  This is the quintessential beach vacation! It feels like a beach cottage, not at all like staying in the bigger condos. The view from the balcony is gorgeous, an unobstructed view of the sand and water, and all you hear is the waves crashing. There is a nice breeze. The pool is kept really nice - not overly chlorinated probably because it's not constantly crowded with people. The condo has all the amenities you need, a full kitchen, and a comfortable bed. Decorations are beachy and cute. I loved staying here.

  My husband and I very much enjoyed a relaxing getaway the last week of February at this very comfortable clean condo. The weather was cool but sunny the entire time. The view is wonderful and the sunsets stunning! Lots of good restaurants within a mile or two. We definitely want to return!

  We're finally back after 19 years. Everything is perfect. After my broken foot prevented our coming in December, you were so kind to work with us to make this our very special time. We are so much at home sharing your island paradise. The balcony is my favorite place. I can't take my eyes off the beach. Love being in the quiet top corner unit. This is a bonus. The condo is well equipped and very clean. Absolutely the best. Glad we have one more week to build special memories.

  Wow! What a view. It was incredible to wake up to the sight and sound of the surf every morning. This unit is ideally situated on the end of the building so you have the extra pleasure of seeing the blue-green water and white sand out of the porch doors and the side windows! The porch also offers a great view of the sunset. It is near the end of the quieter side of the island so it is a perfect for a quiet, romantic getaway. The place has a nice relaxing feel to it and was well supplied with everything we needed in the kitchen. It was also well maintained and clean. We went in the off-season so it was extra quiet and not crowded at all. For the price you might pay for a decent motel room in an ugly part of town, we had a beachfront place with a nicely equipped kitchen and patio overlooking the beach! Pat was great to work with and went above and beyond our expectations to make the whole process pleasant and worry free. My wife and I highly recommend this owner and this location! I am sure that we will be back there again.

  Hi Pat -- Regina & I thoroughly enjoyed our "mini-vacation" to Ft. Walton Beach & our stay in Island Sands. Your condo reflects "family & fun" along with your & our love of Florida.Loved all of the decorations, pictures etc. in the condo. The weather worked out for us & we actually did a little water time & a lot of beach time. We definitely wish to come back to Ft. Walton Beach, & when we do, you'll be the 1st to know because we really enjoyed your ISLAND SANDS PARADISE & that is where we will stay. Island Sands is soooo close to the beach & watching the SUNRISE & SUNSET from the balcony was an extra treat we didn't realize we would have. Some of the things we did were visit the Eglin AFB Museum,the Naval AFB museum @ Pensacola, Camp Helen State Park for hiking & exploring, spending time on the boardwalk @ Destin, shopping in downtown Ft.Walton Beach & eating @ some of the great restaraunts in Ft. Walton. (High Tide, Cafe Italia, Magnolia & Pineapple Willys in Panama Beach). The dolphins always seemed to put on quite a show for us every morning right in front of our deck. We walked the beach a lot & didn't let the cool water stop us from enjoying the surf & spending a lot of time on the beach. The only thing we didn't do is rest, & we can do that @ home. Florida is for doing all you can do, having all the fun you can have & making some more memories. By the way -- It is the cleanest on the beach. Amazing Thanks again Pat --- We will be back.   We loved the condo! It was exactly as described, nicely furnished and SO CLEAN and COMFORTABLE. From the minute we arrived until the moment we left, we felt very at home. We could hear the waves at all times, even from the bedroom late at night. This was a much needed, relaxing get away for us and it offered everything we needed. The beach is absolutely beautiful, with great sunsets and an awesome surf :) The owners were responsive and helpful, from booking our reservation all the way through to the return of our deposit! Thank you, again, Pat and Ed. We hope to come back again ASAP.

  Everything in the condo was as advertised, or even better. The sheets, comforter, pillows, etc were much nicer than I had experienced in previous rentals. This may seem a small thing, but it's not when you are a light sleeper. The complex was exceptionally quiet, and my husband was thrilled with the water pressure. Again, seems a small thing, but who wants to spend vacation washing shampoo out of your hair for 20 min. There is a fantastic view of the ocean from the balcony. I would also say the cleaning folks do an excellent job. Even small things were done like the oven being super clean .... that's a big deal when you consider this is a rental. We were a group of only two folks. It was our anniversary. I would say it would be fine for a family of 4, though. Publix is about a mile away for groceries if you want them, and the boardwalk, gulfarium and restaurants are about a three or four min. drive (in the Winter without traffic). There are some great restaurants and amazing water and diving/ snorkeling over on the Destin Jetty, less than 10 min away. We had gotten a list from Pat of the local restaurants, and I would like to add that everyone should do all you can eat Shrimp at Floyd's for 9.99 and the dinner specials at Sealand (locals place) for 12.99. If we go back to the Gulf area again, I would definitely stay here. Pat is very professional to deal with, and the condo building is full of nice folks.

  We located this condo via the internet and decided that it was the ideal spot for a couple, and at a very reasonable price. We scheduled for a week, and then arranged with Pat the owner to extend our stay for an additional 2 days. The condo is just as advertised - very clean, convenient to the beach, beatuiful view and the condo was furnished with every conceivable appliance and electronic gizmo that anyone could want - DVD, music, 2 TV's, etc. We hope to stay here again next year.

  Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, sightseeing.
