We had a great time during our stay at this home in Narragansett. The house is in a quiet neighborhood within a short drive to the public beach and the center of town. It is also only about a half hour from Providence and Newport which means you'll have plenty to do and see during your stay. As to restaurants, we would highly recommend the Coastguard House and Spain in Narragansett or Trattoria Romano in Wakefield. The Stop & Shop grocery store is also a short drive away in a large shopping center. The house itself is nice although it was not completely cleaned when we arrived (e.g., cobwebs, dirty bathroom mirror, crumbs on kitchen countertop). The downstairs bathroom shower was difficult to turn on and off at first but we figured it out. Otherwise, the house seems very well-maintained. The description of the house mentioned a pool table and ping pong table but those items are no longer there which was a little disappointing (perhaps the description hadn't been updated since the downstairs bedrooms were built). The house had plenty of other amenities that were much appreciated (shed full of beach items, swing set, board games, etc.). The 4 bedrooms offered plenty of room for everyone and the kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked with supplies. The only other thing that would have been nice to have was some information about local attractions/restaurants in the house. We had to go to the tourist info center at The Towers to get that or look through the phone book. Overall we had a very nice time and I would recommend renting the house to families with children :)Owner response: Glad you enjoyed your stay! Sadly, the day you arrived, our cleaning person's mother in law passed away. He rushed thru the job to get to the hospital. We hold our cleaning crew to high standards and it was quite embarrassing to us that you arrived to less than acceptable conditions. Additionally, the pool table was broken earlier in the season; a fact I over-looked updating on the website. I believe both concerns have been rectified!

We have stayed in this home recently and instantly fell in love with this charming home, the architectural style, and the location. It is away from everything and has a lot of land for the kids to play. With the cozy atmosphere, we fell like we were at home! Lauren was great to respond and help us out when any questions or issues arised and was committed to make our stay relaxing and full of great memories. Though we had to return home for an unexpected wake and funeral towards the end of the week, but we made the best of our time we spent at Bonnet Shores. This home completely reminded us why we fell in love with Bonnet Shores in the first place. I wish there was a guest booklet to sign! Thank you, Lauren!Did you find this review helpful? Our week at this wonderful home was simply perfect!!! The house is spacious and incredibly CLEAN! We spent the week with our daughters and their families - all of our grandchildren were in one place - and it was an amazing family time. This house allowed us to be together comfortably, cook amazing meals with the countless kitchen amenities, spend hours on the extra large back deck with large table and umbrella, shower in the oversized outdoor shower, relax in the GIANT screened in porch while watching Red Sox games, and we spent 7 days of pure sunshine on Kelly Beach! No need to even bring our beach chairs next year - the storage shed is FULL of chairts, toys, and any and all things you might need for the beach. But, the best feature, BY FAR, was the YARD! Hard to find a better lot in Bonnet Shores! WHile the adults enjoyed appetizers on the deck, the tanned, happy kids spent hours in the yard playing wiffle ball, lacrosse and the little ones never got off the swingset! You can't do any better - we already arranged for a return visit next year. Thanks to Lauren and family - we had a memorable, relaxed vacation! Only thing mising - a guest book!!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Sara, we are so, so thrilled that you and your family had such a wonderful vacation! We work hard to ensure that our guests have a place to stay that we ourselves would be happy to rent! I'm going out to buy a guest book for next year's season this weekend! Thanks for the suggestion!

Great home for relaxing and enjoying your vacation-something for everyone---games, books, sports, hikes, beaches, etc. and close to cities/sights-Block Island, Naragansett, Newport and Jamestown. Well maintained and clean, near restaurants and stores. Quiet neighborhood and spacious home-love the back screened in room with cool breezes! Great get away from the hustle and bustle of big city life; stress reliever with all the necessary amenities.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: Jo, so glad you and your family enjoyed your vacation! The screened-in porch is everyone's favorite room! Thanks!

This wonderful and delightful home is perfect to have fun and relax with family and friends! It is clean and well-maintained. The bedrooms are spacious and bright. Every room has its own charm! My family had an amazing time. It was very comfortable for me, my husband, kids and our friends (6 adults, 8 children). The kids enjoyed the yard, basketball cout, swing set. The possibilities and imaginations are endless in this backyard! The deck, sunroom and outside shower are my favorite spots. We enjoyed the wonderful beaches that are near the house. The house has everything you can possibly think of. It truely is home away from home!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house has everything for a wonderful, relaxing vacation. It is a huge home - perfect for a big group (we had 3 families stay) and it is so clean. It has everything you need - from beach gear to strollers and toys for the little ones. We spent alot of time enjoying the back deck and the kids loved the yard. It is a very easy walk to the beach and the outdoor shower is great! We would highly recommend this house to families looking for a summer getaway.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks, Dina! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and took advantage of the gear we provide to every guest! We strive to make our home comfortable for all who stay there!

This is a great property - it has the lagest lot in the area making it seem more away from it all. Its an easy walk to a great beach and provides 20 min access to almost any venu in the southern part of the state. Really enjoyed ability to have a family grilled dinner on the back porch, along with evenings in the cool screened in porch. Well maintained with lots of little extras. Would recommend to others.Recommended for: Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

I have been renting this house for 2 summers with another family and absolutely love it. It accomodates us incredibly well. It has a great yard for the kids to play and a comfortable patio for the adults to spend their evenings relaxing. The house is well equipped from the kitchen to the outdoor shower to a multitude of beach supplies. There is little I need to bring. The beach is within walking distance which is great since I don't like to deal with crowded parking lots. Other activities within a half hour is Foxwoods, Mystic Aquarium and Seaport, Newport, Providence Children's Museum. I would recommend this home to any family looking for a comfortable beach getaway.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: We live in NJ with our 3 children. My huband grew up in RI and vacationed in Bonnet Shores every summer. It was always a dream of his to own a little piece of heaven in Bonnet, and we're so thrilled to be living that dream!
Why the Owner Chose Bonnet Shores:
The first time we saw this house, it was a mess! Dirty, cluttered, and un-cared for, with an unfinished basement. We saw beyond the dirt and grime and saw the amazing potential! With just a little TLC and elbow grease, this would be a fantastic home! The spaciousness of the house was unbelievable! We saw how awesome it could be to have multiple families visit our house and never be on top of each other. We looked at numerous other houses in our quest to purchase, but we kept coming back to 89 Allagash! It truly is the perfect beach house for our family!
The Unique Benefits at this House:
This home is simply charming! We immediately fell in love with the rustic beams in the living room and den. The stone fireplace is beautiful! The screened-in porch is wonderful! The huge yard gives our children and nieces and nephews plenty of room to run around! We love to play a game of touch football or wiffle ball with our extended family! It truly is a family friendly, unique place to vacation!
