Wonderful Ski Trip Weekend

I rented this house for a weekend of skiing along with a few good friends (late 20s/early 30s), and we had a great stay--the kitchen is clean, modern, and open, the house is well maintained, and Rich was great to deal with. Everything was as described, plus the views from the house were gorgeous. The gas fireplace does lack some of the charm of a roaring wood fire, but it sure is easy to just press a button and have a nice little fire going. The hot tub was terrifically bubbly and clean. Also, we went skiing both days at Sunday River, and the drive really wasn't that bad--definitely worth it for the the great house and the cost.

Beautiful home close to Mount Abrams and Sunday River. Woke up the day before Xmas Eve to 5 inches of snow, what a view from the home! We were 8, 4 of us kids. The set up was perfect. The 3 boys had their own space downstairs in the 4 bunk room with their own living room and bathroom. My daughter had her own room and the 2 couples each ad their own rooms. The fireplace was warm and cozy and the home provides for all the amenities you could ever want. If you arrive at night be warned younwill need flashlights as there is minimal street lighting and none in the long hilly driveway. We arrived at night during a minor ice storm and our 4x4's could not make it up the driveway. Luckily we had our iPhones to light the way! I would recommend this home to anyone. Rich was always prompt getting back to me with any concerns.

Went for the first time last week, for just a couple nights, but it was great. Luckily the weather we had was perfect, and the view was amazing. The house was clean and well maintained when we got there, and there wasn't a thing I had to complain about when leaving. We didn't do much activities, other than spending a couple easy nights in the house, and I'll probably be going back next summer, to explore more of the area. Five stars, all the way.

Amazing Overall Experience

This was my second visit to Two Bears Lodge and I have to say that it just keeps getting better. The house is beautifully kept and maintained, the view from the front deck is amazing, and a short 20 minute ride to Sunday River ski resort makes it a great destination for anyone looking for a nice house that sleeps a ton and is away from commotion that surrounds the mountain. I would recommend this house to anyone and everyone. Rich is a great guy and we are definitely looking in to renting again!

Wonderful Ski Chalet

My friends and I rented this house for a ski weekend and it was fabulous! There were 11 people total and the house was spacious enough for all- especially having 3 full bathrooms! We loved relaxing in the hot tub or in front of the fireplace after a great day of skiing. Everyone enjoyed their time so much, that we plan to make this a yearly event! Thanks, Rich!

Great times in the mountains

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Maine. Our two families came to Maine from Georgia. We couldn't have asked for more. Rich was great to work with and we loved the cabin. It was very accessible, clean, and had everything we needed. The hot tub was perfect after a day of hiking or skiing. The kitchen was well equipped. We even cooked a complete Thanksgiving meal. The only suggestion I have is for the ceiling fans to be dusted and potholders are needed in the kitchen. The town of Bethel is beautiful; definitely eat at Roosters! Sunday River ski resort was very helpful to all of us who had never skied before. We enjoyed the hiking in the mountains and even got to see a momma moose and her baby! I would definitely recommend this cabin to our friends who want to visit Maine. After seeing our pictures, several have said they will definitely be going up there. Thanks Rich for being so accommodating! You were great and as our kids said "Your cabin rocks!"

Rich, First of all I want to thank you for making the communication aspect of our stay so easy! The house was AMAZING and even more than I expected. You left no piece of a perfect ski house undone!!! Well this was our second year and the house was just as nice as last year. We are 8 adults and 4 children and while the adults were watching tv and relaxing upstairs the kids were downstairs playing wii I would reccomend this house to anyone clean and cozy!!!! Waking up to the mountain views and then the watching the sun go down was just sooo nice!!!! Rich is a pleasure to deal with and very easy to reach at any time. So if you are thinking you want to rent this house dont just rent it!!! My group just loves it!! Thanks Again Rich!!!!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration at this "luxury 4 br chalet" that totally lives up to its desciption! The location high on a hill provides lovely views, the large comfortable great room, kitchen with island, and front deck, are great for entertaining! I love the white cedar and pine decor. The bedrooms are very comfortable and 3 bathrooms, 1 on each level, are very convenient! Huge TVs and hot tub for leisure time. Thank you for offering this beautiful home for rent.

Dear Rich, Just wanted you to know how much we loved our stay in Maine, especially our accomadations. The house was absolutely wonderful, not to mention the view from the front balcony. Rich, thanks so much for renting your absolutely BEAUTIFUL house to us for this past weekend. We enjoyed ourselves so much, your house was really over the top! It is by far the best rental that we have stayed at! My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub after our 2 days of skiing. We really appreciate the efforts you took to accommodate us. The skiing was nice and the competition was great, my kids were very excited watching the jumps from the lifts. After unpacking and getting through dinner we are going to try to find something for next weekend for another round of spring skiing while it lasts. Your cabin is great! We really enjoyed our time there. We are thinking about going again next year. You have though of everything from spare propane to dishes to a wine fridge. Thank you so much for calling to help us to make the hut tub work. The views were amazing. The cabin is remarkable!

Our Group of 12 including 4 children stayed at Two Bears Lodge and loved it. Very Clean and Cozy Beds were sooo comfy Great place to come back after a day out in the snow!! Rich was more than helpful with all of our questions while planning our weekend getaway We are already making plans for our 2010 stay!! The House Provided enough space for the 12 of us it was just perfect!!! The Hot Tub was a plus that we so very much enjoyed!

WE had a wonderful stay. Annually 4 couples, 2 from Maine , 1 from N.H, 1 from OH, get to together for a long weekend to eat drink and be merry. We were thrilled to find Two Bears Lodge that would accomadate all of us comfortably and at a reasonable price. We found everything in this beautful home clean and of high quality. Our weather was great the veiw fantastic and the memories we created will last a life time.

My wife and I had an incredible week at your lodge to enjoy our wedding anniversary. The setting is premium and the amenities are incredibly comfortable including the beds, pillows, couches, and towels. It is better than home! The rental fee is so reasonable and there are no hidden taxes like you get from the hotels. This is a place to return every year.

Rich,It was fantastic & I meant to email you before now but things have been crazy-vacation isn’t supposed to be like this. Your place is great- very well outfitted. Dear Rich, I just wanted to drop you a note and thank you for the use of Two Bear Lodge. It's a beautiful house and we all enjoyed our time there. I hope that we left everything as expected at the end of the week, since the boys were definitely interested in the possibility of returning next year. It took us a couple of days to realize that there was a great trail just about 40 yards out the back of the property where we had access to miles of pine needle mountain trails. Thanks again! Chris

Hi, We had the pleasure of 5 nights in July, we all had a great time, the house is better than the photo's provided. It was everything we wanted and more. We racked up 9 straight hours on WII tennis and challenge anyone to beat that, thank god we had the Hot Tub for the sore muscles. Anyway i really would recommend this anyone, i hope to come next time for skiing.

Hi Rich, wonderful home and town. We had a very nice stay and the home had all conveniences needed. Hot tub was great, and a few Wii game challenges were fun! Sitting on the deck overlooking the mountains with sunset and sun rises - awesome! The town very quaint with very friendly people. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you. with the exception of the snow, which was glazed over by the combined low temp and arctic winds, we had a great weekend. SR was closed friday due to the wind, but a bunch went to abram for a half day. sat and sun were much better weather-wise, but unfortunately the wind damage was done by then. the house was great -- everyone was extremely pleased with their stay. the hot tub definitely helped me get over the missed day on the slopes. you have quite the little gem there. thanks for affording us a great stay. i'll add a comment and we'll let you know if we plan another trip. best,
