This house worked great. This was our second year renting it and it has been clean and in great condition each time. The owner is exceptionally helpful assisting us with preparation for our visit and educating us on the local restaurants. The location was a 10 minute drive to the city via 264 where we were attending a trade show. We were able to enjoy cocktails on the back deck while listening to the stream running through the back yard. We would recommend pizza at Impellizzeri’s and Pat's Steak House on Brownsboro Road.

The house was amazing! Just perfect for us and our company. We love Kentucky and plan to visit here again. We both completed Ironman and the comfort of this home completed that adventure. Thank you for allowing us to share the beauty and history of Louisville.

Everyone really enjoyed the house. It was so convenient to downtown and the bedrooms on the main level made it very accessible for our less mobile family members. It was a perfect setup for our family reunion. Thanks so much for the late checkout. It really helped us with the travel arrangements and some later flights. We would certainly use your house again if our travel brings us to Louisville!

This was a beautiful and convenient place to stay. We were in town for a wedding and I was able to stay with all my sisters! The two levels allowed us to stay up late laughing and playing games while the kids slumbered below. There was plenty of room to congregate but also room for privacy! The kids loved the pool table and games in the rec room. The owner was easy to communicate with, and the listing and pictures were accurate (the pictures actually don't reflect just how much room there is.) Wish we had more time to see all the sights around Louisville! We would definitely stay again!

I was reminded this week that I needed to send you a big "Thank you" for offering the Louisville rental home. My son just remarked again how perfect it was for our gathering in May. Everything was so clean, which the moms with crawling kids especially appreciated. We had room to have separate space, yet welcoming places to gather. One of the grandkids was just diagnosed with some tricky food allergies, so it was very helpful to have the well equipped kitchen as we ended up eating all our meals "at home." We took in lots of the sights of your lovely city; your location is great for that! And the creek was a high point for the little boy cousins. Overall, it was a great experience start to finish. Our family lives in three states and treasures the times we can be together. Being able to do that in such a lovely setting made the time all the more amazing. Thanks again! I have already recommended you to several people.

A group of friends and I stayed at this property over the 2010 New Years holiday. This is the second time we have stayed here. The place is great. Plenty of room for several people (we had 6 couples). The layout of the house is conducive to hanging out and having fun as well. Our only complaint with the property is it does not have a hot tub. Similar properties that we have rented in past years offer this amenity. We enjoy relaxing in the hot tub in cold winter months. Other than that, this property is great, reasonably priced, and easy to rent. The property management is fantastic to work with. I recommend this location to friends or families looking for a simple, affordable getaway to Louisville, KY.

Thank you so much for providing us with a wonderful Christmas gathering place! It was so perfect for us (three families meeting in Louisville from Alabama and Michigan)…sometimes we were all comfortably together in the family room, sometimes we broke off to the basement to play ping pong or the living room to read quietly. Intermittently the house was filled with the sound of mum playing carols on the piano. It couldn’t have been any better! We arrived with our groceries, and felt like we were walking into our house from a shopping trip....everything was there, everything was WONDERFUL; from the comfortable beds to the shampoo and soap! You thought of everything! Thanks for having the house decorated so beatifully; we didn’t miss the tree at all with all the pretty greens and candles and beautiful Christmas balls you had out. Thanks for helping us make 2010 such a wonderful Christmas memory!

There was a group of eight (8) guys that came down in an RV to visit my nephew and tailgate at the University of Louisville football game. We stayed at the house and had a wonderful time. There was plenty of room for all of us to either hang out together, relax or sneak in a nap before our next activity. The weekend was complete with tailgating, gambling at the casino, spending a night on Fourth Street, and barbequing at the house. We even had a very competitive ping pong tournament (a couple of these guys truly had game). We even had an accomplished piano player in the group - which was quite impressive. The house is beautiful, the location perfect, and we could not have had a better time. We are already planning our trip for next year. Wendy was great to work with. She made reserving the property very easy, and was available to answer all of my questions along the way. I would highly recommend this great property for your stay in Louisville - just please steer clear of the 2nd weekend in November, as we will be looking forward to going back : )

Our extended family group stayed here while attending the 2010 Breeder's Cup. 10-15 minutes to Churchill Downs, the same time straight in to downtown for food, pubs and fun. Beautiful drives into horse country within 15 minutes. Spacious, clean nicely furnished house, quiet neighborhood, fun restaurants, shopping etc less than 5 minutes away. HOME AWAY FROM HOME! You won't be disappointed.

