A very well kept, beautiful house very close to Sierra and a nice sledding area, and pet friendly too! We will definitely be back! The kitchen and bathrooms were incredible! The whole house is very comfortable and tastefully appointed. The only major issue we had was that it snowed 5 inches before we left and apparently the plow was stuck in traffic until the afternoon. In retrospect, we should have just shoveled out the long driveway ourselves but we got stuck on the incline and our tire chains broke in the struggle. Got out with help from the owner and neighbor. A few considerations: Beds downstairs on soft side Downstairs colder, more difficult to heat. Some road noise, right off hwy 50 but not very noticeable in winter. About a 15 minute (at most) drive to Meyers, nearest place for groceries, restaurants and gas. No internet.

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home! I plan to come back many times in the future. The house is done very well, attention to detail is obvious. The master was amazing, the views made it feel like we were outside. Everything was very clean. I will not be looking for any other cabin anymore, this is it!!! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Best place for a Winter Wonderland Christmas

There were 6 adults and 2 children that stayed here. This was the perfect place for a winter wonderland Christmas. Plenty of room to spread out and give everyone their own space when they needed it. The TVs in each room was nice. The double oven in the kitchen made it nice for cooking dinners and there are plenty of cooking utensils. We cooked every meal here except one. We had 8+ft of snow outside. In the past we've stayed at a time share on the Nevada side of Heavenly and the space was small and in order to go outside to play in the snow you had to all pile in the SUV and drive somewhere. Here we could just walk outside and play in the snow, build a snowman, and was able to walk a short distance behind the house where we found a snow cat trail on a hill that we were able to turn into our private sled hill. This house is just minutes away from a commercial sled hill that only charges $15 a car load for the day. The sledding here was great on groomed sled runs. My 10 year old Niece and 8 year old Nephew loved this. Ok us adults did also. In the garage there were saucers and sleds for us to use. We were also only 5 minutes away from Sierra At Tahoe ski area. We had a rocky start to our stay as the Sunday in which we were to arrive the Sierras got slammed with a major winter storm with high winds that caused power outages all over the Tahoe area. So we were not able to get in the first day. Michelle was very accomodating and refunded us some money for that first night missed. One other problem is the satellite dish is not heated so when snow and ice get on it and you can't get it off because it is on the 2nd story roof you have no TV. We had no TV for 48 hrs. It would be nice if there was internet but we made do with iphones and using a blackberry to act as a hot spot for a computer. The pictures were very reflective of what the house really looks like. The great room upstairs made it very nice to all be included no matter what they are doing, cooking, doing a puzzle on the table, watching TV or movie, etc. We brought our own WII game and had lots of fun. There is a large!!! walk in closest in the master bedroom that my 10 year old niece put her blow up bed in and turned into her bedroom. It would be nice if we had access to the loft but that is not available becuase of access issues. I would highly recommend this house for winter or summer. It is very relaxing with all the comforts of home. My family will be back.

Amazingly Comfortable

Our family of 4 had a spectacular time in Lake Tahoe for my sons senior year spring break. EVERYTHING was as expected just as described in the homeaway website. The home had everything we needed and more. The details and layout made it so inviting and spacious. My favorite room was the master bedroom where you can look up at the moon and stars from the upper windows and being 7,000 feet in elevation made it really spectacular. The fireplace was really comforting in the bedroom as well. The kitchen was amazing and modern with stainless steel appliances and I loved the concrete counter tops. The kids (16 and 18) enjoyed their separate room’s w/the flat screens and also the hot tub was a plus! One morning I was looking out the master bedroom window and a coyote was walking through the backyard. That was really cool. We were amazed how much snow was still at the house this time of year (end of March beginning of April), but was pleased because that is why we came for my son to snowboard. We also enjoyed shopping in Heavenly. You have a beautiful location and convenient to the ski resorts. My husband and I even learned to ski at Sierra-At-Tahoe (only a few miles down the road) while my son went snowboarding on the big slopes! We also took a trip to Sacramento and San Francisco for a day. We cooked most meals at the house and even grilled steaks on the charcoal grill one evening. We went to Lake Tahoe Pizza Company and an Italian restaurant Passaretti's in town. Both were fantastic and recommended by a ski patrol at Sierra-At-Tahoe! Thank you again for allowing us to enjoy your home. We hope to visit again sometime to enjoy the summer/fall to take hikes in the woods and enjoy Lake Tahoe too! I would recommend this place to anyone!

