  • This house has been a perfect place for my family to stay while in Salida. The location is great and we enjoyed walking into town every day. The back yard is amazing and the kids really had fun climbing the trees. My favorite room is the sun room where we enjoyed talking about our dream of moving to this wonderful town, reading, and knitting. Heather has done an excellent job decorating the home and it is a clean, comfortable, and very nice home!

    Well, we're packing up and heading out in the morning, much to our disappointment - we hate to leave! We just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at your house. It's such a comfortable place and you have it fixed up very nicely. Thanks again for getting the internet hookup and for all the good suggestions on things to do.     Everything is going great here. We're having a nice time and the weather is perfect! We love the shady back yard and the sunny front porch. We just move from one to the other as the temperature changes. The trees are just hinting at turning, but I think in about another week there should be a lot of color. We'll check out the Silver Creek Trail, sounds beautiful. We did go to the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs the other day and enjoyed the hot water while it rained!   • My family and I had a great time staying in this warm, welcoming home. Its location is perfect; walking distance to downtown Salida, shopping, and river access. The house is lovely, with two large bedrooms, a very spacious kitchen and bath, front screened porch, and huge, (privacy) fenced yard. The screened porch and covered back patio kept the house cool, even when it was 90 degrees outside, and the backyard is shaded throughout the day by a giant tree. What a great place for my kids to play! There's a large mud room to store shoes, strollers, skis, etc. Plenty of dishes, pots & pans, linens~ everything my family needed. Best of all is the wonderful king size bed in the master bedroom. Heaven! If we ever vist Salida again, this is where we'll stay!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at your house. Salida is a great town to go to for a get-a-way and the house is perfectly located near downtown. It was really fun to have the riverfront area and the art shops so close.

  • A well-furnished, comfortable and fully functional house that is just blocks from the center of Historic Downtown Salida. This house had everything we needed for a great stay. We especially enjoyed the large shady backyard where we enjoyed our coffee in the mornings and relaxing in the evenings. The location can't be beat. We walked to Riverfront Park to enjoy the river, to Bongo Billy's for lunch and to the Safeway for groceries. We enjoyed our time there so much we were already talking about our next trip on the way home.

  • A great getaway from the city! This gem was beautiful, clean, and has a wonderful backyard perfect for relaxing. It was the perfect Salida location; out the front door there was walking access to the river, downtown and hiking trails. Highly recommended, 5 stars!