My nephew's wedding was in Louisville and to commute between Lexington and Frankfort was a little much for our family. So I decided to rent this property to be for us to get together. The drive to this house is gorgeous, especially I am come from California. I was impressed with the tidiness and so spacious. The garage is supper big for us to arrange flowers for the wedding, the kitchen was stock with pretty much everything you need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. Everyone in my family keeps complimentary of house. In addition, the owner Wendy was nice enough to let us check in early. She is very pleasant to work with. It was so convenience for us and we had so much fun and memories of from this reunion in this house. I definitely will rent this property again next time I am in town.

The house was very nice for a large group of people. Everyone enjoyed the kitchen, and the kids enjoyed the ping pong. The only negatives were the ping pong table was wobbly, as some of the screws were not all the way in, and one of the bed frames appeared to have been broken before. Each was not a really problem for our stay. Also, the house is convenient to the Interstate, so you can make quick time to your destination.
Owner response:Recent guests had tried to move the ping pong table incorrectly and worked some of the screws lose from the bottom of the table. The table has been replaced! Also, this was the first awareness of any issue with a bed. This furniture is only about 2 years old. The bed has been inspected and repaired to prime condition. We run a quality vacation home rental and take care of the house and its contents. If an issue arises, it will be corrected immediately!

We had a group of 6 athletes competing in Ironman Louisville stay at the house. The house was EXACTLY what we needed for our stay there - perfectly located away from the stress of the race downtown (but close enough to get there quickly in 10 minutes). Additionally, the house was extremely convenient to training on the race course the days leading up to the event. With access to Kroger, Fresh Market, Starbucks and other 'essentials' within a mile to 2, the location is spot on. Inside the house, all of the furniture was exceptional - comfortable beds and sofas. Large dining spaces for 'family dinners' and an ample kitchen to pull off cooking for a large group (we had 12 one night). Lastly, Wi-Fi and great television/DVD player made the stay as seamless and easy as possible. Would recommend this property without hesitation.

We took a 2 week honeymoon. First week: Alaskan Cruise, Second week: This aMAzing home in a beautiful neighborhood in Louisville. What a wonderful place to "land" after being at sea for a week. Wendy is just a blessing to work with, very accommodating. She's a very professional business woman yet somehow manages to make you feel like she's your old friend from long ago. The house was huge, very very clean, great furnishings, fully equipped and we just had a blast in every inch of it-even playing a creative newlywed version of Ping-Pong downstairs in the family room. Has flatscreen TV's, fireplaces, gas grill, 2 decks, a piano, wireless and the softest sheets and towels you'd ever hope to use. We highly recommend this to anyone considering a home away from home. Don't waste your money on a hotel. Stay here. You won't regret it.

My family and I love this house. It is exactly like it is described and pictured on VRBO. It has everything you need to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. It is close to shopping malls and great restaurants. We have an annual girls weekend and we have rented this property for the last three years and plan on coming back next year. The owner is very understanding and helpful.

My old graduate school roommates and I have been reunioning twice a year for about ten years. There are six of us(and sometimes our spouses) and we have found rental properties all across the country for our gatherings. This lovely, Louisville property rates among the top three of all the properties we have rented in the last ten years! It is in a secluded, private, superbly maintained, subdivision of uniquely styled(not cookie-cutter), well cared for homes. The dining facilities(kitchen and dining room) were perfectly situated and well decorated for our cook-in, card playing, troops. It also was a perfect base for our jaunts to Churchill Downs, Cardinal Stadium, Louisville Slugger Field, and the Steamboat ride on the Ohio. There are shops, restaurants, bars, grocery stores, and the Best Pizza in Louisville all located within 2 miles of the home(yet you would never know it). We absolutely loved the place and can't wait to put it on our return list of places to visit and reside.
