Hillside setting for this new log home gives you a wonderful view of the woods, lake and Blue Ridge Mts. Large living/dining area, with stone fireplace (gas logs). Many windows and skylights give you wooded views out every window. Large porch with swing, iron furniture, table and chairs, and electric grill overlooks the lake and Mts.Fans in every room, cool mountain breezes make this place marvelous in the summer-very cool and comfortable.

Bedrooms are cozy and charming. Cabin decorated with quilts, handmade weavings, art and pottery/built in bookshelf with books for all to brouse. Loft area perfect for children with games and toys. Nearby is the famous Grandfather Mountain, with trails for hiking. Blowing Rock's shops, gardens and restaurants are nearby. Antique shops, the Mast General Store, and the lure of hiking in the Blue Ridge, driving on the parkway, gem mining, visiting Moses Cone State Park and craft center, walking around the many lakes in the region, not to mention the winter sports, make this vacation spot a must.

Skiing is available at Hawksnest Ski Resort, 1 1/2 miles away, (golf in the summer months ), Beech Mt., and Sugar Mt., as well as tubing in the area. Tweetsie Railroad near by. Temps in summer in 60s and 70s. Great cool weather.

Come enjoy our vacation home, for a relaxing ,entertaining get-a-way. Beds are queen, double, and queen futon in loft. Please ask for ROCKS and DIAMONDS (the name of our cabin.) We accept small dogs only. We reserve right to not rent to some pet owners, let us know about your dog.
