoe, and paddleboat for fun on the water.
The winterized cottage features a cozy living room with fireplace and TV, and a dining area that has a great view of the yard and lake.
There are six beds in three bedrooms, a sleeper sofa in the living room and a couch on the enclosed porch providing plenty of sleeping options. One bathroom has a tub and shower and there's unlimited hot water. The half bath means there's never a line for the toilet.
The kitchen is well equipped for constant cooking. There's a large fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, blender, and new cookware.

The Unique Benefits at this Cottage
The beach is unique because it is so shallow with a 100% clean sandy bottom. It is a great place to learn to swim. The north-facing view offers a beatiful panorama.
The property has a flat grassy yard which is unusual for lakefront properties and ensures that kids have room to play. The cottage is one story with just a few steps in and out, making it great for little kids or elderly guests.
We're less than two hours from Boston too, so our hope is that families will rent for a week in the summer and then come up for a few weekends or a ski week in the winter.
One final feature worth mentioning is that there are five cottages on this beach that can be rented in the summer, making this a great location to organize a vacation for multiple households.
Owner's Map of Newbury
We are a family of four; Chris, Bridget, Ian(7) and Sean(4). We bought the cottage in the fall of 2007 because Chris had vacationed on this beach all his life and couldn't resist the opportunity. Now, in addition to sailing and swimming in summer, we're discovering hiking, sledding, skiiing, even ice sailing in the fall, winter, and spring. There's always something fun to do outdoors! If you have to stay indoors, it is nice and cozy with a great view.