Extremely Gorgeous!

This house is incredible! A for sure must stay for anyone looking to vacation in the South Lake Tahoe area. The house was extremely neat / clean and the modern touches were amazing. The master bedroom views were breath taking. Being able to walk right out to snow was the best. The owners are easy to work with and very nice. Before you arrive they send you a list of places in the area to eat / visit with your contract. That made it very nice. There is a snow park right up the road for families. A for sure must visit again when we take our next trip to Tahoe. I highly recommend this house to anyone.

Beautiful Luxury House

This was the first house that we stayed at that not only lived up to the listing, but actually surpassed it! The photos from the web site truly reflect the house. The house was very clean, modern and comfortable. The attention to detail was evident and inviting. The house is very well furnished, but I think all of the little extras made it special. The kitchen with all of amenities was outstanding and made cooking a pleasure. There are a lot of modern appliances throughout the house. The view from the master bedroom and hot tub were excellent. My daughters sat in the hot tub one evening and marveled at the stars. There are also a few good trails off of the back of the house that lead to a lake and a meadow that my dogs and teenagers equally enjoyed. I would stay at this house again and I would recommend it to anyone staying in South Lake Tahoe.

Tahoe Retreat

Two families (total 4 adults, 4 children) stayed at this house for 3 nights. My family did not use the master bedroom upstairs, but it looked superb. However, I did enjoy using its large private deck. The two beds downstairs were a bit soft. The bathtub downstairs was difficult to get into. I wouldn't recommend an elderly person using it. Also, I wish the house had a map or video of the trail to access the lake behind the house. I couldn't find it and I wasn't sure how far it was. The garage was very clean and empty, but my brother had a hard time fitting his Toyota Highlander SUV into the left side of the split garage. I used the other side and had plenty of space for my van. My final requests would be for the house to have a gas grill instead of having to bring charcoal and perhaps have access to the internet. But enough with the negatives. This house is gorgeous! The pictures do accurately show how well the house is furnished and how well kept the place is. I can't stress how clean the house was. The house was decorated minimally so it didn't looked cluttered and most importantly, I didn't have to worry about my kids breaking something. The tv and surround sound system were amazing and each bedroom had its own flat screen tv with Directv in case you needed some private down time. There was plenty of storage in the house. If you bring a lot of clothes or equipment, you won't have any problem finding room for it all. The location of the house was about a 15-20 minute drive away from Lake Tahoe. So the house is away from the crowds and traffic. It was located right off Highway 50, but the noise or traffic was never a factor. It was very close to Echo Lake, which was fantastic to hike. As you can tell by the pictures, the kitchen looked very modern and sleek. We didn't cook during our stay so we didn't fully utilize the space. Because the house was a bit of a drive from the restaurants, we planned our meals to bring to the house on the way back from Lake Tahoe. The dinner table was great for our party size of 8. I loved the table and chairs. The hot tub in the back was very clean and put to good use. After hiking all day, it was a good place to unwind. Michele was very friendly and helpful with all of the emails and was quick to respond to my questions by phone when I was at the house. I want my house to have those bedroom doors. Thanks for the stay and I would love to come back.

The layout and pictures for this house on the website were very accurate. The house was very clean and the construction of the house was wonderful. We had a great time and would definitely come back. We enjoyed the Echo Lakes hike and the short drive to Twin Bridges.

We stayed here while snow skiing at the near-by resorts. The accommodations where perfect for 3 couples needs. This home is gorgeous and felt as if we where staying in a new luxurious custom home. Very clean and quite, furnished with all the amenities you would need. The outdoor hot tub was perfect after days spent skiing. The views of the tall pines and mountain tops are very relaxing. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Great Romantic Chalet

We had a lot of fun at the house. We can describe it in one word: "WOW!" The property was great and over exceeded our expectations. All the small details like all the candles all around the house and the games for the kids made us fell at home. We would definitely recommend it to friends and we might come back again next year.
