This little cottage near the sea is an original 1950's home. It has been completely updated with modern conveniences, but is still quaint and charming taking you back to a simpler time in history. The 1,028 square foot cottage is not fancy, but very comfortable and clean.
It is tucked away on the the quiet side of US 1 in unincorporated Delray Beach. We are located 2.7 miles from Boynton Public Beach, 2 miles from Ocean Avenue Boat Docks, 3.4 miles from the Boynton Beach Inlet, and 3.2 miles from Delray Public Beach.
All the theme park attractions in Orlando are a 3 hour drive. Miami Beach is a 1 hour drive. Fast food, grocery shopping, and drug stores are under 2 miles away.
The large yard and long driveway gives plenty of room for outdoor activities. There is plenty of parking for you and your guests.
With a covered front and back patio there is plenty of shade for sitting outside.

- Not Suitable for Children: Not suitable for toddlers. Infants and children over 5 years are ok.
- Minimum Age Limit for Renters: Anyone under 25 years of age must be with a parent or responsible adult over 25 years of age.

Year Purchased: 2006
We are John and Carol Landry. We are both from Delray Beach, Florida, but have lived in Houston, Texas for the past 21 years for work purposes. We have a 21 year old daughter that is in college and a 15 year old son that is in 9th grade.
Why the Owner Chose Delray Beach
Our vacation cottage has been in my family for many years. My father grew up in this house. When my grandmother passed away in 2004 my aunt inherited it and then we purchased it from her in 2006. We fully restored it and enjoy staying at it every chance we get!
The Unique Benefits of this House
When we visit Delray, we don't venture West of I-95. We keep East of I-95, where it is quiet and rustic, reminiscent of Old Delray. That is all that existed when we were kids. To us, West of I-95 is congested and busy, exactly what we want to get away from on our vacation. We enjoy mornings on the covered back porch of the cottage watching the wild flocks of Nanday Conures that fly over every day. They make their stop in several trees on the street and then continue on their daily journey. In the evening you will hear their call as they pass back over heading to their roost for evening. We like to ride bikes down US 1 and to the beach. We have two regular bikes and a bike built for two that our guests may use free of charge. Evenings can always be enjoyed with a walk on the beach or strolling down Atlantic Avenue window shopping. On Atlantic Avenue you will always find a good lunch or dinner and plenty of night life! We consider our little cottage our escape from the fast paced life style we live in Houston, Texas.
