Beautiful, contemporary furnishings make this 19th floor, corner studio a great place to spend your vacation in Puerto Rico.

The apartment has a clean, compact kitchen with all the necessities to prepare anything from sandwiches to gourmet meals.

The living/dining area is extremely spacious with a comfortable large leather sofa, marble end tables and a marble dining table that will seat four. There is a 32 inch color TV with cable/VCR/DVD on a moveable cart so you can watch TV from bed or sofa. There is also a speaker system for your IPOD or MP3 player.

There is a full-size Murphy bed that gives you the option of more space for entertaining. The mattress is new and very comfortable. The entire North wall of the apartment is glass...and opens on to a balcony furnished with chairs and chaise lounge.

Vertical blinds allow for privacy at night, filtered light during the day or when fully opened: a spectacular sweeping view of the ocean and city. There is a large closet for storage, and a beautifully tiled bathroom with tub/shower, vanity and window!

The south wall is mirrored which doubles the light and creates a much larger feeling of space in this approximate 500 square foot studio. The 12 X 12 ceramic floor tiles keep the apartment cool, clean and comfy.

The Ashford-Imperial has a security guard in the lobby and access to the foyer is restricted to guests with keys. The rear lobby (pool access) offers vending machines and FREE wireless internet access and also available in the apartment for more convenience. There are several designer boutiques in the building and one lovely café with outdoor seating - great for people watching along Ashford Avenue.

The pool deck is located off the lobby level and is very private and peaceful offering comfortable chaise lounges, picnic tables and umbrellas, outdoor shower and pool side lavatory. There is a coin operated laundry room on the second floor. Additionally, there is a gym/exercise room on the second floor for guests to use free of charge....and it's brand new!

Why stay in an expensive hotel when you can have hotel luxury and the ability to cook/prepare meals when you want to. The Marriott Hotel is across the street and has a gym/health club/spa services/pool/beach/tennis and garage parking...as well as world class restaurants and casino.

Tours of the island as well as rental cars can be arranged in the lobby. There are 24 hour restaurants and drug stores as well as an internet café, International Fitness Center (Gym), Banco Popular, UPS Store, Dry Cleaners and Grocery all with in blocks of the Ashford-Imperial. Historic Old San Juan is a ten minute taxi ride away...or 75 cents by city bus!

  • My daughter stayed at Mr. Calderon's apartment for roughly 8 days in the month of July, 2009. Excellent all-around experience: the apartment was in very good condition, the price was fair, the location good. I received a prompt refund for my security deposit and must saty that it has been a pleasure dealing with Mr. Calderon.

  • My friend and I stayed at 1905 in August and had a wonderful time. It was our first time to Puerto Rico and we definitely want to come back. The apartment was just the right size for the two of us. The apartment is conveniently located with shops, restaurants and a Walgreens just a block away. We have no complaints but we would suggest that the blinds in the apartment be fixed. There are a couple of slats missing which doesn't help when the sun comes up bright and early. Otherwise, we enjoyed our apartment very much and would definitely come back. Oscar was great to rent from and that helped make our trip even easier. We would definitely recommend staying at the Ashford Imperial.

  • My daughter and I had the pleasure of renting this condo in April.I have stayed in many condos in this particular building...but this one not only was the most affordable,the view of the ocean was breath taking!If you are up early enough,look to your right for the morning sunrise from the balcony..unforgetable.The apartment is cozy,and has everything you need.The pool area is redone and a treat to lounge around and relax.The ocean is across the street,restaurants,hotel casinos with nightly dancing(or gambling) at your feet.If you want to get to Old San Juan the bus stop for the 10 minute ride is a two minute walk.No need for a car rental.Enjoy your stay..I can't wait to go back...

  • My husband and I along with our 2 small children stayed at this appartment and it was ideal for our family. It was very comfortable and with 2 young children (1yr & 31/2 yr olds) it was extremely convenient. The view from the balcony was just wonderful. We were able to walk right down the block to the beach and had many restaurants to choose from. At night the breeze that came into the apartment was just perfect. The apartment was always nice and cool. We didn't even need to use the A/C. The building is beautiful and the staff was very courteous. They called a cab for us at 4am to return to the airport and it was there in 2 minutes. We wish we could have stayed longer. We would definately stay again. We give this apartment 5 stars. Oscar's communication with us prior to our arrival and once we arrived was outstanding. We recommend this place to anyone. The DeJesus Family

  • We stayed in this apartment in March and loved it! This was our first time using VRBO. If you have any doubts about renting this apartment, let us assure you that Oscar is a man of integrity and you have nothing to worry about. He will take excellent care of you. The apartment is in a great location in a beautiful building. Everything is as pictured, and the view is wonderful. It is so much nicer to have an apartment than a hotel room. We would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting San Juan. Our only regret was having to leave to go back home. We used the public bus system and walked wherever we went. If you enjoy going to the casino, the Marriott across the street has a nice one. El Yunque, the rainforest, is only about 45 minutes away -- Avis and Hertz have rental cars in the neighborhood if you need a car for a day to go see it. There is a great market nearby where you can get fruits and vegetables, hot sauce, fruit smoothies, meat pies, etc. We had a fabulous time!

  • We stayed in 1905 the week of January 24-31. We were greeted by Oscar and his family, who show us around the grounds. The studio, pool and grounds, were clean and are very well maintained. The location was great, we enjoyed the beach,resturants and casinos that are just a short walk away. We definitely are looking forward to coming back again in the future.

  • I just spent three weeks ......and I can't wait to return!!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope that Oscar's condo will be available. I highly recommend 1905. The location is Excellent!! Building is convenient to everything. Walking distance to great restaurants (Orozco's at 1126 Ashford Avenue was my favorite for Puerto Rican food), casinos, and bars. The condo is very clean, comfortable and has all the comforts of home. The view of the Atlantic Ocean is breathtaking. You can enjoy time on the private balcony or at the newly refurbished pool area, which has a whirlpool. The lobby areas have been recently renovated and they are beautiful. Oscar was great to work with while planning and I'm sure would have been available if anything had come up during my stay (no problems at all). When you see what the hotels are charging per nite and compare to the condo rate it is quite a deal. I'm sure you will enjoy your stay!!

  • I have stayed several times in the building. It was my first in 1905. The apartment was clean, cozy and convenient, and waking up to see the ocean in front of me wasn't bad either! Oscar was also very accomodating. As always my trip to Puerto Rico, my happy place, was a pleasure. I look forward to returning.

  • Our stay at 1905 was delightful. The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and well appointed with kitchen supplies, beach chairs, and towels. The photos on the web site are accurate, in fact, the actual views are even nicer. From this central location we explored not only the beach right across the street and the Ashford Avenue shops and restaurants but also the outlying areas including the Santurce Market Place, Ocean Park, and the Lagoon. While there are many stores for food and drink right nearby, we walked a few more blocks to the SuperMax for more variety and lower prices- a Supermarket is a great way to see real daily life. We did see the buses running regularly (B21 to Old San Juan) but only took a return bus once. Instead we chose to walk- a lot - but that was our preference. We also rented a car to visit El Yunque and to attend a baseball game at El Estadio de Roberto Clemente. Car renting was easy, but driving home at night presented us with some difficulty. Others who use a better map a/o don't miss the exit to the airport will not likely have the same challenges. Avoid the distress and use a more detailed map than what the Charlie rental provides. In all we had an excellent vacation, made even more so by Oscar's genuine hospitality and beautiful accommodations. We hope to some day return.
