Located on a quiet little alley not far from the Southernmost Point in the Uptown part of Key West, you will find Koi House, a unique and very private residential compound with its own meandering pond filled with Koi fish, a huge courtyard and a Japanese garden with gazebos.
The Courtyard: The first thing you will see when you come through the front gate of this property is a fountain in the middle of a very large tiled courtyard with not one, but two gazebos. Then there’s the large koi pond that gives this house its name. A leisurely walk through the Japanese garden is the perfect way to start your day in paradise. There is a sense of tranquility and grace to this home that will make your stay in Key West something you’ll remember for a very long time.
The Main House: The living room has glass walls on two sides, wide open to the pool on one side and the courtyard on the other. And when you want fresh air, those glass walls slide away into the walls; it’s as if you are sitting in a breezy tropical paradise in your own living room. The kitchen is completely equipped and will satisfy the needs of the most demanding chef. The dining area is on the porch overlooking the pool. Three of the bedrooms are in the main house, one downstairs and two more upstairs.
The Guest House: The two largest bedrooms are in the guesthouse, one upstairs and the other downstairs. Both bedrooms have a balcony overlooking the courtyard and Koi pond.
The Pool & Pool House: The pool is heated by solar panels. There is a pool house with its own bathroom and shower, and a whimsical clawfoot tub and shower right by the pool. And it’s all very private.
Amenities: Wireless high-speed Internet access is included throughout the compound. There is also a desktop computer available for your use. Maid and/or linen service is available on a daily or weekly basis at additional cost. Private chefs are available, full time, part time or for special events.
