We call our house Casa Paraiso, or Paradise House. This newly constructed golf course house is part of a gated community at La Ventana del Mar, in San Felipe, Norte Baja. Only 2 hours drive from the border town of Mexicali or 4.5 hours drive from San Diego, California.

See breathtaking sunrises over the Sea of Cortez, enjoy great sunsets over the nearby mountains, as well as enjoy the open space of a green golf course in your front yard, with a football size lake right in front of your view. All these scenic wonders make your vacation peaceful and memorable.
Fill your days with walks along the beach. You will be amazed with the number of shells that you can collect, and the amazing swings in low water tide levels, which is a unique feature of the San Felipe area.
If you like golf like we do, you will be in for a treat. La Ventana has a championship 18-hole course that is challenging, but five different tee boxes make it very fair. Prices are reasonable and include range balls and a cart. Don’t golf, no problem, there are many other things to do. There are tennis courts, and also a beach club with a swimming pool where you can sip a drink, have a bite, and surf the net with free Wi-Fi. Google La Ventana Del Mar to learn everything about the resort. Of course, what could be more fun than enjoying all that the Sea of Cortez has to offer? You can walk for miles on sugary white sand that usually seems to feel like your own personal beach. Kayak, sail, boat, or just swim in the beautiful blue-green water. There is also a permanent volley ball net set up on the beach. When the tide is out you can grab a bucket and go “clamming” and steam up a nice dinner. Look for sand dollars on the way, you will see plenty.
