Beautiful home in a very private area. The living room has a 24 foot tall ceiling with great views of the water. Large master bedroom with large bath features a whirlpool overlooking the Intercoastal Waterway watching the boats go by. Private white sand beach on the Intercoastal Waterway (North side of the Island) is 200' from the front door for swimming, fishing and crabbing. Because we are on the bay the waves are much smaller and the slope of the beach allows you to easily walk out 400', perfect for children. Watch the pelicans roost while occasional Dolphins swim by. You can beach your boat right there and also you have access to the private boat ramp which is about 1/4 mile away. Rental boats are nearby. The Gulf of Mexico and all the beaches are about 6 miles away by car, 3 miles by boat or personal watercraft.
The BLUE ANGELS practice almost every tuesday and wednesday at NAS in Pensacola. The base is about a half hour away, the show is unbelievable and it's free. The new Wharf is about 10 minutes away. Great concerts all summer, tons of restaurants and great shopping are all right there. Water world, go carts, mini golf and 'The Little Zoo that could' (as seen on Animal Planet) are less than 20 minutes away. Tanger outlet Mall is about 30 minutes away in Foley.
We are pet friendly but must be told of all pets as there is additional deposit and pet fees. Pet stains are unacceptable and will be deducted from your deposit. Failure to disclose pets will result in deposit forfieture.
CAUTION: THE BANISTERS ON THE DECK AND STAIRWAY ARE SPACED WIDE AND YOU NEED TO EXERSIZE CAUTION WITH YOUNG CHILDREN

Really enjoyed our week at the Orange Beach Home. Big, clean and beautifully decorated. The view of the water was very nice. The neighborhood was very quiet but you were still not far from stores, restaurants and other attractions. We will be back for sure!!!! Thank you Brad and Penny for sharing your lovely home and letting us bring our four legged member of the family.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

My husband, myself and a 3 yr old and 12 year old and three dogs had a time so wonderful there just aren't enough words for what a dream vacation we had! The landlords took care of our every need and it was like home by the sea. The most amazing part was to be able to bring our 3 large dogs and enjoy their company on vacation. They loved the private beach and so did we. There is nothing more that could have been added to make it any more perfect! The kids had a blast swimming and catching critters, we even set crab traps and the kids laughed their butts off at grandma getting attacked by the crabs. The house was nothing short of spectacular and this was a very memerable time. Thank you guys we will be back over and over again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Thank you, Brad and Penny for letting us (and our two dogs) rent your beautiful home in Orange Beach. The home we rented has a peaceful view of the bay from inside and out. We especially enjoyed sitting on the porch in the sun watching for dolphins. One day we saw 6 dolphins playing about 30 feet from the beach. The home is very open with a lot of windows on all sides. It had all the items we needed for cooking and relaxing. The water at the beach was clear and calm and was perfect for children, dogs and adults. The neighborhood where this house is located is perfect for biking, walking and running. The residents in the neighborhood are super friendly and they made us feel so welcome. (We were even invited to a pot luck dinner one evening.) The Flipper restaurant is within walking distance and has great food. We already have reservations for next year. You will not be sorry if you rent one of Brad's houses because the homes and landlords are one of the best we have experienced.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I rented this house for my husbands 40th birthday; all he asked for is he wanted to go fishing. This place was perfect with the small private beach we were able to do some night fishing. Catfish come out after 6pm so we were able to catch quite a few. From the living room we were able to watch the dolphins swim; it was amazing. I loved being at the house and there is so much do in the surrounding area; the zoo is perfect for families. We will definitely be returning for anothe relaxing vacation.. thanks to Brad and Penny everything was perfect.....See ya next time.. This was our first stay off of the main beach and we really enjoyed it. It is very private but also a quick drive to main beach, shopping, and restaurants. We brought our dog, two boats and had seven people staying and there was ample space for everyone. The private beach was great for kayaking and finding hermit crabs! The people we met in the neighborhood were also very friendly! This was a nice change from the usual beach trips we usually take.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, families with teenagers.

We stayed may 28 through june 2nd with a family of 11. There was plenty of room for us. The location is close to about everything you could want to do. The bay that you are staying on has dolphins in it and is the exact place the dolphin cruises take you. I would definately stay again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We just returned from a wonderful vacation at your beach cottage on Bear Point. We absolutely loved the privacy, quiet location of the cottage. It was very spacious, clean, plenty of space for a family of 6,loved the decor. Pet friendly for our pet, Chloe, who loved the beach. We will definitely consider this house for a future trip. I planned a long weekend from Indiana to Gulf Shores with my 17 year old daughter for her birthday so she could have Birthday dinner at LuLu's, and not only were the owners incredibly accommodating for my last minute surprise planning (literally the night before we left) but the caretaker was equally as accommodating! I spoke with the owner the night before we left, and we wanted to throw the bags and the dog in the car and just take off, which is exactly what we were able to do! The nice thing about the location is that it is on the bay and away from the "touristy" beach scene, extremely quiet and relaxing...however, its only 6 minutes (we timed it of course) to the main strip of beaches and we frequented there as well! The house is well maintained, comfortable, and feels home-y. We loved it and will absolutely return as soon as we can!Recommended for: Pet owners, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

There are 3 comfortable bedrooms with the master suite the biggest of any rental I have seen. The same can be said for the master bath. The entire 2nd floor is the master bedroom and bath which makes for a place to get away from others in the house. There are two additional baths and bedrooms downstairs.The views of the water are excellent with a nice little beach. This place is CLEAN and spacious with a sense of privacy. The A/C is good. The floors are tile in the great room/kitchen which is great if you bring a pet as we did. The kitchen is spacious. I would have liked a covered deck. The neighborhood is a great place to walk. There is a nearby marina with excellent gumbo and wine list. Unfortunately the fireplace is a flickering light and we did not care for the extra shelf holding shells. Other than that, this is a great place to rent. I have recommended this to my family and friends and we will be renting this again in the future.Recommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
